Avengers: Endgame (2019)
An epic ending among all superhero movies!
I have waited End Game for one year, after the infinity war. Day by day, my friends and I looked forward every single news about it. And it is really worthy for our patience! Most of the predictions are not correct. The movie has many surprising twists that even a true fan boy cannot predict. In the last 30 minutes of the movie, the sound I could hear clearly was clapping sound continuously from the audiences in the cinema. Awesome movie, great acting and creative surprising story!
Yip Man 3 (2015)
Boring movie and a predictable simple story
Like other Chinese movies, you see the beginning and know the ending. A hero representing the Chinese martial arts have to fight against other fighters and he always wins (like a superman).
I expected a better movie but I was aware that I had wasted my time to come to theatre to see it. It seems that the director never wants to change their mind to bring this kind of movie goes out of Asia. The main character faces to fighters from low level to high level (level 1 - 2 - 3 - 5). The way he lives looks like the way of a perfect person that no one else could be better! And that's all about kung fu Chinese movies of all time.
Not sure how this movie could come up to 8.0 (1k reviews) but I guess that 1k Chinese users tried to vote it up :)
The Book Thief (2013)
Please do not let it down just because you read the novel
It is never too late to find out a masterpiece. I read the book before enjoying the movie and I am deeply impressed with the role of Liesel Memiger. The actress is very amazing and she has beautiful eyes.
Some quotes from the movie and the book that I like most:
"When life robs you, sometimes you have to rob it back." - Liesel in the trailer.
"I have hated the words and I have loved them, and I hope I have made them right." ― the last line written by Liesel Meminger in her novel "The Book Thief," p. 528
"The only thing worse than a boy who hates you: a boy that loves you." ― Max, The Book Thief
"Imagine smiling after a slap in the face. Then think of doing it twenty-four hours a day." ― Markus Zusak, The Book Thief
"I am haunted by humans." ― Death, The Book Thief
"Mystery bores me. It chores me. I know what happens and so do you. It's the machinations that wheel us there that aggravate, perplex, interest, and astound me." ― Death's narration, p. 243
"A snowball in the face is surely the perfect beginning to a lasting friendship." ― Markus Zusak, The Book Thief
Although the movie lacked some important circumstances from the book, I still think that the director brought us many great new ideas.
