Black Adam (2022)

DC/Warner Bros can't figure it out.

This movie could have been fantastic. Five minutes of back story on Black Adam, no back story on anyone else, yet here they come to save the day... by saving the bad guys? Why was Christian Bale's Batman so good? Because they built him up, gave him a rich background story (even though we all know Batman's story), and great villains... they didn't just throw him into the the middle of Gotham and The Justice League. DC just can't figure out the right formula. They want their "Marvel" superhero success "now"! Marvel spent years building up great story lines and success. DC wants the same but refuse to do any hero proper justice. They speed through everything without any rhyme or reason... then wonder why most their films are duds. I have an idea let's just keep rebooting until we find something that works. Almost ten years since Man Of Steel, which was on the right track, and they could've built an empire like Marvel, but they couldn't see the forest for the trees. Well done DC/Warner Bros you ruined another one!

The Callisto Protocol (2022 Video Game)

Didn't miss the mark, but not fully on target.

I rated this game a solid 7. I was really hoping for more space and less planet, but the whole prison planet thing is cool. The visuals are fantastic, story is good but feels rushed and predictable "oh no... not the same thing happening again and again, who'da thunk it", and gameplay is a bit chunky "character movement is slow and robotic " I can't stand the movement when crawling through vents, or squeezing through tight spaces- they take way too long- I went to the bathroom and popped a corn dog in the microwave waiting for my character to exit a tight squeeze area". Combat needs a lot of help "it's more methodical than anything", and running isn't really running... it's more like a fast paced Sunday stroll in the park with grandma taking a 5 minute rest at every park bench". It's also not as jump scary as Dead Space; I was really hoping for that. I think most of the horror aspect comes from when you need to run or get out of the way of something and it feels like you're walking in place waiting for grandma to figure out where she put her purse. Multiple times I was yelling at my character because he's too slow. I guess you just have to stay in super close quarters in combat. I'm sure the developers designed it that way though.

Overall a good game; Something was definitely missing though. More story, more content, more locations, maybe just clean up some of the game play... I don't know to be honest.

I will play the sequel if they make one.

Invasion (2021–2024)

Can't wait for more episodes.

I love how they've taken a slower, less in your face approach to an alien invasion. Only makes the suspense better. They're actually telling multiple stories surrounding the invasion. Love it!

Binged watched the whole season

What a great show. I kept seeing this show on my prime feed, and wasn't sure if I should watch it. Finally pulled the trigger and was pleasantly surprised. I hope they're able to make a 2nd (maybe more) season.

All I can say is if you're into Sci-Fi... if you crave Sci-Fi shows and movies... you'll like this one. Definitely not a B-movie, and definitely not the best, but a damn good one at that.
