The Lighthouse (2019)
Boredom, Isolation, and Alcoholism leads to insanity, and the Film is Boring!
The movie is filled with unnecessary, monotonous, and non-understandable dialogue. Whatever the film meant is lost in the gibberish dialogue and static environment that could bore you to death. This is one film I wish was not made, and one that I will never re-watch. One of the most boring movie I have ever watched. If you value your time, watch something else.
Fear Street: 1994 (2021)
Unloveable characters
All the characters are a hard sell. The protagonists are egoistic and overly rash about making dumb decisions. The main protagonist is the worst of the bunch. Most of the time I am rooting for the bad guys to end her so the movie can be better without her egoistic persona whose decisions are selfish and hurts most those around her. The characterization really messed up the movie because you lack that one character you can sympathize with. Even after some of their friends are killed, the protagonists move on as if nothing has happened. They experience no trauma for losing their close friends, who died because of their rush and unrealistic decisions. Further, there are no emotions of sorrow from the protagonists as they all fail to show how the death of their friends affect they. Neither do they miss who their friends were. The characters are shallow and fail to connect the audience with their socioeconomical problems and their plight for survival. All in all, the rating for this file is overated! A 4/10 does it justice.
Watchmen (2019)
Poor, incoherent, and Shambolic
The series is a disaster. It fails to evoke the same excitement that came from Snyder's 2009 masterpiece. The cast are okay but the script is a mess. Nothing inspiring comes from watching this film as it fails in the plot direction from the poorly scribbled script. Dr Manhattan is a big mess and seems to be a hoax when compared with the one from Snyder's film.
The Boys (2019)
The best adaptation of the comics
Its a 'real' series in that there is a conflict of good and bad. The good and bad is happening to anybody no matter if you are good or bad. The good guys are getting beat up pretty good which makes it an unusual story since other adaptations have superheroes saving the day in each episode and hardly struggle.
