A World Of Pure Imagination!
10 December 2023
What is wrong with people nowadays, why all the bad reviews?!

This movie is fantastic!

The music is excellently crafted and perfectly performed by all.

The humour is brilliant, I have never been in a cinema where everyone has laughed out loud, not just children but fully grown adults as well, laughing at a "children's film", as I keep seeing in a lot of the reviews on here saying.

In my opinion there is no such thing as a children's film but instead films that are appropriate for children to watch but ultimately are for everyone to enjoy.

It is my belief that "grownups" need to calm down and realise that not every film needs to be a gritty drama, blockbuster saga or a dirty comedy to be considered a great movie for adults to enjoy, let your guard down and just enjoy films like you used to before we all became adults with a singular cynical view of the world why can't we just be happy with lighthearted musical movies, why must we bash them just because its seems to be the way to keep within the in crowd.

This movie had me crying with pure joy, with moments of sadness, and with the sheer lyrical talent coupled with the musical brilliance of this movie musical that we haven't seen the likes of in decades!

Please ignore the negative reviews and let yourself enjoy this brilliant film uninhabited by what types of films you "should" enjoy.

Mamma Mia itsa brilliant movie
5 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
All I can say is if you are a Mario and Nintendo fan you will love every second of this move and even if your not it's and amazing way to introduce yourself into the Mario world.

The attention to detail is fantastic and the music is expertly composed with so many nods to all the Mario games and accompanying game franchises within Nintendo's world.

I will return to the cinema multiple times to see this film as many times as possible.

Thank you illumination for creating the movie I hoped for, you have made a long-standing Nintendo fan extremely happy and can't wait to see where the Mario Bros will go next.

Why are people so disconnected from their inner child these days
20 November 2022
What is up with people these days, they can't seem to realise that these movies are not meant for the fully grown adults who feel they have to find problems and inaccuracies in everything they come across.

In my family luckily, we are all big kids and can "let it go!" and enjoy these films to the fullest, laughing and crying and feeling everything without worrying what others might think or say.

This sequel has been brilliantly put together with the insane musical talents of Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz.

The music is rich and very reminiscent of the musicals of old, with very talented singers and dancers.

All of the acting is brilliant and the story is perfectly portrayed by everyone involved.

It has everything required for the 100 years of Disney celebrations, full of magic and heart.

Please don't listen to all the haters, realise that you are allowed to enjoy Disney films without having to overanalyse everything.

Just because you are older in years does mean that you have to grow up and lose magic and imagination.

Toy Story 4 (2019)

This isn't flying this is falling from grace!
13 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
What a way to just stomp over everything us 90's kids grew up with and were very passionate about as buzz and woody always did the right thing by everyone especially their kid be it Andy or now Bonnie.

The thing I find very hard to accept with this film is how some very big decisions and feelings are just pushed aside ignoring character traits all just to reach out to the new young generation.

For example at the end of Toy story 3 when Andy gives Bonnie all of his beloved toys including Buzz and Woody, Bonnie loves and respects the toys as much as Andy did this making the audience feel extremely sad but somewhat assured that Andy has picked a good child.

This does not seem to be the case as in this film Bonnie couldn't care less about Woody but plays with literally every other toy that Andy gave her, this is just completely unbelievable and shows the writers have completely lost their way.

This film has just created new pointless characters just to sell more merchandise to the new young generation but these characters are nowhere as near as charming or charismatic as when Jessie, Bullseye, Weezy and Stinky Pete where introduced.

One point that nearly made me walk out was when Woody willingly gave Dolly his voicebox and the film just glazed over this with no one reacting to what he has done not even Buzz, Jessie or Bo Peep witch brought no weight or shock or sadness as the film didn't seem think it was a big deal.

The end of the film makes no sense woody would never leave his kid even if he wasn't getting played with as much, that's his kid and woody is very loyal, he was abandoned for years in Andy's Toy box until Andy went off the Collage, Bonnie has just started kindergarten and woody for some reason can't wait forever and just decided not only to abandon Bonnie but everyone he has ever known and loved including Buzz, Jessie & Bulseye instead of trying to persuade Bo Peep to join him.

Over all I whole heartedly hated the film and hope they leave it be now I consider the film to be a trilogy and will only purchase the film to add to the collection but will not rush to watch this again as it is not the Toy Story I knew and loved growing up.

I hope Pixar now move on to new and original stories instead of ruining beloved childhood movies.

No need for shiny
9 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This would have been a Ten but I have just one part of this film that I really don't like.

But let's start with he positives this film is one of my favourites as it has everything you need from a Disney film funny and interesting characters raw emotion an amazing story and some brilliant songs that stay in you head for days.

We have watched this film so many times I've lost count.

But I'm sorry about this but I'm not a fan of the scene with Tamatoa and his song Shiny as it's very disconnected to all of the other songs within the film.

The scene could have been way better and more adventurous as they had gone to the realm of monsters which clearly could have been explored a lot more. If they had explored more of the realm of monsters they could have added so many more battles and obstacles for Moana and Maui to defeat and then the moment where Maui finally gets his fish hook back would have felt like more of an achievement as a posed to what actually happens with Tamatoa singing a quite frankly forgettable and out of place song, getting distracted by himself and due to unfounded vanity he poses a very little threat and Maui retrieves his hook with minimal to no effort.

Don't listen to all the negativity.
9 March 2019
Please do not listen to all these negative reviews if you are a true fan of Disney you will absolutely love this film.

For children it's everything you could ever wish for with lots of magic, intriguing characters and very memorable songs.

Where as for adults this film will make you feel like a child again watching a pure Disney classic for the first time.

I myself went to see this film twice once with my Mum and then again with my grandparents and mum and we all left the cinema feeling full of joy and pure happiness wanting to turn around and go back in again a watch it on a loop.

Please go and see this film if it is still showing in your area and please purchase it as it is a Disney film for the ages to come.
