Lists
An error has ocurred. Please try againActors on the list are ranked according to the roles they've played in movie history. In my decision of ranking, I shall take notice of the actors success and abilities . So consider this list based on my own personal favorites ;)
So it could be that some big actor names are not included on this list!
My favorite Bonds where definitely Sean, Roger and Pierce. The hint of humor was there. Refined, knowledgeable, strength, common sense and where utterly ruthless. Besides the modern adaption of Daniel Craig’s character, he lacked class, personality and charms. As I think a Bond should been.
So I hope they will take the old route with the bond franchise and go for a kind more dynamic of James Bond movie style then an only action movie of 2 hours. Because it gets kind of boring in the end.
So my checklist for choosing bond:
1. Needs to be British: (English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh) Check
2. Needs to have depth. A Bond of older age between his 35 and 50’s. This is the only way to give the character the depth in the role and giving him the bond qualifications. Bond is a man not a boy. (This also means no Lashana Lynch or Tom Holland as a spoiled young brat with some fancy gadgets!) Check
3. Needs to have a strong character trait. The ability to take Bond to the next level in his own way. Sean was charismatic, Roger had charm and English humour, and Pierce had that ruthlessness with dark humour. That’s separates them from each other. Check
4. He surely needs to be a womaniser! So please, no more typical Daniel Craig is going to the job done if it comes to take on woman. Check
5. They need to be the face of Bond. If you say Pierce Brosnan or Daniel Graig you say Bond. If you say Sean Connery, you say James Bond. If you say Christian Bale, well then you say Batman… So no chance for me that actors with great blockbuster success and leading roles are going to be the face of the franchise. (Sorry Tom Hardy).
This list I based on my own personal favorites as typical bond actors ;)

Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024)
Doesn't live up to its full potential- but it's getting there.
A highly anticipated series lived up to expectations in its first season. Following the storyline of the original animated series, which resonates positively with me as a devoted fan, I therefore can say it's truly enjoyable to watch.
The landscapes, cities, and characters are vividly portrayed, creating a realistic and captivating world. The action scenes and fight choreography seamlessly integrate into the series, providing an engaging viewing experience as you expect from the animated show. The CGI, visual effects, costumes, and ambiance contribute to a high-quality production, evoking a strong and immersive "avatar" vibe.
While the acting of the main characters may occasionally feel a bit forced, this becomes less noticeable over time. The series comprises eight episodes, each offering compelling stories and well-executed action, avoiding any dull fillers or low resolution gaps between episodes.
However, my main critique lies in the series' inability to deeply connect me with the characters which the animated show does verry well , leaving a somewhat shallow impression. Despite this, there's hope that the character development will evolve in the upcoming season. Overall, it's a great watch, though not reaching the level of being exceptional.
Andor (2022)
Not just a great Star Wars show - a great TV show
Seeing recent Star Wars dissasters being released in the likes of Kenobi or Book of Boba Fett, I was totally not in the mooth for Andor.
Character and story looked bored, with no possible potential new story line (because of ending with rogue one) I Figuered just a melk cow as Disney likes it.
Haven't touched it in months, while being a Star Wars fan my entire life.
Now, last day I thought I'm just gonna take a quick look with no expectations and surprisingly it was really good.
From first, till last episode it was quite fitting story that wasn't fast rushed and strong quality production on every episode so far.
This is the main problem I have with most Star Wars series, total budget spend in first two episodes and final episode for attracting bigger audiences while ending up with the episodes in between that are low quality graphics, fillers and buckets of boring storylines which don't add something to the main storyline.
Andor hasn't got this problem. It's been a very strong build up that attracts you're attention and holding it towards the the end while going to a strong cliffhanger to season 2. I think it's on their with The Mandalorian. For me entertaining an good to watch. Overall an 8 as in IMDB numbers.
Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi (2022)
The only criminal thing to do..
Dave Filoni strikes again. Short stories in a real Star Wars manner. Maybe simple storylines, but follows the same strong story principle of the StarWars Clone wars. For people who haven't Seen Star Wars clone wars series this is a nice start to begin with.
It's enjoyable, gives character depth, not complicated to follow but still explains a lot of backstories that the main films do not.
Also the series visual style is definitely fine to see. The only criminal thing about these series, is that it was way to short. Of course it was announced. But still You want more of this after seeing.
StarWars at its peak. No more, no less. 9 out of 10.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
The series is just low resolution thinking
What a major disappointment. I don't understand that a million dollar company such as Disney has launched such a high anticipated serie as Kenobi on such a small budget. That's asking for trouble.
The serie looks cheap. The costumes are decent but the prosthetic make-ups are a complete joke. The CGI doesn't look finished either and doesn't give you the Star Wars experience such as in the movies or like in the Mandalorian. And man o' man I miss music such as John williams composes. The serie lacks a good overall Star Wars theme and soundtracks. Ending up all things together and It surely doesn't give you a Wow feeling. Not even close.
Overall: No excitement in fight scenes due to lame fight choreography, no build up in tension onwards the serie progresses and the storyline is just low resolution thinking.
Their is so much pontential in storyline and material they could of just ripped from SW legend, books and comics what would have worked during this time period and for this serie. Like what they do in Marvel they totally ignore in Star Wars and just try to reinventing the wheel on their own.
And so far it doesn't do them any good. The only reason why I give it a 5 is because of the voice of James Earl Jones doing Vader and the returning of Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor. I really enjoy to see them return on screen. Hopefully they get get what they deserve in Season 2.
The Book of Boba Fett (2021)
Storyline way to fast rushed
I have problems with the pace of the storyline. So far, It goes way to fast and easy for my linking. So far, here my Star Wars nerd review:
Clearly Fett has big shoos to fill for starting something simulair like Jabba's crime syndicate for controlling the city "Mos Espa". Jabba had big influence and power in Tattooine and was anything but dumb.
Thats the "problem" the makers want you believe Fett faces in the series. Okay, So how does this two man army of Fett will grow to such organization, which struggle's does he clearly need to face to achieve his goal and how does he respond to these problems in way as Bobba Fett would have done. A lot of potential for character development, if you ask me.
And thats the problem I have with the series. It's not an convincing answer. The acting and dialogue writing could be done so much better. Fett from the movies (and books) is a hard trained veteran who doesn't talk much but answers in cold hard action and sublime tactics and strategies. An intriguing fellow at his finest. In some ways this version of Fett is quite boring to watch. I hope they do more justice to the characters and story because this makes it less enjoyable to watch and sometimes makes just no sense at all.
