Take Care of Maya (2023)
THIS NEEDS TO BLOW UP THE INTERNET
The level of corruption, lawlessness, evil and cruelty cannot be matched. To know that the state has this much power over you is the most terrifying takeaway from that documentary.
They're technically running like organized crime rings. People need to know that until we face this and confront it, thousands of lives will be destroyed and an industry of abuse will flourish.
The heartless people who caused this misery need to face justice, the victims deserve their closures.
It's heinous. It's scary. We should spread awareness and help the family to be heard, not silenced and dehumanized by a system that doesn't care.
Pepsi, Where's My Jet? (2022)
The most entertaining documentary I've ever seen
They tried to go with a completely different direction with the documentary than any similar projects, and for me? It worked! Stretched in some aspects but that became a signature of all netflix documentaries, so it stopped being an issue after a while. It also got increasingly repetitive towards the end but again, another signature of Netflix documentaries.
It shows the story from all directions and they focus so much on making it "fun" and as you know taking a legal battle and make it "fun" doesn't always work, but in this case, it really did.
10/10 to encourage more documentaries like this one.
Coming 2 America (2021)
I didn't even smile!
It was painful to sit through to say the least. Why bring back a comedy-classic just to ruin it?
This Is Us: Forty: Part Two (2020)
Disappointing writing choices.
Oh, so incorporating the COVID-19 to remove physical affection from one of the most affectionate shows on TV right now? What were you guys thinking? We are living it, depressed by it and need a break and hope from it!
Randall's struggle as a black man was never neglected from the very first episode of this series but it used to make us aware and touched without this agenda the writers chose to adopt kind of ruined the best character on the show. Holding grudges against his "white family" and abandoning his "white therapist" all of a sudden just for being white? is that all healthy to you?
I can't describe how am I disappointed with this direction you guys decided to take this show.
