Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Subspace Rhapsody (2023)
Terrible.
I'm glad they're willing to experiment on this series, (like the fantastic Star Trek Lower Decks crossover episode two episodes prior.
BUT, Things we never needed in Star Trek, a musical.... And hopefully we'll never have again.
Terrible, just an unnecessary way to ruin an episode, in a short season already. It's not like it has 24 episodes like a typical network television show, where you can have a throwaway episode... In an otherwise great series/season, this is a regrettable blemish. And it'll be skipped when I rewatch the series again. (or maybe someone needs to make a edited version of the episode with all the singing taken out??
I don't know who's idea this was, but I hope it never ever happens again.
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Please make a fix to this show.
Sonequa Martin-Green, can you please stop whispering 95% of your lines.....
It's annoying as crap trying to watch this show, she's the worst for the whispering, but a lot of the other actors do it as well all the time.
You have to constantly be raising or lowering the volume while watching every episode.
There has to be a way to even fix this in post production even....
Shaft (2019)
Avoid.
If you're a fan of the original trilogy, or even the first Sam Jackson film. Just stop there.
Don't taint the series by watching this garbage.
Other than a couple funny lines, there is really nothing overly enjoyable about this film.
F9 (2021)
I was being VERY generous giving this a 6/10.
The series was better when it was about crimes involving street racers.
Other than the 'origin story". There is almost no redeeming qualities for this film.
Now they're super spies, with pretty much super powers. (Dom, somehow has Hulk type strength now?)
This is by far the worst installment of the series.
Story is terrible. Ridiculous CGI "stunts", that all the laws of psychics go out the window. I know it's a movie, but at least try and make it somewhat believable.
Honestly, save your money, and wait for it to come to Netflix in a few months.
Pick It Up!: Ska in the '90s (2019)
What a let down.
Basically the rise and fall of the pop/punk ska Bands "that made it".
Otherwise left pretty much everything else out of it. A big let down for something I was really looking forward to watching.
Oliver! (1968)
It must have been a sad year for movies in 1968 for this to win best picture.
Admittedly I don't enjoy musicals.
But I've been watching all the best picture winners in order, so I had to sit through this rubbish.
