Kill Theory (2009)
Mandy Lane meets Saw in this intense slasher filled with endless twists
Kill Theory is the best horror film i have seen in a long time. Filled with unpredictable twists what further elevates it is the fact that everyone is a killer and anyone could kill anyone at any moment this keeps you at the edge of your seat. The acting is also above average for this kind of film especially Agnes Bruckner ,Taryn Manning,Teddy Dunn and newcomer Ryanne Duzich. Carly Pope fans are in for a disappointment as she is only featured in a picture (deleted scenes?) given the quality of the film it is a wonder that lions-gate has shelved this for so long since it could become the next Saw. The running time is somewhat short at about 80 minutes but the film makes up for that with its fast pacing.
Circus (2000)
an overpacked confusing film
Circus could have been so much better if they had reduced the number of twists and developed each better the film features a very gifted cast that mostly perform well , however it totally loses the audience basically everyone is back stabbing everyone else and not back stabbing them at the same time because they are backstabbing someone else and working with .... did i lose you? well the film is even more confusing clearly written by a first timer writer , it has some redeeming qualities though in the acting especially Famke Janssen shines as Lily but sadly gets a lot of USELESS screen time just standing there doing nothing.....the dialogue is a bit cheesy and the accents sometimes irritating but its still worth watching if you're a fan of any of the actors especially John and Famke who get the most screen time just remember to watch it with a notebook so you can write down who is double crossing who every second....
The Treatment (2006)
Magnificent Movie great acting all round!
the trailers for "The Treatment" were kinda crappy but the movie is something else entirely this is a movie that is much better than its trailer suggest it's Light hearted and funny with a lot of substance it isn't at all cheesy or dark . the acting is truly amazing we have three unmatchable leading actors Chris Eigeman ,Ian Holm and Famke Janssen all three give some of their best work here..the movie is smart and funny and the ending leaves the Dr Morales bit open is he real or just a figment of Chris Eigeman's imagination? watch this one in theatres fans of any Famke , Ian and Chris will not be disappointed no matter how high their expectations.
City of Industry (1997)
Excellent little film with amazing acting especially from Famke Janssen
I loved this movie i caught it on TV and wasn't expecting much it surprised me the twist at the beginning of the movie is very unexpected and shocking Keitel is good as the guy hungry for revenge but he's not the kind of actor who makes you feel sorry for me Famke Janssen compensated that by an amazing dramatic role too bad she had little to do in the first half of the movie but once the movie starts to focus on her it gets better and better! Doroff is great as the villain , Lucy Liu is also in this in a very small but nude role!i look forward to seeing him in other films overall great movie a must see for all Famke Janssen fans!
Love & Sex (2000)
Best Movie Ever!
Love and sex has got to be the best movie ever although it is inappropriately named despite it's name it has no nude scenes i'm a big fan of Janssen and this movie is one of her best! she is just excellent for the part , this movie is very similar to Sandra bullock type movies and Janssen looks remarkably like Sandra in this movie! i script is amazing a lot of great lines ! can't wait to see more work from the director! the supporting cast in also very good especially Jon Faverau who is Kate's main love interest this is definitely a movie you should buy though it is a bit hard to find it's worth it! some parts are a bit too convenient like her meeting Adam's favourite actor and a store etc. but stuff like that can;t hurt such an amazing movie! 20/10
X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)
X3 is simply remarkable!
X3 is simply remarkable. The war IS here and now they have flipped the coin again. X2 put Men against the Mutants instead of the Mutants against Men scenario of the first. Now, we get the ultimate Mutant vs Mutant matchups. This time there is more to offer in this superior sequel. Better action, humor, sadness, effects and a stronger connection for our heroes and villains. X3 never undermines the audience and does all that is expected of it. Direction is great by Brett Ratner and though they take us somewhere fresh, the script was smart and fun. Sound is sharp and vigorous, as you'd expect from an action film. Design is suave and the collaboration between whatever was left of Singer's crew and Ratner's crew was flawless. The overall impact of this film leaves you with a great sensation of a job well done. Fast paced, spellbinding visual effects and with that gripping final well let's just say I'm counting the days until we meet again. Give me an X4 despite what the title of this movie says.
