Astonishing tv series

I've seen this show being promoted for awhile now on Netflix and to be honest - I had zero desire to watch it.

Not even sure how I ended up watcing and it took me episode or two to get into and then boy oooooh boy. Was I hooked?! I've literellay wanted to bing watch it in one day/night but I took my time and watched over few days simply so I can enjoy it for longer time.

It's important to say that I have never heard or played the game League of Legends so I am not byassed in any shape or form.

To put it in simple words, watch it but dont be fooled - this is not kid friendly show and it scared me how heavy and real it is at times.

All i can say now is that I can wait for Season 2!!!

A Man Called Ove (2015)

A man called Otto is or is it?!

I've watched A man called Otto (2023 movie) and then the day after i've watched this one (the original) and I dare to say that this one is better! Why? Because in this movie all makes sense, including why the main character likes or dislikes certain things (wont go in depth as I dont want to spoil it for you) but I highly recommend this movie even if you've seen the remake from 2023.

The characters and actors are like one and I've felt that I was watching real life footage and not so much a movie on my laptop.

This is 10/10 movie - no questions asked! Bear in mind that i've watched the movie with EN subtitles and still loved it!

The Girl Next Door (2004)

I saw the movie when it first came out and I was a teenager myself at the time. I've loved it for many reasons - the music/soundtrack, the actors, the characters, story and so on.

In my humble opinion, a good movie is when one can see himself in one of the characters and I can 100% see myself as many of those characters in different situations and you know - I feel nostalgic for something that the characters went through - wtf?!

The movie is always available on one of the platforms (Stan, netflix, prime video etc) and it's well worth the watch. If anything, its a fun little couples movie that can be shared on Friday evening.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)

You'll love regardless if you are familiar with the game or not

I've played only the original Super Mario and that's about it so I wasn't really all that familiar with Donkey Kong, Mario Kart and even I can say that this movie is 10/10 - hands down!

The cinematography, action, music and the overall experience was amazing and we finally have a fair rival to Despicable me.

Genuinely, I don't think that (some) people cannot see past the whole Mario Character (he was great, don't get me wrong!) as this is so much more than just nostalgic one-off movie for the fan base.

I have no doubt in my mind that this is only the beginning the Mario franchise and there's many more to come!

Sucker Punch (2011)

This is not a movie - its an experience!

I dont recall how i came across this movie many-many years ago but I remember my first thought about 10-15 minutes in the movie - why have I never heard of it before?! I've seen it twice so far and im looking forward for the 3rd time!

The soundtrack, the actors and whole atmosphere is just epic! This is a type movie that needs your undivided attention to get the full blast several times during this lovely experience!

I don't get the 1/10 reviews?! The story is rather great and it made my hold my breath several times so give it a go - you will not regreat it!

Day Shift (2022)

I've expected more

Jamie Foxx and Dave Franco were great and they did their best to make it work with what they were given, which was not much! Very predictable and tad funny when (I think) was not meant to be funny.

Flick on from Dusk till dawn if you are after vamp movie and dont waste your time with this one.

Vertical Limit (2000)

Great action movie! PS - get off your hugh horses with all the "real climbers" etc

This action movie is what it promises - packed with bang, entertainment and some sentimental moments.

This is NOT documentary so stop being so precious how realistic or not is the movie. I'm not a climber and I couldn't give two buggers if half of those stunts can or cant be done in real life. On the same note, you don't go watching F&F thinking you'll see TopGear episode, do you?

Find whatever platform you can stream it from and enjoy the show - you will not regret it!

The Majestic (2001)

Great acting - 10/10 feel good movie!

I love mr Carrey's films, especially his serious movies (dont get me wrong - Ace Ventura is Ace Ventura!). One of my all time favorites movies is The Truman show and this film has the vibe and atmosphere - you will not regret checking this one out!!

The Impossible (2012)

Watched it twice - an absolute gem!

I've watched this movie in the cinema when it first came out and I was blown away! The actors delivered 110% - hands down! Ten years later (now I have couple a kids myself), I've re-watched the movie and it dead set broke my heart as now I can relate with the characters on another level again!

True 10/10 of movie!!!

The Matrix Resurrections (I) (2021)

Rehash and setup

I love the first 3 movies - all of them are 10/10! I've read fair few reviews here and (almost) all the negative comments are from people that simply do not like the genre in general, as simple as that!

The sequel clearly explains what has happened after Revolutions and the story line is very cathy plus we can see great setup for second sequel (cannot wait!!!).

The Negative - Morpheus and Agent Smith...very disappointing that that the brilliant Lana Wachowski decided to change the actors. Don't get me wrong, Jonathan Groff (Agent Smith) and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Morpheus) are doing good enough job but they cannot (and shouldn't) replace Hugo Weaving and Laurence Fishburne. I truly hope that things will change for second sequel.

I thought that the Matrix movies were done and I am stoked that this is not the case!

X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)

Great movie...but not according your girlfriend

For a good or a bad - it is the (more or less) the typical X-men/Superhero/Super power movie. I'm not some sort of a mega fan or anything but I do enjoy all X-men movies. If not for anything, at least watch 'cause that's the last time that Hugh Jackman will play Wolverine. VERY sad fact for me!

The movie has a lot to offer but still nothing that original (more or less). In saying that - it's very colourful and the actors are First class! Im kinda sick of Game Of Thrones actors to be in every new movie in 2016 but I guess it is, what it is.

Anyhow, long story - it's a great movie to watch it in the cinema - don't wait to come out on blu-ray or anything like this. You'll probably like it...but your girlfriend probably won't :D but she won't hate it either...so...go son! :D
