Hello, Goodbye and Everything in Between (2022)
Nothing like the book
Jordan Fisher's acting is the only reason I gave this movie 5 stars. The movie did not capture any of the emotional depth that was created in the book. The should have said "loosely inspired by" instead of based on. Nothing was lining up. *Contains spoilers of the book* Claire had a mom and dad that were happily married to each other in the book (it was each of their 2nd marriages). Aiden had a heavy focus on going to UCLA for a Lacrosse scholarship that caused fights with his dad since he wanted him to go to Harvard. He actually lied about not getting in to Harvard to Claire in the book because he thought that she would no longer support his decision to go to UCLA. The relationship between Stella and Claire was strained, as well as physical altercations between Scotty and Aiden. And Scotty and Stella were romantically involved. The pact to end the relationship didn't exist, and Aiden was upfront from the beginning that he didn't want them to breakup. The list was Claire's idea. I don't know if the writers even read the book, but as you can see, there was barely any connection between the two.
Cinderella (2021)
Ignore the haters
It is so frustrating that so many people troll and spread negativity on the internet. They marketed this film as Cinderella focusing on her passion instead of just the love story, that means of course it's going to stray from the original movie. And as for the reviews saying the movie is too "woke", they are shining a light on all of the blatant issues that happened during that time period and in the original film. If you're triggered by feminism and people putting their dreams first, then that's when you need to take a look within. The music numbers are incredible and Camilla did a wonderful job acting for the first time!
