Sorry but I couldn't even get half way into the first episode. It had a very poor start. I just didn't want to put the time into this series. Netflix is becoming a wasteland of uninteresting programs and senseless stories.

The Birthday Cake
(2021)
Horrible, don't bother to watch
15 March 2022
I tried to watch this movie. I lasted about ten minutes. Very poor introduction. The sound is horrible. Background music interferes with the dialog. The story line is strange but of course I didn't watch long enough to know what happened to the cake that seemed to be walked all around the city for a day.
The Forgotten Battle
(2020)
Terrible war movie
8 February 2022
I couldn't finish watching this movie. Too much of it is shot in the dark. The story is a bunch of pieces slapped together. Was there no colour in 1944? Why does the movie have to be so dark? Half of the time you can't see what is happening. A big disappointment, especially for a Canadian.
Too much background noise
29 January 2022
The show is ok. Reminds me of Homicide Hunter but not quite as good. The background noise makes the show hard to follow and it is rather annoying. Why do you need that music? It adds nothing to the program. Hopefully future shows will have this corrected.
Munich: The Edge of War

Finally something worth watching on Netflix
23 January 2022
Generally the movies these days have poor colour, poor sound and poor stories. This movie is refreshing, the colour is wonderful. You can actually see everything going on. I don't need a hearing aid to hear all the dialog. Everyone knows this story but it is still good. It is a lavish production. Jeremy Irons nails Chamberlain perfectly. Anyone interested in WW2 would enjoy this movie.
Crash

Wonderful movie and deserved the Best Picture award.
23 December 2021
I only just watched this movie for the first time. It is the best movie that I have watched in years. Unfortunately the movies of the last ten years, like the music these days, are terrible. Still though Crash could have done better with a lot less F word.
F2: Forensic Factor

Good show spoiled by background noise
11 November 2021
The program has interesting material however every show is spoiled by the background noise. I guess it is supposed to be music to intensify the suspense but it interferes with the dialog. The background noise is incessant. There have been many shows that I could not finish watching because of the background noise. Why do the producers think this is a good feature?
Live by Night
(2016)
It lives up to its title
10 September 2021
This movie lives up to its title. Lights back in the 20's and 30's must have been dull. What a dark movie! Why are movies done in the dark these days? Movies need to be bright. We need to see what is happening not guessing what is going on. Terrible production.

The story is ok
28 April 2021
The story is ok, the acting is ok too but I don't know why the movie had to be made in the dark. The darkness does not add to the suspense. I find dark movies are becoming a trend. Even movies that take place outside in the daytime appear dark. Is it just me? Can't the movie studios afford good lighting? Today's movies are not so great but not as bad as the music these days.
The Fourth Wise Man
(1985 TV Movie)
Great movie for everyone
20 December 2020
This is a wonderful movie. I am not in the least a religious person but this is a wonderful story about beliefs, dedication and love for humankind. You don't have to be a believer in Jesus as the son of God but you must accept that other people do believe.
Titanic
(1996)
Better than Cameron's version
21 November 2020
I found this version much better than Cameron's version. Since it is longer than Cameron's version there is more time to develop more characters. This TV version has great actors, with Peter Gallagher, Catherine Zeta Jones, George C. Scott, Tim Curry and Marilu Henner. Leonardo in Cameron's version was so bad. Certainly people compare Titanic movies but for sure Cameron's version is way over rated. I don't know why.
The Five
(2016)
Disappointing
31 October 2020
The other Coben shows have been pretty good but this one is not even close to good. The story is dull. The production company needs to buy some lighting equipment. Why are so many scenes done in the dark? I couldn't continue after the second episode. I can't waste my time.
The Queen's Gambit
(2020)
Good program for a chess player
28 October 2020
This is a nice story. The only problem I have with the production is how dark and dingy the filming is. It seems to be a trend these days along with the horrible music that we have to suffer with. Are movie sets trying to save money on lighting equipment these days? Even the outdoor scenes are dark and gloomy. Is that part of the theme? It doesn't work for me.
Come and Find Me
(2016)
Starts good but turns poor
13 August 2020
This movie starts off pretty good. Aaron Paul is a good actor that doesn't over act. Unfortunately the plot takes a convoluted turn and makes no sense. Do actors actually read the script to see if a movie makes any sense at the end?

Horrible movie
11 August 2020
This movie was horrible and here I was thinking that movie makers put in nudity to make movies popular. Not that much nudity here.
The trend these days is to shoot major portions of a movie in the dark. It adds nothing to the plot and only makes for confusion. Most movies seem to have something in it that just ruins the whole thing. This movie had many things that ruined it.
I had to suffer through this because my wife thought it was ok. I wonder if Bluebeard (1972) was better. The plot while being bizarre and creepy was interesting and of course Claran Hinds has that creep factor. He'd make a good Dracula.
