Salaar: Cease Fire - Part 1 (2023)
Dark cinematography and Confounding Narrative
The movie "Salaar" is a complex tale that weaves together elements from different genres and periods. The storyline is non-linear, which can leave the audience feeling uncertain about the period in which events are unfolding. The characters themselves are a blend of historical and modern traits, adding to the enigmatic nature of the plot.
Moreover, the movie draws inspiration from various works, including "Game of Thrones," "Call of Duty," and even elements of a zombie apocalypse, making it a unique and unpredictable experience for the viewers. However, this combination of genres can also contribute to the overall sense of confusion that runs through the plot.
While the film boasts visually stunning elements and features a captivating performance by Prabhas, its consistent darkness and baffling storyline detract from its overall impact. The mixture of genres makes it challenging for the audience to grasp the movie's intended message and purpose.

Hunger (2023)
Hunger: A Thought-Provoking Film about Food, Class Divide, and the Culinary World"
Hunger is a compelling and thought-provoking film that explores the world of cooking and the class divide that exists in society. The movie follows the story of Auy, a young cook who manages her father's old noodle house. Auy is given the opportunity to work with Chef Paul, the owner of a very popular catering business that caters to the elite.

However, the film's ending falls short of expectations. It feels somewhat rushed, and the resolution is not as satisfying as it could have been. The film could have benefited from a different ending that tied up loose ends and provided a more satisfying conclusion.

Martyr or Murderer (2023)
Martyr or Murderer: A Masterpiece that Leaves You Begging for More!
Oh my goodness, what an excellent movie "Martyr or Murderer" is! From the very beginning, I was completely captivated by the story and was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire film. The acting was superb, with each actor bringing their own unique style to the characters they portrayed. Kristine did an outstanding job as Imee Marcos; You could see Cesar as the real Ferdinand Marcos Sr. On the screen; Ruffa G also did a great job as Imelda Marcos.
The storyline was both thought-provoking and deeply poignant, taking the audience on a journey that was both heart-wrenching and enriching. Despite the subject matter being heavy, the movie was delivered with a nuanced and sensitive approach, making it both accessible and engaging.
The movie truly debunks all the propagandas of the "yellow" supported with documents and facts. It even challenged the so-called historians if they see any history distortions in the movie. In fact, the movie is an eye opener to all and a revelation of what truly happened and the reason behind Ninoy Aquino's actions towards Ferdinand Marcos and Imelda.
The production design and cinematography were breathtaking, with every visual detail carefully crafted to enhance the story and transport the audience into the world created by the filmmakers in different timelines. It is clear that the movie was made with a lot of care, attention, and passion, and it truly pays off.
Overall, I cannot recommend "Martyr or Murderer" enough. It is an outstanding movie that deserves all the accolades it receives. I will definitely be telling everyone I know to watch it and cannot wait to see, the next franchise of the movie, Mabuhay Aloha Mabuhay!
Maid in Malacañang (2022)
An absolute masterpiece
It was the first time in my entire life that a movie had such a profound impact on me from beginning to end.
The chapters are their entirety highlights. In the movie, each character has a standout moment.
1. The scene between Marcos Sr. And MarcosJr. Is excellent and ends with some humor.
2. I was deeply moved by the interaction between Irene and Marcos Sr. Irene's speech reflects her anguish very viscerally.
3. Imelda and Marcos Jr. Scene also made me shiver, and the scene where Imelda recognizes her jewelry and shoes captivated me. In the end, one of the maids sings the background music, and Biday is hilarious.
4. I was moved by the scene between Marcos Sr. And Imee in which he declared Imee to be his favorite and most trusted child.
5. But it was the sight with all the house staff and security officers that moved me and practically shed a tear to my eye. The three main maids address the entire staff in this scenario in order to inform them of the apparent departure of the first family. I was only able to control myself because I was sitting next to another viewer. But if I'm by myself, I imagine I'll be sobbing uncontrollably.
6. The final chapter, in which the servants lamented their exile with the family but were forced to use a piece of yellow clothing from Imelda's closet, is similarly heartbreaking.
Even as I write this review, I can't stop crying. The movie is a true masterpiece and magnificent. I'll watch this movie again, I swear.
Shyam Singha Roy (2021)
Fiction but compelling story.
A very compelling film, especially towards the conclusion. Despite the fact that it is a fictional story, the plot is highly convincing and will make you cry with joy.
After seeing the movie, I got a great feeling. I give this film a ten out of ten.
Uyare (2019)
A very inspiring movie
Even if there are no heavy lines or dramatic sequences, watching the film might make you feel the victim's sorrow and rage towards the acid attacker, who also happens to be her boyfriend. Tovino's character, on the other hand, provided the necessary balance between sadness and hope. His presence makes it simpler to move on from Pallavi's situation. After watching the film, you will feel good.
Kilometers and Kilometers (2020)
Feel-good movie
I had a good time watching the movie.
It was really nice to see India's family-oriented culture and how the family helps one other. Josemon is a naive young man with a huge heart. In the absence of his father, who died in a factory accident when he was a child, he was the one who looked after his mother and sister. Cathy, an American tourist, was able to change her perspective on money, family, and friends after spending time with Josemon on a sight-seeing trip. Josemon is Cathy's driver, and he accepted the job to help pay off his debt and his sister's tuition. After seeing this film, you will feel good.
House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths (2021)
A perfectly narrated story
The documentary narrated what was happened to the eleven members Of a Family. But Of course, the extent of The story Is taken Only from The evidence they were Gathered. And Only to Those events That have witnesses. But there could be a more deep reason why The incident happened. But that more accurate explanation could be beyond the natural life we are in.
The occurrence of the death of eleven members of the family, with the eleven vent pipes, found on the side of the house, and the eleven-year timeline of the diaries, cannot be just concluded as a Coincidence. It seemed that there is a logic behind this occurrence. But again, the explanation is beyond the common understanding.
Haseen Dillruba (2021)
Excellent Movie!
Pleasing cinematography
Delightful musical score
Wonderful story
Excellent movie.
The Circle (2020)
Entertaining and Engaging
If you started watching it, you cannot help but finish this till the finals. Every episode is very entertaining. The characters are very articulate and eloquent. Nice entertainment.
Black Mirror: Playtest (2016)
A dumbfounded ending.
I was already happy with the ending that the main character flew back to his home. I thought there would be a reconciliation with his mom, whom he's avoiding talking on the phone. But that supposedly an ending is just a part of the playtest and is still in the test room. The actual ending reveals that all the scenes shown after he was injected with the apparatus have happened in 0.04 seconds in real life. It felt unfortunate that the main character died in the true ending. I was dumbfounded. The moral? Do not ignore your mom.
Black Mirror: Nosedive (2016)
4.0, not enough to be 4.5
There is a moral in the story, but I find the plot shallow. The idea of ranking people based on the likes/dislikes of other people through posts on social media doesn't make sense to me. It can never happen in the real future life. However, the cinematography is quite impressive to me. It's like watching Edward Scissorhands or Alice in Wonderland settings.
Black Mirror: Black Museum (2017)
Weird, but Interesting
The first scene in the desert is stunning views accompanied by a beautiful song. The storytelling is engaging that you will not be able to quit watching. However, I can't take a stare at the sadist scenes; too brutal to look at; this made me took out the one star in my rating.
In the telling of the first story, I thought that there would be no harm that will happen to the current characters since the stories happened a long time ago as they are being told by one of the characters.
And then, in the last item in the museum, I felt that the storyteller goes beyond what is humane, based on his stories. The same feeling as I saw by the black guest. I never thought a twist would emerge. But in the end, justice was served, and cruelty, even though not direct, ended.
Black Mirror: Metalhead (2017)
Nonsense!
I don't get the idea of risking lives to get a teddy bear. It doesn't make sense to me. I gave it a 1 star for making me watch till the end.
Pink (2016)
Best Courtroom Scene of all Time
Amitabh Bachan did an outstanding and excellent job in his role. I can watch and listen to his speeches in the courtroom scene repeatedly, but the richness of his voice portraying as a lawyer remains stunning. I could say that the court scene is the best of all time.
Family Feud (1999)
Fun and Enjoyable to watch again and again.
This is the only game show that I am watching everyday in the YouTube. Even I watch an episode again and again, the fun never fades. Steve Harvey is the best man to host the show. In comparing with other games shows, the prize is not that big but the excitement and the happiness it gives to the players is enjoyable to see.
Lady and the Tramp (2019)
Good but not as good as the Cartoon version
I was so excited to watch one of my favorite classic cartoon "The Lady and the Tramp" in its live version. However, after watching it, the feeling that I felt was not as ecstatic when I watched the original version.
First thing that made me wonder is that the lady owner and her auntie became black. Though in current time it is not an issue but during the setting of early 1900's, I think that is incorrect. Nevertheless, it's a fiction so this is not an issue to me.
I also missed Si and Am, the two Siamese cats and their very entertaining Chinese-like melody. It was replaced by two male cats with a not so appealing cats, which I find not a good replacement.
However, I was not disappointed in the "Bella Notte" scene. It was as romantic as it was in the cartoon version. Although the new version doesn't sound like Italian, but it was as romantic as before.
The "He's a Tramp" number inside the dog pound is not as fabulous as in the original version that uses other dogs as the background and back-up singers. You will not hear that in this new version but in fairness it was not that bad at all.
Trusty's crash scene was deleted. Instead it was Tramp that was lying on the street after the crash scene. I don't know but I was more emotional when it was Trusty that was hit instead of Tramp. Hence, I was not moved in that scene as I was in the cartoon version.
And the last scene that I was truly missed in this live version is that Lady and Tramp had four puppies. The three are lookalike of Lady and the only male puppy is Tramp lookalike. This for me is the most amazing happy ending the movie should have. But it was deleted in this live version.
Overall, I find the movie entertaining with some additional stories. But if I have to choose, I will watch the cartoon version again and again rather than this live version.
Bharat (2019)
A very heartwarming movie.
The story telling is outstanding.
I couldn't help to cry out loud during the scene of Bharat meeting his long lost sister Gudiya in a television show. That portion where people from both India and Pakistan are both looking for their love ones during the partition in 1947 is very touching. I also touched on a scene in Middle East where Bharat fight for their foods to be the same with the food of Westerner workers in Middle East.
It is a very nice and very heartwarming movie indeed.
Badla (2019)
Excellent Movie
I pity to those who gave poor rating only because its a remake or an adaptation of another movie. It was clearly mentioned on the beginning that the movie was based on the film Contraliempo (The Invicible Guest) written and directed by Oriol Paulo. So why discriminating its quality because its a remake?
I haven't seen the film Contraliempo, so I am basing my review based on this film only, Badla. I can say that the film has no dull moments. Every scene is worth watching. If you started watching it, you will never stop until you watched till the end. Again, Amitabh showed his excellent act as a lawyer just as I liked him in Pink. The twist at the end really surprised me. The twist that Mr. Gupta is on the side of Rani is already a surprise. But a further twist that Mr. Gupta is actually Nimral in disguise, the husband of Rani and the father of Sunny (the killed son) is a big bursts.
I really enjoyed watching this movie from the very beginning until the end. Thanks
