¿Quién Mató a Sara? (2021)
Alex the hacker
For people complaining about Alex being a hacker not making sense, please remember in the very first few episodes in flashbacks showing the prison, he had worked in the computer section of the prison. There is like a little workshop where people get to fix computers and have access to networks and IT related things. So I guess he had learned the hacking tricks there.
Control Z (2020)
Weak characters and no charisma
The characters were not given enough time and attention to grow properly.. everything was rushed to draw a conclusion but the could have been done in 2 seasons or so. We didn't even get the a proper back story about the main protagonist of the film, let alone other characters. When the back story is missing, it becomes hard to make sense why people do what they do.
Also I'm watching this after having watched 3 seasons of Elite.. And I can say the characters here lack a lot of charisma.. both in acting and story.. I did not connect to any of the characters.. whereas in Elite they story arcs were nicely written and I felt really connected to some of the characters which made the show memorable.. hopefully that will improve with Control Z over next seasons.
The Last Kingdom (2015)
Great character development
A show with a good storyline and great character development.. Interesting to see how much sacrifices one can make for the well-being of people and yet receive so little in return. The chemistry between Uthred and Alfred is also quite interesting to watch.
Messiah (2020)
Where is this going?
The idea is interesting and unique and that's what made me watch it. But there are so many plot holes and weak character developments that do not make sense and leave you confused.
The main question is what is this guy's mission/message and is he truly connected to a divine/spiritual source?
Why is he so hesitant and vague in his interactions with people?
If he has a mission to save the world then why doesn't he express it properly and confuses everyone?
Also why would he have such a naive approach to the concept of world peace? America withdrawing all its troops sounded like quite a stupid thing to ask for. Even in reality we know doing such a thing wouldn't result in world peace. World peace would be possible when nations' and leaders' reach such high level of maturity to come and strive together to save the world from its turmoil. We are way far from that level of maturity and still a lot of education needs to be done around this matter.
Anna (2019)
Just for entertainment
The movie is alright if you have some time and you wanna watch something. Do not expect a sophisticated plot with a lot of twists. The acting is average, maybe because characters themselves don't have much to offer. The only part that made the movie more interesting to watch (but also a bit confusing) was the editing.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
Nicely made pointless movie
Definitely it should be acknowledged that this movie was nicely made from a technical perspective (filming, cinematography etc), and was accompanied by the professional acting of its well-known actors.
But downfall of this film is its disappointing plot. Some movies are made to build on and develop a story to deliver a message or meaning at the "end". Some other movies are just made to take the audience through a "process" and "journey" and through that journey they convey their meaning and message. This movie however was none of the two type I just mentioned. No depth in the story, long scenes that didn't necessarily play a role in the plot, as well as an ending that didn't even remain loyal to the real life incident. Not only me but also amongst the group of friends I watched this movie with, there was this sense of confusion about what was this movie trying to convey, even though we were not all foreign and new to QT's films and his brand and style of moviemaking.
