Kiseijuu (2014)
Enjoyable, not bad at all
I loved Hitoshi Iwaaki's manga and I loved the anime just as much, so after hearing about a Parasyte live action, I got curious and decided to see if it would turn out bad or good. I wasn't disappointed, the story did progress a bit fast for my tastes but not to fast to make me dislike it. The creators really didn't hold back on gore in this movie, everything was clear and visible, from insides to cut open heads.
The CGI wasn't bad either. the way the heads morphed into the blades and eyes looked pretty realistic. I was happy that quite a few original characters were kept in this movie, but I wished it did follow the manga a little more, but it did keep some important points. Overall, it wasn't a bad adaptation, they cut the movie off at a really good part that makes you want a sequel in which I'll be looking forward to.

Really great vampire story!
I had watched the anime before I played this game and I enjoyed the anime, but I then wanted to check out and see what the game was like, and wow! It was a really good game. This is an otome game, rather then a game, it is a visual novel but you choose on what to say. This game is currently only Japanese.
The story follows Yui Komori (name is changeable) who is you gentle, average 2nd year high school girl, her father who is a priest had gotten work overseas in Europe and Yui is left in Japan to live at the Sakamaki household. When she arrives, she first meets Ayato, who is the 5th son of the Sakamaki brothers as well as the last born triplet, as the prologue continues she starts to meet all the other brothers in the household, after being told that they are vampires, she doesn't believe them, after nearly being bitten she screams out that she will choose the one to suck her blood. At the end of the prologue, she is forced to choose one of the brothers.
This game goes down six routes where you choose one of the six brothers (Ayato, Kanato, Laito, Shu, Reiji and Subaru) to follow, after choosing one you play the game as if it is through your eyes, you get to choose your character's fate as you play the routes and you learn about their pasts and lives as you go down their route. The stories are made up of five stages: Dark, Maniac, Ecstasy, Endings 1, 2, 3 and Heaven.
My thoughts on this game. I loved it, ever since Twilight came out, people never thought of vampires seriously anymore, but after you play this game Twilight will just be a waste of your time. This game is for ages 15+ and when you play you can see why. There are a lot of terrible things that happen to both the protagonist and the brothers, the stories can be either interesting and not to extreme, some can be intense(like Ayato's Dark 7)and some can be down right disturbing.
This game can really be disturbing for some people, I nearly threw my PSVita across the room because of some things that happen, even though there is no moving in the game, the descriptions can be very detailed for what happens. Some of the characters are highly sadistic and to terrible things to Yui.
There are many highlights in this game, the acting was great and each character had well picked voices, there were times when when things seemed normal, it would change in an instant and the big part of this game was the dummy mic, as the character got her blood sucked, the voice of either brothers would move to one side of the headphone to make it sound like they were speaking in your ear, and when they did the sucking noises, it made it sound so realistic as if they were sucking your blood.
Like the anime, the art work in this game is amazing, it made this game unique to other otome games that I know of, each of the backgrounds were beautifully painted and drawn, as well as the characters. Even though this game is set in modern times, the vampires in this are sadistic and behave the way vampires should, the vampires in this are unique to other vampires, these guys can go out in daylight, crosses and garlic don't affect them but silver can kill them when stabbed to the heart(like all vampires).
For those who liked the anime, you defiantly need to play the game, it will help you understand the anime better and know more about the characters and why they turned out to be the way they are, and for those who don't know anything about the anime or this game, if you like vampires, interesting story lines and complete sadism, then you will like this game.

Not as good as the game, but not bad
Now a lot of people hate this anime cause they either say its a rape anime or the story is terrible or they just don't understand it all together. Yes the story is confusing unless you have played the game or read the game story line, it is best you do either of those before you watch this anime or for all I care, you can watch this first and read the story line later.
Anyway, the story is about Yui Komori, who is your gentle, average 2nd year high school girl, who was raised by her father who happens to be a priest. Her father is sent overseas for work and Yui is left in Japan and is sent to live at the Sakamaki household, which is made up of six brothers, when she arrives, the brothers are not all what she expected, it turns out that they are all vampires.
My thoughts on this show. The art work was gorgeous, I loved every detail in this anime, from character design to background work, it was stunning and I loved it. The characters were great, The acting was great and matched each character well. There are some well known actors in this like Yuki Kaji (Eren Jeager from 'Attack on Titan') and Daisuke Hirakawa (Rei Ryūgazaki from 'Free!').
The story was OK, like I mentioned earlier, read the game story line or play the game for yourself (game is all in Japanese). The thing that disappointed me, was that each episode only went for 15 minutes each and only had 12 episodes and the ending wasn't the best BUT it wasn't the worst. However even with only 12 15 minute long episodes, some scenes were disturbing enough to nearly make me throw my laptop across the room, the story for the game did the same thing.
The English dub for this anime was not bad, it was one that I liked, I did like Maggie's voice for Yui but during biting scenes, I think she made to much pained noises. Christopher Patton did a great job as Ayato, his voice matched the character well. Blake Shepard's voice suited Laito very well, he handled the pervy voice really well. While Corey Hertzog's voice is good, it didn't really suit Kanato's voice, some points he did really well while others, he didn't stand out. Ty Mahany had a great voice match for Shu, his voice was deep and sounded lazy. David Wald's voice really matched Reiji's character, the deep polite voice was great. Josh Grelle's voice was perfect for Subaru, he sounded young as well as tough, and that's the kind of character Subaru is.
Anyway, overall I enjoyed it, the anime was made so that people would want to play the game, so that's why it's not the story everyone was hoping for, but like I said earlier, it's best to play the game first. This anime is not for everyone but if you like harem animes, vampires a little romance, disturbing scenes and a fair amount of gore, you may enjoy this one.

A fine piece of work
Being a fan of Matsuri Hino's manga of vampire knight, I knew I had to check this anime out. even though the story was changed a lot, I still enjoyed the series, I loved the characters especially Zero, and the art and animation was amazing, it gave out that Gothic sort of feeling. there were times when I laughed and times when I was on the edge of my seat an I especially loved how the chibi was added to this as well and the romance in the anime was not bad either.
Don't listen to people who say it's like the anime version of Twilight because it's nowhere near as bad as that. this anime has more action in it than Twilight and all the characters have emotion unlike Kristin Stewart.
