"For the Sake of a Child"
17 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Great episode! Gave me chills. The musical and the "For the Sake of a Child" scene gave me chills.

They added so many new characters and famous stars this season I was a little worried in the beginning. Then there were so many relationship dynamics going on in the side plots. Luckily, I didn't get confused watching week to week.

I loved the characters and side stories this season. I'm so glad this episode was so good. I love musicals. I really enjoyed the finale.

I always hate ending on a cliffhanger though. I understand setting up for another season but I like my seasons packed up with a nice bow just in case if there wasn't another season.

I'm conflicted.
20 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I can't decide how I feel about this movie. It auto-played after another Christmas movie so I went in completely blind. The streaming service had it under the "Christmas in the Heartland" title.

I forgave the handing over an airplane ticket being just handed over and all. Everything lining up for the girls to meet and get along while going to the same town (is it really a direct flight from Vermont?) was understandable in a Christmas movie. Then when they decided to switch places like the Parent Trap, even though they never met their grandparents in person, I wasn't sure if I could handle that premise. They have smart phones and therefore the internet so I don't understand how the grandparents didn't know what the kids looked like. I'm not sure why Jessie wasn't in contact with her grandmother or if it was because of the aunt.

Aside from that, the movie was completely predictable except for one detail that I had backwards (I thought Jessie's dad would be the son of Kara's grandfather). But I did enjoy the cast and the little ways they made it clear that Kara's dad couldn't hear Kara going under Jessie's name. I don't watch Christmas movies for unpredictable plot nuances so that was fine. I'm pretty sure people from Oklahoma might find some things offensive.

I still can't get over how or why switching places made sense or worked but I did enjoy the movie and get the warm fuzzies I so craved. I just had to verbalize my confusion several times to get through the movie. But I did get through the movie and was able to turn off my brain and enjoy it in the end.

Surprising Classic!
2 December 2022
I had seen the score was disappointing but I love Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell so I wanted to give this a fair chance. Their chemistry was amazing. I was sure what to expect from A Christmas Carol meets musical meets comedy. I ended up enjoying the music and actors and story.

It offered an updated fresh take on the original story. I actually became emotionally involved which was unexpected. I was worried about the ending because of some of the different character developments I wasn't sure how they would wrap it up but I wasn't disappointed.

I came away after watching the movie with that warm and fuzzy holiday feeling I was looking for. This will be an annual Christmas classic for me.

Delivers on Xmas Rom-Com
15 November 2022
If you want a Christmas rom-com, then watch this movie.

If you want a decent Christmas rom-com then this film delivers. It wasn't as original as my favorite Xmas rom-com last year but it's a feel-good predictable movie and makes you feel warm and fuzzy. That's what makes this genre what it is. It's better than the princess/castle, sequel, Santa, and Lifetime Christmas movies. Of course it is predictable, of course it includes the usual tropes, but that's part of the comfort in watching these films.

It was nice to see Lindsey Lohan in a fun role again and she looked like she was having fun in the outtakes. The cast was decent and fun. All of the characters were pretty likable.

$7.4 million budget
29 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The budget was $7.4 million and they could make a descent horror movie? How could the cg pet be so awful? This movie isn't even isn't even in the so bad that it's funny.

It's based on a chapter of "The Bridge to Body Island" of Robert Damon Schneck's book The President's Vampire. It's supposedly non-fiction.

I can't help by consider how many amazing horror movies out there that are not as mainstream as this movie with a much small budget.

If you want to spread the word, then why not keep people alive and slowly torment them? It doesn't make any sense. There are too many plot holes. There aren't even enough cheap jump scares.

It's not even a gorefest. I'm not sure what the movie has going for it. I hope there isn't a sequel. I don't understand how it was so mainstream and had such a budget.

Top Tier Xmas Movie
10 November 2021
I have seen hundreds Christmas Rom Cons and wasn't expecting much from another Christmas movie. Of course, they are all predictable snd heartwarming but that why we love them.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the characters were all likable. The movie references were cute. I really enjoyed this movie and it left me with a smile and happy tears.

So far this is my too Christmas Rom Com of the year so far and I'm sure I'll be watching it again sometime.

Real Emotional Rollercoaster
9 October 2021
This show was so much more powerful than I expected. I started watching and ended up staying up and watching the first 6 episodes in one sitting.

It's such a real powerful story. The characters are all realistic and the acting is great. I don't know how many times I cried but it was worth it to get to the happy tears.

I don't want to give anything away but I love how realistic it is showing emotional abuse and navigating broken systems. I hope this show will raise awareness of the issues addressed.

Every teen needs to watch this
16 May 2021
Documentaries like this should be shown in schools to every teenager along with a lecture. Additional information on cyberbullying would be great as well.

The great Maryville sheriff, Darren White, and Maryville mayor Jim Fall believe "It's not always the boys. Girls have as much culpability" among many other issues with Daisy's case...

RIP Audrie and Daisy.

This is also the story of Delaney and Paige but they don't get much mention in the summaries and plots of the film.

Amazing!
1 May 2021
I thought this movie looked entertaining when I saw the original trailer then forgot about. Today it showed up on my Hulu suggestions. Horror comedies are my favorite but this was much more. There is romance and drama as well. The characters are great. It's well made.

I laughed and I cried; I even gasped out loud a few times. Great movie! It needs more of an audience and appreciation. I highly recommend it if you are a fan of horror comedies or teen movies.

It's rated R so you don't have to deal with what they'd cut out with PG-13 movies.

Continues to Amaze Me!
17 April 2021
After season 1 was dealing with Zooey's dad I was worried the main focus was everyone's love lives. I was waiting for some deeper issues to arise. The end of this episode really hit me again like the previous episodes with her father did. I love this show so much.

Ugh...
10 April 2021
The show is so boring. I feel badly for Sam and his family but that's all I feel. Sam, Buckey, and Zemo are great characters and I get where Karli is coming from (I think). There are ways more questions than answers. No matter how much attention I pay, I'm still completely lost with some of the plot. I've watched videos and read articles to keep up with the characters which I shouldn't necessarily need to do. I just can't get into it.

I loved it!
28 February 2021
It takes a few episodes to get into the show. It starts out fun then things change or aren't as they seem like many great anime series. Some of the episodes were very emotional. I know one part of the ending was offensive to the light novel readers but they don't mention that here from my understanding. I loved the series and I cried at least a few episodes. It's underrated.

Good entertainment but one issue.
25 February 2021
The show is good (some seasons more than others) but there is one thing that always bothered me about the main character. I guess she initially hid her Bipolar Disorder but the manic erratic compulsive behavior and decisions she made and she was still in the CIA and a field agent???

Why?
25 February 2021
"The Heathers" is one of my favorite movies. This show is like some CW teen woke "Popular" meets "Mean Girls" meets names from "The Heathers" movie. It's awful. I gave it a chance but it's just so bad. I don't like any of the characters.

Amazing!
19 January 2021
I loved this anime. It was so beautiful and feel good as well as funny. All the characters are so wonderful. It reminds me of several feel good tv shows where the person from the big city movie to the small town in Alaska or an island or small town. I loved it.

More than a romance!
14 January 2021
I started watching this series after seeing it on a top romance list on MAL. It's more than just a romance. It's about students and adults on land and sea trying to learn to tolerate each other and work together. There is really so much going on and the themes are as deep as the ocean. I watched the dub on Netflix and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend it.

Not historically accurate but entertaining.
12 January 2021
Yes, there are several historical inaccuracies but makes for a good drama. The story is based on historical non-fiction so you can certainly look up the facts. I enjoy the characters. I like seeing Catherine's view point and her development as a character. She may be royalty but you can see her pain and struggle especially in the second season to provide an heir and try to live up to what everyone expects of her.

I wanted to love it.
27 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Sooo... There was some good but mostly bad. The action and full story were missing a lot. It made me sad but I didn't completely hate the movie because if you don't think about the bad too much and focus on the good you can shut your brain off and enjoy the movie.

The beginning never played into the movie which was sad because it was good. The Cheetah CG still looked as bad as the trailer. 80s nostalgia. Pedro Pascal was good and they did try to give his villain a backstory and motivation (unlike Bird's of Prey). Cheetah didn't have any backstory and was a villain stereotype. Gal Gadot is an amazing Wonder Woman. There was a lot of the movie without her in her costume or action. What were the repercussions for the villain and the wishes? The Steve thing was so weird.

Feel good slice of life
27 November 2020
Sakura Quest is a feel good slice of life comedy. Yoshino is a new college graduate who moved from a small town to Tokyo to lead a normal big city life. After a case of mistaken identity and confusion, Yoshino ends up in a small town as their queen in an effort by the Board of Tourism to revive the small town. She goes on to make friends and fall in love with small town life and all it has to offer. Can the Queen and her group of ministers save revive the small town? Will the town be accepting of an outsider as their ceremonial Queen?

This is a very cute slice of life. The characters are adorable and lovable. I enjoyed all of the ideas they come up with to save the town as well as all of the culture along the way they try to bring back and incorporate into the town.

Amazingly Entertaining!
26 November 2020
The show was a 9/10. Then the newest 9 episodes came out on Netflix today and they were a 15/10. It's funny and endearing. You'll even cry. Some of the episodes get darker as you go as a warning. It's one of those things aren't always as they seem con artist shows but at its best.

High Quality Lifetime Movie
22 November 2020
Good acting and production value . Very predictable. Still enjoyed. If you enjoy Lifetime movies then watch it. Recommend "The Act" on Hulu. There are some similarities to the show. "The Act" is better but this is a quick movie the dramatic Lifetime genre.
