The Hundred-Foot Journey (2014)
The Hundred Foot Journey... Heart - warming and feel good movie!
The Hundred Foot Journey was such an inspirational and fantastic film to watch. It has been one of the best movies of all time I have seen in my lifetime. During my life and being only 18 years old I have always been considering what to do in my life, whether it be going into a career through passion and happiness, or just the money; but after watching this film about Hassan (played by Manish Dayal) it had gave me clarity on wanting to follow my dreams of becoming a chef and taking that risk of a Hundred Foot Journey.
Helen Mirren, Manish Dayal and Om Puri and all the rest of the actors and actresses were truly superb in this film not fault them one bit. Having someone like Manish Dayal play the character of Hassan was the best choice for the film, as he played the character fantastically as well as being a handsome man himself.
Overall, such a heartwarming and feel good movie that I would recommend watching with the family.
Roy (2015)
Roy... A boring yet confusing love story
Having watched Roy in the cinema yesterday on my birthday, was not worth paying to watch at all. The movie was very slow and boring as it had started, you could have fallen asleep within the first five minutes as it was dis-interesting.
The title of the movie Roy was very confusing throughout the film, as it was not understandable to what the plot of the film was. I was very disappointed at the actor's roles in this movie, as they generally all play very good characters in films, but sadly this did not work for them.
However, I would comment on the fact that the songs within the movie were very nice to hear and listen to, especially the lovely Ankit Tiwari producing and singing a few of the songs.
Overall, my recommendation to people who would like to go and see this movie is not to go and spend huge amounts at the cinema to watch this movie as it lacked to grab the audience's attention, instead just wait till it comes out on DVD, even though I personally would not recommend that.
