An error has ocurred. Please try againBut still Hollywood keeps signing them up for the "sexy woman" parts. I don't get what's so sexy about looking malnourished.
And please don't give us those "it's the way my metabolism works"-nonsense....

Aanmodderfakker (2014)
Don't be fooled, this is boring!
Although this story sounded a lot like Employee of the Month with "star actress" Jessica Simpson, Iwas still very eager to see this movie, since it won several awards.
Man, was I in for a surprise! It's a rather tedious story about a 32 year old slacker (how original! not!) that comes from old money and now misses focus in his life. A void that he fills with laziness, beer and chain smoking.
He is annoyed with everything and everyone, but has no problem sleeping with a 16 year old babysitter/idealist. Then there is a really silly scene that tries to emphasize how much fun the two of them have. Is the director trying to convince viewers that underage sex is great leisure time?
Long story short, it's too long, it's totally unoriginal and some of the acting (girl playing Lisa the babysitter) is really bad.
How can this movie have won so much awards? I know the selection from the Netherlands is not extensive, but still...
Make-Out with Violence (2008)
Slow and boring
This is sort of an indie coming-of-age story with snippets of horror.
Don't be misled by the cover and the title of this flick (as I was), because this is in no way a full blown horror flick.
Wendy comes back from the dead as some sort of a zombie. Without the craving for human brains that is, because once again: this is not a horror story.
The rest of the story is about Wendy's friends being bored and feeling sorry for themselves. Without having any shocking epiphanies while doing so.
The movie starts with over half an hour of storytelling and elaborating on the characters.
Although the acting is more than decent, the pace of the story is excruciatingly slow and filled with unnecessary scenes (buying a chocolate milkshake, minutes of walking through fields etc.).
Maybe it's me being impatient, but I turned it off. How long can one watch a couple of teenagers walking around explaining how sad they are?
But then again, that's just my 2 cents....
