Chemistry, chemistry, chemistry!
2 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
First off.....wowzers!! That first kiss.....steeeaaming! I've watched many romantic films and I'm always disappointed when the main characters kiss and they have no chemistry...this did not happen here....finally! A movie where they really really kiss.....not wanting to sound like a teenager, but it was epic.

This movie had balance as it addressed both sides, e.g if the genders were reversed. Does it really matter? I may be a bit desensitised to the subject matter as I'm an avid reader of romance and even though I hadn't read this book, I've read many others that are similar. In fact a lot of age gap romance books have the male main character as the older person.

I really loved the movie, the chemistry, the characters, the outward feelings gave it the edge. Solène felt very human to me. Ann Hathaway had a strong grasp on the character and her acting reflected how a lot of women that age would react.

The humour worked well, I laughed out loud when the woman at the camp said she wished it was her.

I myself am in my forties and have a 16year old daughter who I'm lucky to have a very close relationship, so it was a joy to watch their interactions on screen. Although I am very jealous of Solènes wardrobe.... I want to dress like her when I'm a grownup!

Nicholas Galitzine played his part perfectly.

Such an enjoyable movie, one that I will watch again. Acting was great, everything was believable and I was rooting for their HEA.

Welcome to Wrexham (2022– )
10/10
I'm addicted to this!
20 April 2024
I've grown up with watching football here and there, but have never understood the leagues etc. The documentary is not only informative, but so well rounded.

There is no ego in any episode, the history of not only Wrexham but other clubs. The community of Wrexham and covering other football clubs and their history has been heartwarming. The all encompassing stories of the people in Wrexham, the highs and lows....the people are the heart of the programme. I've been cheering alongside Wrexham and I'm just an observer!

Some people might say it's unfair....who cares! You never turn down an opportunity, especially when it lands on your doorstep, who would?

I'm such a fan.

The Fabric of Christmas (2023 TV Movie)

The lead actress stole the show!!
1 December 2023
I'm a huge fan of Christmas movies and this one didn't disappoint. The premise wasn't anything unusual, but what sets a good Christmas movie apart from the others is the acting. Some actors are just so cringe worthy and you can literally see them acting, but in this movie they were believable. The lead actress I found very endearing and she came across so naturally. Her smile made me smile, and her reactions felt lifelike and not overdone. The supporting cast I really liked, and the relationship between the brother and sister was so heartfelt.

Overall a good Christmas movie, but the lead actress stole the show.

I was blown away 10/10

Having never heard of or played the game, I watched without any preconceived ideas, or expectations. I laughed, I cried, I jumped, I shouted at the TV. The connections between all the characters felt palpable through the screen. Joel was such an amazing character. Full of depth and such perfection on screen. Pedro Pascal was the perfect casting. Even without knowing the games before hand, he just completely embodied Joel. Bella Ramsey was an absolute joy to watch. Ellie was just so badass. She had me laughing out loud as well as crying. The writers and game creators deserve every award going. It will be a series I will watch over again.

Amazing!
7 December 2022
The top shelf of a Hallmark movie! With Tyler Hynes you just can't go wrong. His one liners and style of acting has the perfect mix of humour and believability. Holland Roden was fabulous, gorgeous, natural and beautiful to watch. The two of them together were the perfect hallmark match.

I've said in another similar review that the kiss at the end must be good....this didn't disappoint! No awkwardness and I felt their onscreen chemistry.

The storyline was a cut above, it was hearfelt and different from the norm. This year a few of the movies (three men included) have knocked it out the park for a perfect fireside Christmas movie. More please hallmark!

Christmas Plus One (2022 TV Movie)

What a great Christmas movie!
6 December 2022
The ambience on this film was superior to others. The acting was really organic and made for a 'cozy down with a hot chocolate' Christmas movie experience. The relationship between the sisters was completely believable and I really enjoyed their connection. It came across on so well on screen I checked if they were sisters in real life!

The setting for the film was just perfect.....real snow!! No awful fake snow.... Hallelujah!!

I always wait for the kiss at the end and this didn't disappoint. Although Corey is great, the actress is what made this movie. Her facial expressions were just so genuine and endearing and her acting was so natural.

Highly recommend!

Loved it!

I love these Christmas movies. They are usually a bit hit and miss, but I was pleasantly surprised. This one ticked all the boxes. The acting was really good, they had natural chemistry and I couldn't stop smiling the whole way through. Their reactions to each other felt organic and natural. The feelings it gave me is exactly what I want from a Christmas movie. The story line was believable and the romance was just enough. It was the acting that really sold it for me though. It may seem a bit daft commenting like this over a Christmas movie of this type, but compared to some I've seen it really was worth watching.

Excellent important episode
17 June 2021
So important to show what is going on in the real world. Someone wrote that they didn't know what was happening in America...wow, seriously!! Such an ignorant sheltered view of the real world.

The real world is filled with politics and is messy. So some saying that it should be based on medicine only....how about looking up real statistics and how many people are injured or beaten up because of racism. Greys is based on real life, not just real life medical procedures. So it's ok to get caught up and watch the romantic stories on greys but not actual important issues that are actually life and death for some people. Covid is real life, racism is real life, politics is real life. If you don't want to watch about real life issues then don't....go watch something on the sci fi channel ffs.

Fantastic series but it could've done with a bit of a back story to make it easier to follow in places.

Warning: Spoilers
Amazing series. I binge watched the whole thing. It made me cry, angry, happy....all the emotions. The character development was brilliant, very subtle but completely in line with the story and the acting was just on point. Not everything needs to be loud and brash as that's not real life. You felt invested in the lives of these women and wanted justice for them. People giving negative reviews fail to realise something, it wasn't just about finding him and getting him convicted but the lives of everyone and the story telling. Having some big Hollywood action sequence of the arrest would not have enriched the story line, not everything needs to be loud with bells and whistles on it. I'm hoping there will be another series as although they've closed this chapter they've left it open for another story line with the two detectives. Amazing!!!

You either get this movie or you don't
10 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The reviews on here are split, I enjoyed this movie, I understood her....sympathised with her. Some reviewers see that the husband did his best, tried to "cheer" her up, to understand her, gave her everything......unfortunately sometimes that just isn't enough. You have to look at this film through the eyes of depression and you may say she didn't help herself....she tried to talk to her mum but was met with a brick wall. She tried to talk to her husband but again he didn't really try to understand her, yes he asked her what she needed but when you don't know yourself there is no answer. He just seemed annoyed with her that she was unhappy. She was in the midst of despair...she hit rock bottom and ran. Selfish yes but it's either that or throw yourself in front of a bus. She needed perspective, distance gave her that.

Hmmm not sure about this episode!
13 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The ways it's filmed feels like a soap opera, greys feels more gritty visually. Also they were chatting about relationships whilst on an emergency call and it just didn't feel like there was any urgency...a child had fallen into a manhole and the two women were chatting casually whilst getting equipment out of the rig!!!
