The Reunion (2022)
Thought provoking and interesting gem
I heard this movie won some independent awards which compelled me to watch. I was not disappointed. The acting, directing and music score were incredible and it felt like a high budget movie all the way through. Dave Rosenberg shone as both an actor and first time writer. The other cast namely Andrea Modica and Carla Ronzetti did an excellent job..I was drawn into the story which was not just about Ricky confronting a high school reunion but his own demons as well. A definate worth watch.
Emily in Paris (2020)
Cheesy and full of cliches
Maybe the Americans find this amusing but to us Europeans its just patronising with all the old cliches such as French men having mistresses and French women preferring smoking to eating. Lilly Collins has an American mother so her American accent is authentic and not the brilliance of a superb actor (like Kate Winslet) faking it , as some reviewers seem to think. Lilly Collins is a good clothes horse and pretty face but not much more and this role does her no favours.
The Singapore Grip (2020)
Yawnfest
Barely there and long drawn out story. Terrible wooden over acting by both Elizabeth Tan and Georgia Blizzard..So bad it was painful to watch,
I struggled on with it because the other lead actors were good, but unfortunately could not save a dead beat production. A real disappointment.
Blood Red Sky (2021)
Surprisingly very good
Decent thriller/horror with a unique storyline. Definately kept me hooked and the ending was not a let down. Karl Anton Koch is superb as Elias.
The Dawn Wall (2017)
More gripping than any movie
This blew my mind,,I cant stop thinking about it,,incredible story for non climbers and climbers alike. Beautiful story of two guys on the same mission and wont give up on each other. It was fascinating, gripping and surreal. Solid 10.
Wiedzmin 3: Dziki Gon (2015)
Never felt a game like this
Ive been gaming since i was 15 years olf. I grew up with the all time greats Doom, uncharted etc..Ive replayed these games recently ,yet never got back that full gaming experience..Here enters 'the witcher' omg this is a game to be reckoned with..I thought Detroit was good but this is in another league
I couldnt tear myself away for the game..most games I can,but this was something else..I fought to change myself but it was never good enough..I found myself in the middle of the night visiting the blacksmith and upgrading my armour, going on quests just because i knew they would benefit the witcher community .in short,i got obsessed..i found myself visiting blacksmiths and armourers to update my armour and in turn putting myself through mission after mission and i just couldnt turn away. This is an amazing game given whatever you put into it you get back...its carefully constructed that you the player has no choice...Levelling up is a great oporunity to do that and the game provides many opportunites for the player to upgrade armour and swords depending on level..i spent many hours at various armourers obsessed with any new swords and upgrades that could make my witcher journey easier. Everything you do and every descision you make will have a consequence.
The Vanished (2020)
Ignore the bad reviews
Original, creepy and excellent credible acting from Heche and Jane with an solid storyline and a twist in the ending I did not see coming.A 9 out of 10 from me
