Alice in Borderland (2020– )
9/10
Expected nothing but had a really great time!
12 January 2023
I really enjoy movies and TV series that make me think about life from different perspectives and this show definitely made it!

You know what I mean?

You smile, you get excited, you hate, you love, you cry happy, you cry sad... you get bored a few times.

All episodes are great? No... but after 2 seasons and a great ending, I am comfortable with a 9/10.

I had a hard time during the episodes to decide if it was a bad or great story, but in my opinion, it delivers!

The drama sometimes gets too much for my taste, so I am really happy it ended in 2 seasons and not 10 seasons.

Some characters are awesome to say the least. Some of them you hate, some you love, some you have a love/hate mix as history goes.

Thank you Netflix and everyone involved in this one!

Black Summer (2019–2021)
9/10
Nice star for the immersive scenes!

Immersive scenes... thats from where the nice stars comes from.

Ok, ok... I get the ~7 stars rates... You don't have much background about the chracters, sometimes de main story seems like goes forwards and backwards in a ackward way, I am not a fan of the "black screen" splittinjg the episodes but I must say this: I am just loving the mix, the immersvese scenes and the multiple pesrpectives narrative.

Why 9 starts?

The very best immerse scenes I can remember in a serie in a long time and perspectives I never thought like when they show how the events happened from the perspective of the "zombie".

Also I was missing the crazy storylines like "Lost" where you don't have much details and keep thinking why!

That said, I highlly recommend it... maybe I had little expectations and was happily surprised.

However I must say I feel like I will get dissappointed with the story like many other "appocalipse zombie" like series before.

Anyway, just had a really great time watching it so far, specially the last episode in season 2!

Will touch you in many ways

What a great surprise!

So many nice things about this documentary. First, it was built in a way you dive together with the narrator not only into the sea, but in his life, in the way he is thinking and how he is interpreting everything he is discoverying.

From the "homemade look" to the steps you go with him together, day by day, discovering the life all around in such a fascinarting way.

It definetely creates a strong connection between you, watching, the narrator, discovering, and the nature, so beatiful and perfect...

And, to all the team envolved in this, just would like to say Thanks! You guys made a rich piece of art and a wolrd full of empty stuff.

A Fighting Man (I) (2014)
8/10
Pretty Good
21 June 2014
The movie is all about human life and their stories. I wasn't really expecting what I watched but I really liked it.

Unlike an usual movie, it starts with the action. So, you are not really sure what the characters are... I mean, you don't really like or dislike anyone yet even though the stories is already happening. So they keep crossing characters life over and over again in a pretty interesting way.

What I really like about fighters movies is that we are all fighters in our life... we fight for our friends, our family, ourself. We need to overcome our challenges, be ready to "take a punch" from life and don't never give up. In the end, life is more about how much you can take and keep going than how hard you can punch. It is just and simple human stories... human life.

I understand why not everyone will love this movie, but I had a really good time watching it!
