Hytti nro 6 (2021)
90s Russia
They really tried and did everything to portray 90s capitalist Russia, took every western stereotype about 90s Russia and put it into Lyoha when irl he's a typical criminal portrayed as a regular Russian man,the whole movie it seemed like he was hiding that he was in jail for hideous crime, because how he acts is exactly how hardcore criminals in Russia act,not regular men,so it was confusing when they showed him as a regular miner.
They blurred out the nice parts of the city, really tried and found bad places of the cities, even the apartments look like from the 90s which are hard to find without renovation. Portrayed Russians as mean and uncivilized, the smoking on the train, constant drinking and rude train worker was obvious if you actually know the actual culture. Russians statistically drink less than western Europeans and train workers are picked for their service, not rudeness.
Ending was disappointing,I kept thinking whats the point of this movie other than the obvious Russia uncivilized? There was no romance really. No journey, she took a long train trip for nothing. It didn't show the actual beauties of the train trip locations, they blurred out the city on purpose. There was no romance, just a woman realizing her life is empty and that she surrounded herself with phonies and rather than holding onto something real she just left...
And I heard this movie is based on a book,is the book this disappointing too? I can write a better plotline.
La piel que habito (2011)
Wtf did I just watch
First of all the movie is awfully paced, boring scenes draw out too long, then they rush the most important scenes without an explanation leaving massive plot holes and the movie just ends..
Movies description is nothing what you really get, there's no horror genre in this either, might aswell remove it.
Makes you think why such people are even allowed to make movies like this and how many psycho's think like that own the movie businesses.
The psychopathic obsession over gender and sex. I watched a lot of movies that touch such evil subjects but they have a moral lesson in it somewhere. This movie doesn't teach you anything, leaves a gross feeling in your stomach, realizing movies like these are based on real events that can only be talked about through movies,it is well known what showbiz does to your sexuality. I feel like Pedro is telling us something he can't tell on live tv. That this is common in the west especially among kids. Just look at famous actors and their trans kids who 'decided' at age 4 who they are, when we grown ups don't know who we are. How is this movie not a perfect description what is truly going on?
Our Ladies (2019)
Vulgar=comedy?
Tell modern women acting like a slave to a man's wet dream by constantly objectifying yourself is feminism and freedom and they will do it in an instant.
This is what first wave of feminism was against, vulgar skanks who tough men that females are sex objects. Real feminists wanted to take out females out of sex. Feminism wasn't about worker rights, majority of first wave feminists were happy housewives but they saw what prostitution did to others, first and foremost it was a fight against objectification, destroying brothels and other 'houses' of female humiliation and rather giving females a right to find an actual job if they didn't want to marry and be housewives.
That's what real feminism stood for,a choice to either have a job that doesn't humiliate you and gives you intellectual pleasure or a choice to be at home raising kids taking care of a huge house--(which I would consider a real job because back then they didn't have any technology that we do now and 2 parents working was impossible unless you owned slaves,it took hours of hard work to clean and wash and cook, now it's 30 minutes work and females can easily work part time at least while having 100% of chores on their shoulders, back then you also didn't have so many choices where to leave your kids so one parent always had to be at home)--
A Mouthful of Air (2021)
Clearly ppl don't know what depression is.
I had suicidal depression since I was a kid, don't understand why everyone is saying that it's postpartum depression or suicidal depression that led her to suicide, you don't get paranoid like that with it,you don't get panic attacks either you don't even self harm like that from suicidal depression, you self harm to numb the emotional pain from past trauma's,self harm and suicide is two completely different things, ppl who self harm don't want to die, they want to numb the pain, majority of suicidaly depressed ppl don't self harm, usually they don't feel anything to the point they see no point in living, that's why it's so shocking when you find out that person killed him/her self, there's no signs, postpartum depressed moms don't take care of their kids like that either,I know women who had postpartum depression and they couldn't even see their kids let alone take care of them, they would feel disgusted and it's not even treated with the pills,it's made worse with them because it's mostly hormones that cause it and it needs time and therapy, yes she had depression but it's not the nr.1 cause of her suicide,I would say it's ptsd from being molested by her father, you can see that clearly when the father came into her life, clearly he's a pedo who from one side groomed her and other beat her.
How can ppl not see that, look how he touched her at the end of the movie while painting the walls, and then she killed herself realizing she's having a girl who also can be molested, the suicidal thoughts is just a symptom of blocked memories of her being molested, when she realized she was having a baby girl it all went down hill because she saw herself, just remember the moment when she was told the gender-panic attack. While her having a baby boy didn't affect her that much, the part where she constantly thought Teddy could get hurt is also not depression,it's OCD-constant negative thoughts. If all she had is depression she would have been fine without any pills. It's her child memories of her father that's the cause. I'm amazed how they pop pills that affect the baby but don't go to therapy to unlock those memories that's the main cause.
Western medicine, treat the symptom but not the cause-get constant clients who can't stop taking antidepressants because they don't treat the actual cause of the depression.
Chaos Walking (2021)
Worth a watch,ignore bad reviews.
Again the bad reviews are incorrect,it's a decent sci-fi movie, but people wanted a 10/10 because of the money and grade A actors in it.
They hyped themselves up and should be blaming themselves for falling into that pit of waiting years for it and getting disappointed, that's why you never follow hype.
While for ppl who are going into this movie blind it's an OK movie, don't listen to reviewers, they are like those fanatic book readers who expect a 1h movie to reflect 5000 pages of their book.
You Should Have Left (2020)
Decent mystery,no horror.
Don't know why so many trashy hollywood movies written for 12 year olds get 8+ ratings and this one can't even reach 6+,it has decent writing but no action and people are so dumbed down and have no attention span to just chill and watch a mystery, they want constant CGI like in those dumb superhero movies with no logic and written for babies to comprehend.
Some even complain that this movie is extremely slow,I've seen slow movies, this is not a slow paced movie, you're brain is just of a fish.
