Fisher (2021)
Don't believe the reviews
First off the actors completely destroy the film. They are simply terrible. No redeeming qualities. They have regional accents. Perhaps it may have been a better film if they cast differently.
I am amazed at some of the the indie films how bad the acting. One should realize that acting can make or break a film. Obviously there is more to a film but if you want to ruin to film then this is the way to do it.
The soundtrack was not bad so this is a positive, I guess and as I mentioned the story could have been made intriguing and interesting but alas everything was ruined by those that portrayed the characters.
Attaway General (2020)
And this being renewed while this has one star.
It seems perhaps people watch this because this it is the most pathetic TV show out there.
It is horrific on all levels. Yes, the acting is just terrible on all levels. These kids and adults are simply not actors and it shows. There are so many trained and capable actors that this is a shame that these people are used off of their Tik Tok fame. It's an insult to true actors that have worked hard to find work.
The script as well is just garbage, but still perhaps decent actors could have made it bearable but not so.
I am shocked that this is renewed but yes, maybe it's because they are getting views from people so they can laugh at it.
Kid 90 (2021)
Overdue empathy from a self-absorbed spoiled kid star
Obviously the film is still about her and her story, so it's basically self-absorbed. I am not really interested i her, I am interested in the nostalgia and looking back at the period.
The film is a sad reflection of what happens in life when we are given everything. We often lose meaning. We need something bigger than ourselves and perhaps she is realizing this now. I don't know if that's true or if that's for the purpose of looking good for the documentary.
There are so many sad stories like the ones in this film.
If we can gain anything from this film, it's that people are struggling and too often we are selfish and don't notice until it's too late.
Perhaps we need to look outside ourselves for happiness and purpose.
Painted in Blood (2022)
This whole film was created by one person, so before judging take that into account
I realize it's easy to make judgments, but first realize, yes this is a micro budget film. This was actually done by one person. Everything. So take this into account. The acting overall wasn't that bad compared to many higher budget productions I have watched. The main actor was talented and played the role well. The curator was good.
The film was well done considering the budget and the paintings at the end were cool and played well. This wasn't really violent but still creepy so I admire this filmmaker.
I think we should always consider these things before making judgments on films especially when there are so many crappy high budget films.
The Charnel House (2016)
2 stars for location
Maybe they had a good deal on locations, but the film cannot be compared.
The story is really kind of unoriginal and quite a bit of ghostly moos from cows.
I think casting could have done better and just perhaps some of the dialogue was ridiculous so maybe the actors didn't have much to work with in the first place.
It is remarkable that I sat through this.
Body at Brighton Rock (2019)
No girl power in this film
For anyone that is looking for strong female films. This is not for you. This really portrays women in a immature and negative light, although maybe they were just trying to be realistic. It was a boring film.
Matriarch (2018)
I don't understand why people are hating on this
Considering how small this was and the micro-budget I give this film credit. It is not something I will remember forever, but the acting wasn't as bad as people claim opposed to many other films in the US.
Not the most original plot, but not that bad. I have seen a lot worse in regards to thriller/horror.
I wish the best for the writer/actor for taking initiative in something like this. It is a step closer to something bigger perhaps.
Johnny Frank Garrett's Last Word (2016)
Decent film for what I assume a lower budget
I liked the story and yes, I don't know the history behind it so I just went with it.
I am still going through it, the issue I have is some of the minor actors.
I think the lead actors are strong, but the other ones are just bad. Like in the jury room.
Like they grabbed a bunch of extras from holding and gave them lines.
Good for the actors bad for the film.
Here is where I think they could have done better.
Crazy Love (2018)
I want to like it.
The stories are real, so it interests me but the acting is really quite amateur so that ruins it for me.
I am not sure but maybe they were using new actors or just bad ones.
Two Sentence Horror Stories (2017)
Two sentence Woke boring Stories
So here we are again where it is against them in the US. Instead of ever coming together they always tear us apart in Hollywood/I am not even sure if this is considered Hollywood by the acting and writing.
Bad white people against minorities. Come on please. Can we write something that is just without making generalizations here? Stories based on good writing?
Indeed, these lack that firs and foremost maybe by pushing their agendas they forgot about how to create films that actually entertain people.
On the Case with Paula Zahn (2009)
Captain obvious.
Did this case upset you?
When the case went cold, his did you feel?
How did it feel when the case could not be solved?
Obviously these questions are going to be answered in such ways that are, well obvious.
Murder Comes to Town (2014)
True crime with horrible actors
I love true crime, but the acting in this is just awful. It takes away from the show and the seriousness of it.
I understand they may have a low budget, but I have no idea where they find these people. Well, I know it is in the south because everyone has a southern accent.
They can do better than this with even free actors.
Cruel Summer (2016)
Does the guy really believe his girlfriend slept with that boy?
That guy was obviously a moron to start with. To believe his girlfriend slept with this kid who has autism. I would think he would go kill his girlfriend and not the kid with autism...
That whole plot part makes the film idiotic and then the rest of movie just gets worse.
The Perfect Murder (2014)
This is like a comedy how bad it is.
This has got to be one of the worst shows I have watched. The writing and acting are awful and it is comedic that It is so bad. If you want to watch a show to see the worst actors in television, than this is the show for you.
I guess they don't even do second takes either. There are obvious mistakes in the dialogue and people flub their lines but they keep it.
Yes. Really.
