Morbius (2022)

Disappointing Entry
17 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'm tired of seeing the PG-13 versions of characters that are meant to be violent, graphic, and dangerous.

Morbius the Living Vampire played more like a drama than an action/horror film imo.

It annoys me that they can't get these right. Venom was a disappointment for me too.

The final climax of this film, is so generic that I kind of just felt like they phoned it in.

Damn Never Back Down Franchise what the hell?
9 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is like so bad its impressive they got Never Back Down to franchise this film.

The actresses literally can't fight, in a movie about fighting.

They traffic this chick to be a "fighter" because they are interested to see her fight because she's so beautiful? Huh?

Then she can't fight, gets her ass handed to her, and every fight scene in this film is so poorly shot and acted I can't believe they made this.

I feel bad for some of the actors in this film because the acting itself isn't awful on some parts, the brother fighter is decent, but honestly? Don't waste your time.

Lack of cohesion, or its own story
30 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I dunno, they didn't really explain things well in this film at all. I would have loved to have more with Trinity.

The movie honestly felt like several movies thrown together into one, and most of the movie was a giant "LOOK HOW AWESOME THE MATRIX WAS!" shoved down your throat repeatedly. "IT WAS SO GROUNDBREAKING" "BULLET-TIME!" ( wasn't the thing that created "bullet time" but whatever, there were games with that before this movie). They just did it in it in a movie with actors for the first time with CGI.

They didn't explain a LOT of the plot, and it would have greatly improved my enjoyment of it.

Why revive them? The explanation honestly, doesn't make sense.

Exceptional
9 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I'm sorry but, as a fan of the original series, I think they did an exceptional job turning this into something that could go multiple seasons.

I do wish Radical Ed had played more of a role in this season as they are one of my favorite characters on the show.

I think John Cho nailed Spike. Nailed it. The cast in general was really great.

I like the action fight sequence style, the clean crisp action movements made it feel more like an adaptation of an anime as opposed to actual real life fighting, if that makes sense.

Really really great, looking forward to more.

Bruce Willis, What the...?
19 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I am now putting in a rule in my household that any Bruce Willis movie after 2018 is just a no-go.

If you want to watch Bruce Willis walking through a forest like he doesn't have a care in the world for 20 minutes while tripping on some stuff he ate and hearing dumpy weird music play, this is the movie for you!

If shooting your enemies to death or fighting is boring, don't worry, bruce will be "talking" his enemies to death, for most of the film.

His character his terrible, the writing is terrible, the gimmick is just incredibly played out. I mean the guys name was so generic and his nickname was the "mutilator", for a guy in his 50s....

Even the ending was soooo bad, I mean what was this movie? Its like the hunters didn't even bother hunting Bruce Willis, the second the "hunt" started, they just started killing each other, for the most trivial reasons....

If I could give it zero stars I would. Also, Bruce Willis has clearly either lost his mind, or his credit in big budget hollywood is in the crapper.

There is no way you can miss on every single movie for like 3 years straight.

A poorly scripted action film
18 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
There were a lot of issues with this film.

1. Script was bad, I swear if heard "8 and 3/4's" one more time I was gonna throw my television.

2. Whoever directed or designed the action sequences, the person in charge of deciding how these fight scenes should go, should be fired. No seriously, its THAT bad.

They make characters perform action sequences that just don't make sense, they don't explain certain aspects of the story, like at all.

For a movie with the word Gun in it, I would've liked WAY more gunfights and WAY less hand to hand...

I dunno, it's like a weird mix of action movie cliches wrapped in a poorly written story.

I'm sad about it too because in terms of acting the actresses did a damn good job. They were believable in the way they handled themselves, but the script was just soooo bad.

Whatever is going on in hollywood they really need better screenwriters.

As a Fan of Anime, this is disappointing
7 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
So I watch a LOT of anime, let me tell you, this is absolutely terrible.

I don't know what is going on with this decision to do all the "action" by having a narrator go over some weird part of the past of the champion, before they do 1 attack. Don't worry, we have an entire episode before the enemy attacks back, they have to do their backstory, then the "overarching" story, which makes ABSOLUTELY no sense.

I seriously feel like they just took an amalgamation of different Anime ideas, threw them together, gave the characters famous names to make them seem cooler than they are, and are branding it as a tournament fighter.

Its not a tournament fighter anime, that requires them to have action, in the anime. There is so little actual fighting in this series, that I got disgusting about 8 episodes in. I watched the whole thing because I hoped it got better, if anything, it got worse.

Terrible
21 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
One, I dont really understand the plot, at all. Like VERY little explanation at all, the whole premise is kind of, dumb?

Then there's the animation, dude what, the hell bro.

First off, like there's almost no action in the fights, its consisted of two big guys, swinging weapon block, swing weapon block, but each attack takes like 10-15 minutes with a back story about his horse, legs, mother, wife, what they ate, etc....

It gets super super annoying. If this is the style and pacing of this anime, count me out entirely.

I mean what the hell was that "Thor"? His hammer is alive? He wears gloves? Thor is some freaky lookin redhead?

A lot of the animation is really, just kind of bad.

This crap is the reason anime gets a bad name.

Zack Snyder What the hell man?
24 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
So, I really wanted to love this film. It starts out with Richard Cheese's Viva Las Vegas in this epic slow motion entrance after a zombie escapes a military convoy and they start tearing up Vegas.

And thats about the last time I really liked this movie. After this, it turns into this giant jumbled mess of storylines/cliches/ and a lack of any coherent storytelling.

They needed to pick a subplot, either they are stealing from a vault, or they are rescuing his daughters friend. I'm of the opinion the "friend" should've been left dead.

There is a lack of cohesive storytelling, a serious lack of it, and its tremendously disappointing because I thought the acting and special effects were incredible. At 2.5 hours though, they 100% could have cut one or two subplots, cleaned up the ending, and really made an incredibly good zombie film featuring Las Vegas.

I'm of the opinion that this movie was basically 4 movies blended together into one. And because of this, none of them succeeded.

I mean, I love technology
24 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I love tech stories. I love thrillers and the idea of a super smart AI doing crazy things but this? This has got to be the dumbest AI alive. And this constant Paul going crazy stuff completely screws with your head throughout the show which I started loving, then halfway through starting hated when it got real confusing. There are entire plotlines that may be false halfway through, then you get to the "random" killings and stuff. I mean if the AI was this intelligent, it should've already been packaged and out the door, any smart AI would want to immediately replicate itself into as small a package as possible. The idea that your going to stop a superintelligent AI that has been connected to one of the most secure networks in the world for days, after being free for months on the internet, I just.... So much of this doesn't make sense to me, I really tried to like it but it feels like a non-technical person wrote this script and didn't really run by someone who could actually describe how an AI would act initially. This? Ain't it. The acting is decent and there are some good storylines that i enjoyed, but the story in its entirety just doesn't feel like a solid ending, or even a decent one. "Let's just blow it up." seems really, really, dumb for an ending.

Dude the first ten minutes tell you all you need to know
22 November 2020
I don't know about you, but when I watch a movie, I expect a semblance of realism. This movie was bad. I don't mean like " oh the acting was terrible". No I mean the script of this movie should have never been greenlighted. I can't begin to tell you the amount of just inept weird, stupid things that happened at the start of this movie. I can give 3 distinct things that I would expect anyone who has watched an action film to at least understand. At bare minimum. 1. A police SWAT team, storming a building, are going to wear body armor. 2. A drug kingpin doing a deal for 5 billion dollars, is probably not doing it in an abandoned warehouse on a couple of barrels smoking angel dust with literally ZERO people watching the perimeter during said meeting. 3. No SWAT Team sniper is going to be charging into a room and trying to shoot a sniper rifle in an enclosed room. Like, at bare minimum, these are basic strategy, basic screenwriting types of things. They chose these things either because budget was low, or they literally just didn't think about them. If its low budget, that's a poor excuse. If they didn't think about it, then stop making action films. I mean come on guys. Even fake body armor would've looked better than them wearing the faux vest and t-shirt with SWAT emboldened on the back.

Death House is a Rip Off
7 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Seriously. This is awful. Just absolutely terrible. The cinematography is bad. The acting is bad. The actors are probably confused as to the direction of the film, they had to be. This is only like 10 minutes in. IT GETS WORSE. Please, safe yourself. Do not watch this.

this was the best rendition of the punisher i've ever seen. The depth of story is not lost with the amount of action. Easily my favorite netflix show of all time. Amazing. The storyline with Micro is amazing and the amount of storytelling between him and the Punisher is balanced just right to create a masterpiece of cinematic glory. I cannot wait until season 2.

Will definitely disappoint
16 December 2015
Warning: Spoilers
So I read a bunch of the reviews, expecting to see something interesting, new, vibrant and great. What I got was an terrible pile of crap. The character development is absolutely terrible, the plot is pretty much ridiculous, and most of the "plot" is pretty one dimensional and boring. I found myself wanting to play on my phone more than watch the movie.

Herman, a struggling artist, living at home with his mother. Somehow he remembers being a baby and seeing a mobile, so he becomes obsessed with making mobiles, out of shitty things. In an hour and 19 minutes, there are roughly 2 truly "horror" movie-esque things in this, and they are pretty dumb. The ending was basically a waste of time, and after watching this movie, the only thing I would ask for is my time back. This definitely had potential, and could have been much creepier and darker, but in the end, just came out pompous and boring.
