An error has ocurred. Please try again7th: Beyblade Metal Saga. Sonic X may have been the first anime I watched, but the Beyblade Metal Saga was my gateway show that got me into more anime. I actually think the Metal Saga is a much better show than the original one. The characters are slightly better, the visuals are better, the background music is good and it has a great story.
6th: Death Note has this awesome he knows that I knows scenario. It reminds me alot of breaking bad were the main character starts of good, but becomes obsessed with his new hobby that he turns evil. The animation is great and editing as well as the pacing.
5th: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. This remake of the original show is just such a interesting anime. I love the theme songs and end credits sings in this show. The characters are great and the show gets very dark, very quick. I will say this, DON'T WATCH THE DUB. It is painfully bad.
4tH AND 3RD: The Naruto Series: This show was the first anime I watched with subtitles on. It was a much better move as I came to realize that the Japanese acting is so much real and less cringe than the English db, which was like watching a cartoon. Naruto starts of as a loser kid and has to get stronger to be Hokage, the president of his village. It is so satisfying seeing this kid grow up and get stronger and prove every single person who doubted him wrong.
2nd: Erased: This show came out at a time when I nearly gave up on anime. After watching the terrible Hunter x Hunter, I thought all anime's were just pointless, predictable shows. How wrong was I when I binged Erased in a weekend. It was such a great concept. A 28 year old man travels back in time into his 11 year old body and has to solve a murder mystery. It was such a great concept executed so well.
1st: My number one favorite anime show of all time is Attack on Titan. This show is pure awesomeness. It was the first proper anime I watched after Beyblade. This show just shocked me so much, I started having nightmare about me getting shocked about the show. The show features Eren, a 15 year old boy who wants to get revenge on titans, after they destroy his home town. Now the show is about to air it's 3rd season, but I got so bored with waiting that I read the manga. OMG! I have never seen a series which changes drastically. I mean, I'm reading a completely different series. The animation and visuals in the anime is defiantly the best I have seen in any anime TV show. The angles, the lighting, the motion. my gosh, it's near perfection. I started watching this show in English dub and must say that it is the best dub I have heard in an anime. I heard the Japanese version and must say that the voices don't fit some of the characters, partially the main cast.I don't know, maybe would get used to it, but for now, it's dubbed. I 100% HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this show and the manga to you guys. Just make sure you are over 15 years old, as this show is not for the faint hearted.

Joker: Folie à Deux (2024)
An underwhelming sequel.
So, before watching this movie, I rewatched Joker (2019) and I loved it. It is one of my favuote DC movies ever. Possibly my 3rd fav. But it felt like a standalone to me. So I didn't seem to care too much about potential sequals. But when I first saw the trailer scene of Joker dancing with Lady Gaga, I thought it looked awesome. Even though it was confirmed to be a muwsical, I was pretty open minded. The first 40 mins of this film is actually pretty good, and I was confuseed as to why people hated the film. Some musical scenes were decent. But as we got into the 2nd and 3rd act, I started to understand the HATE. It is so slow, messy and boring. The biggest joe of the film (no oun intended) is that it is so boring. HOW DO YOU MAKE A BORING FILM WITH TWO OF THE MOST INTERESTING CHARACTERS IN ALL OF DC? The middle act went on and on and I was BORED. The final act did capture my attention, but it all felt meaningless. While I do understand what Todd Phillips was trying to do with the ending, it falls flat on it's face when the movie seems so unfocused. I didn't care for the ending as I didn't even enjoy the majority of the movie. Very underwhelming and a bit dissapointing. I don't recommend wasting your time watching this. But if you are curious, then please, go check it out. Overall, I will rate it 5/10. It is a "MEH" Movie.
The Acolyte: Choice (2024)
Nice Fights, but a bland mess.
OK! Let me talk the positives. The Action scenes and some of the CGI building shots looiked really nice. The lightsaber fights were quite impressive, although the slow mo shot was cringy. Backgron music is ok.
OK. Let me talk about the negatives. I don't know if its the writiing or the acting, but the way the cast deliver their lines aways fall flat. I think the leader witch lady wassok in some scenes, but BLOODY HELL, itwas so blan. The jedi seem so whishy washy nthis episoe. Thy seem to be there for the girls and then they are not. I am really struggling to understand what is happening in certain scene. I honestly feel a bit bad for the actors trying teir damm best to deliver so of thes very questionale. If not for the cool lightsaer scenes, I would have srpped this show a long tome ago. But verall, i's bland and boring.
The Acolyte: Destiny (2024)
Badly written
This showings just poorly written. The acting is very meh and the dialogue is not good. While the idea of the episode is good the execution is not good at all. This is the first time since obi wan where I agree with the fans hating the show for the writing. It is also painfully boring as well. Millions of dollars for this? Yikes mate. I hope people won't give the child actors any grief. They did what they were told to do. But wow. My emotional investment in star wars is gone. I actually find peoples opinions more interesting than watching the show. To anyone who likes this show, good. I am happy for you. Heck, I'm jealous that you find enjoyment in this. Overall, this is meh.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2023)
A pretty damm good film.
I have never read the books before and it has been many years since I watched the movies. But I really enjoyed this film. Racheal Zeglar is awesome. I really enjoyed her performance. As well as the dude who played young snow. The movie feels like two movies but for some reason, it didn't feel bloated. It actually flowed really nicely. The third act was cery unexpected and took a very different tone in storytelling. I found it a little shocking if I am being honest. But I liked it alot. The first act 8s exactly what you think the film is going to be and the 2nd and 3rd act are pretty interesring with how different it is. But I enjoyed it. The one problem I had was that I would have liked more expansion into the plot points in thr third act. I could tell the screenwriters cut alot of that middle act out, even though I didn't reas the books. ButnI will give the film 8/10. Very good film. Must watch.😁
The Marvels (2023)
A very average Marvel Movie.
The Marvels is a pretty OK movie. I do like how they made Captain Marvel and Monica more likable in this film. The drama between certain characters is a little cliche, but I do appreciate they don't slow down the plot with that. Ms Marvel is adorable. She reminded me of Peter Parker with Tony Stark. I love how youndon't need to really watch ms marvel tv show to understand the character. Some of the visuals towards the end of the film is pretty impressive. I love how short it is. However, the movie was messy, messy, messy with the tone and pacing. The villian does have an interesting reason in being the villian, but it isn't executed well. I don't love it or hate. It's just ok.
Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Chapters: Special 1 (2023)
What an amazing episode.
My gosh. This episode was beautifully adapted from the manga. The 1 hour special managed to adapt 3 and a half chapters, which is impressive. I really enjoyed the story telling and the writing. We finally drove deep into the mindset and thoughts of certain characters and why they are doing what they are doing. I think this is the BEST looking episode by Studio MAPPA.
The action sequences and art looked amazing. This is the beginning of the end and when Part 2 of the Final Chapters airs, we will finally see the end of this great story that is Attack on Titan.
The music and ost really added an extra layer of greatness. It had such an haunting vibe and kept me on my toes.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power: Adrift (2022)
A really amazing second episode.
While I did enjoy the first episode, I did find some moments to be rather slow. But this episode was very entertaining. So many interesting characters with interesting story lines. I like the hole mystery theme of this episode, with some characters trying to figure out what the heck is going on around them. There were some really funny moments that made me laugh. And moments that made me gasp, which I was not expecting.
I think the acting was a lot better in this episode and I really connected with some of the new characters, especially the dwalfs. Looks like this episode is setting us up for a really mysterious season of television, which I am very excited for.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power: A Shadow of the Past (2022)
A pretty good start.
I gotta be honest, this first episode was alot better than I expected going into it. The way the internet reacted to the trailer made me think it was going to suck. But I actually enjoyed it a bit. There were some slow parts, but overall, really entertaining. The VFX and cinematography was really amazing. Even the acting was good. I felt like old school Peter Jackson lord of the rings. I do think I enjoyed episode 2 alot more. But a great episode overall. I do recommend this show.
I haven't seen other peoples reaction yet to this first episode. But whatever they think, I had a good time watching it.
House of the Dragon (2022)
A Phenomenal first episode.
WOW! What an amazing start to this Game of Thrones prequel series. I am so invested in all the characters and storylines and am really excited on where it goes. The music, VFX and acting were all 10/10. Such an amazing episode. :)
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part VI (2022)
This episode had some really INTENSE SCENES
While I do admit that this episode felt a little dull and repetitive at times, it possibly had some of the GREATEST scenes in all of Star Wars, especially this one scene which in my opinion is an ALL TIME AMAZING scene. Overall, I feel like this entire series should a been a 2 Hours 40 mins film. I think it would have felt WAYY more impact full that way. And reduced the filler.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Retrospective (2022)
The Action is INSANE.
OMG! I a speechless. The animations sequences were some of the BEST in ALL OF Attack on Titan. Loved the characterization and heartfelt moments. Such an epic episode.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Pride (2022)
One of my favorite episodes so far...
I remember not liking this chapter in the manga. But MAPPA's adaptation was pretty amazing. The colours and animation look alot better than some moments in the Part 1. Loved the ost and voice acting. This episode has got me hyped for the next upcoming episodes.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Thaw (2022)
A nostalgic treat.
Damm son. This episode felt like a blast from the past. The 2D ODM gear scenes looked pretty great and it was the first AOT final Season episode to have all the titans be 2D, which looked amazing. Loved the characterization in this episode. Visuals and ost were great as always.
Shingeki no Kyojin: From You, 2000 Years Ago (2022)
An EXPLOSIVE episode.
OMG! As a manga reader, this episode exceeded my expectations. The gritty art, some insane animation sequences and the titan animation and designs are the best of the Final Season so far. The flashback scenes were so intense and emotional to watch. MAPPA went above and beyond with the visuals and the ost. Thank you MAPPA :)
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Never Give Up (2022)
WOW! MIND-BLOWING ANIMATION
I don't really do reviews on Demon Slayer, but this episode left me speechless. The episode had some of the GREATEST animation sequences I have seen in any anime. The style and colors just popped out from the screen. I mean WOW.
I have never seen an anime look like this. Even the dramatic moments and payoff was great. But damm son. That cliffhanger is making me eager to see what happens next. Thank you Ufotable for putting so much hard work and dedication to this amazing episode.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Two Brothers (2022)
A masterpiece...
Words cannot describe how epic this episode was. So may plot twists to make any sane man go nuts. Alot of hippy trippy sequences and the BEST odm animation since season 3 Part 2. The titans looked amazing and were fluid at times. Thank you Mappa and Isayama. And thank you Wit Studio for started this Attack on Titan anime phenomenon.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Sneak Attack (2022)
The plot thickens...
Loved the characterization of this episode. Falco and Nile had great scenes. Gabi's character has truly come around. Alot of nice 2D shots, especially of Yelena. Some of the odm gear animation was much improved from last week's episode.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Judgment (2022)
The beginning of the end is here...
What a fantastic start to the second part of the final season. Loved the improved cgi, action sequences and art. Alot of very impressive scenery. As a manga reader, I can safely say that this might be the greatest season of Attack on Titan.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Above and Below (2021)
A great Mid-Season finale. Thank you Mappa.
Thank you so much Mappa for giving us this really epic season. I really had a blast watching this as a manga reader. There was alot of things I liked than disliked. I really enjoyed the new visual look of this season compared to the previous one's. It has a more grounded, realistic look, which suits the tone of these final 2 arcs. Loved the ost, cgi titian fights and voice acting. Gabi, Reiner, Zeke and Eren's character development and scenes were some of the best in the entire show. Pieck Finger is best girl.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
MUCH BETTER!
I couldn't stand the 2017 film. It was so badly paced, with pretty meh cgi. But this film was a much better improvement. Better vfx, cgi, pacing and character development.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Guides (2021)
Great writing and pacing, but...
As a manga reader, I absolutely loved the writing in the manga. I love how Mappa have adapted this so far. But I can't deny that the animation and character design look a little, off. I usually praise the episodes. But after rewatching all of season 1-3 in the past week has made me realize that it may not be as good as those seasons. I have givin every episode of this season between 8-10/10 for the animation, ost and voice acting, but I must admit that the one thing from this episode that was kind of jarring was the character designs. Pixis head kept morphing every now and again and some designs looked a bit strange. Armin, Hitch and most of the survey corps looked great but it didn't look as crisp as the previous episodes. But I still have high, high hopes for Mappa. #ThankyouMappa.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Deceiver (2021)
Great art, voice acting and amazing writing.
This episode blew me away with the lighting and cinematography. Gabi and Kaya's interactions was so intense and well written. Mikasa and Louise's interaction was intense as well. With Mikasha flash-backing to when Eren killed those two men. Whenever Mikasa would think back to that time before, it was a time when she was saved and saw hope. But now, after Eren's attack on Liberio, she is starting to see Eren as a psychopath, which she does not like. The pacing was excellent as well.
Shingeki no Kyojin: A Sound Argument (2021)
This was such a fun, yet dramatic episode.
Oh wow. Mappa adapted these chapter's so damm well. The art style looed amazing in both the flashbacks and present days. I really liked the lighting and shading. The voice acting was also amazing and ost. It was also the funniest episode that I have seen in a while. The plot is starting to thicken.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Brave Volunteers (2021)
A calm, yet well paced episode, diving deep in world building and character development.
This episode was well paced and surprising, it only adapted one chapter. This is the second episode to do this. But it was fine as it didn't feel rushed. I really enjoyed the ost and character animation. The lighting was really great. Mappa did a great job with their re-creation of what the characters looked like in the past. Although Hange, Levi and Pixis's designs were a little different, they were stll well drawn, animated and loved the lighting. Really loving the flow of Mappa's style and pacing. Looking forward to the future episodes.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Assassin's Bullet (2021)
Possibly the BEST EPISODE So far.
WOW! I was not expecting this episode to look this good. I mean WOW. The art was so beautiful to watch. Seeing those flashback scenes in the mappa style look almost identical to season 1 wit studio. WOW. I am so impressed. I think I am starting to prefer the Mappa style of characters a little more now. The drawings were so beautiful. the lightning was amazing. The voice acting and pacing was all amazing. It was so well adapted. I LOVE IT.
