Heart of Stone (I) (2023)

An ok effort, nothing special

The movie does a commendable job overall, particularly when it comes to its action sequences which are undeniably well-executed. The cast delivers solid performances, the settings are visually appealing, and the action choreography truly stands out. Regrettably, the writing falls short of expectations, and the storyline struggles with both clarity and depth. It's apparent that a significant budget was allocated for this production, leading one to wonder why a more skilled team of screenwriters wasn't brought on board.

In the end, the movie falls into the category of being just okay. It's the type of film that's likely to fade from memory within a day, without much desire for a second viewing. This echoes a common trend in contemporary cinema, where the fundamental pillars of a compelling narrative and well-developed characters seem to have been somewhat neglected.

For those in search of an enjoyable action movie, it might be wise to explore other options.

The Princess (I) (2022)

Great action

The princess is a simple, fun, bloody action movie.

The princess was only available on Disney+ in the majority of Europe but they decided to take it out from the platform. Right now the only way to watch it here is by using a pirated copy. I kinda uderstand the decision to cut off terrible shows like willow but this movie didn't deserve it. Disney + has a lot of bad tv-show and film that nobody is watching but some genious decided that is OK to cut off new movie and tv-show, wtf!!!!!! Another example is the movie the crater: an enjoyable little movie that didn't deserved to be taking out from the only place available. Whoever is taking this decisions should be ashamed of him/herself.

The princess is the kind of movie that I would love to add to my br collection but unfortunately Disney decided otherwise. Fortunately there are other way to watch it, it's a shame that the only sure source to preserve movie like this one is illegal almost everywhere.

Live Is Life (2021)

Great coming of age adventure movie

Modern "stand by me" like movie set in Spain with a great cast and a good story.

Sometimes modern movie lack good characters , they feel dry, without heart, easy to forget and with poor writing in general. Instead this movie is a little gem.

I really liked the setting, the protagonist relationship and it reminded me of great movies like the goonies and stand by me.

Highly recommended.

Chucky (I) (2021– )

An ok series, some good parts ruined by uneven acting and poor writing.

This tv-serie is really odd. I like how they respect the original, adding some back story to the lore, using a real puppet instead of cgi and using original actors, especially near the end of season 1.

Unfortunately, the writing and acting direction is kinda bad. When a puppet seems to react better to situations than real actors, one have to ask himself if the director was doing his job.

Did anybody direct the actors? Did nobody saw the terrible performances in certain scenes? Did anybody question the uneven writing?.

One side of me like that they casted real teens instead of 25-30 years old acting younger. On the other side scenes like the party one felt so unconfortable and the lack of direction seems not helping the younger inexperienced actors.

Uncharted (2022)

Mediocre adventure movie, flat characters, passable writing.

This movie is based on a popular videogame franchise, with great characters, writing and beautiful locations.

Unfortunately, the movie is a mediocre action flick, the writing is not great and characters feels flat.

This movie is not for the videogames fans, it add nothing and the only thing it does is reminding you how good the game is in camparison.

If you are not familiar with the source it can be enjoyable but don't expect a good movie.

2001: A Space Travesty (2000)

Unfunny spoof movie.

This movie is an anomaly. They clearly had a decent budget, with passable cgi and good build stages and costumes.

Unfortunately the direction, the editing and writing is atrocious.

A few good gags but the rest is a messy unfunny movie.

Outer Banks (2020– )

Season 1 was ok, season 2 a let down

The show had great potential: a nice setting, a good story, at the beginning and a few e nice characters.

The problem is the writing: characters act as they are brain damage, choosing the stupidest actions possible, at any time.

Even the plot twists are so badly written, that you see them hours before they are presented to you.

In the end, this show had some good ideas but it was ruined by incompetent writers.

Blood Red Sky (2021)

A solid action, thriller/horror movie.

After 10 min of the firts episode I couldn't stop watching.

Sweet tooth his a great show, the cast did an amazing job, the story is magical and thrilling and the all production, especially cinematography, is so good.

Netflix, you better not cancel this one because is a winner, highly recommended.

Coming 2 America is a direct sequel to the first movie, lacking the spirit and simplicity of the original. The sequel has a good cast but the script is atrocious and unfortunately is boring and unfunny.

Unfortunately it seems that the writers behind this show never saw Star Trek, maybe just the Abrams movies.

Racism in the federation, poverty, lack of resources??!!

The sad part, like for discovery or the new star wars movie, is that the production value is incredible: costumes, sets, cgi and the general presentation. At the end it looks amazing but the story feel like a generic sci-fi tv-show, it's kinda sad.

The Week Of (2018)

There is a funny movie inside this mediocre flick, unfortunately you have to cut at least 30min before it began bearable. Some characters are ok, some jokes are funny but the movie is too long and not enough entertaining to justify is existence.

I was hoping that people were exaggerating with the bad reviews but unfortunately this is an average, boring and ultimately bad movie.

The 90% of this movie is bad improvisation, unfunny jokes and useless dialogues; it's like they forgot to write a real script. They tried to copy a lot of scenes from the original, forgetting to add the little elements that made it a great movie.

Some visual effects are great, some scenes really creepy and well made but they get lost in a mediocre story with a weak villain, annoying characters and too much useless improvised dialogues.

Ultimately Ghosbusters 2016 is a failure: fans will hate it and new viewers will forget it in a few hours.

Congratulation Sony and Paul feig for letting a lot of people down.

Behaving Badly (2014)

Having good actors in the cast unfortunately doesn't save a really bad movie

The movie start like a normal rom/teen/comedy and after like 10-15 minutes become pure nonsense.

There are a lot of good actors in this movie for some reason, so much good potetial, lost in a terrible terrible project.

This movie is simply badly made, so badly that they even get the timeline events of the story wrong, probably during the editing.

It could have been an average comedy but they made too much errors. This should be put in a manual as an example how not to make a movie. Bad writing, bad directing, bad editing....... this movie is really bad.

Do yourself a favor and search elsewhere, there is nothing good about this one.

Cockroaches (2015)

A great fun post apocalyptic Britsh show

I just watched the first season of this little gem and I really enjoy the ride. I really love drama like the walking dead, post apocalyptic games like Dayz or comedy like Zombieland and this show didn't disappoint me.

This TV-show is a light comedy about a group of people trying to survive in a future post apocalyptic world, full of cannibals and mad people and a fresh add to the genre.

Don't expect an over the top action comedy like ZNation but a more subtle comedy that remind me of Plebs compared to Rome.

If you like the post apocalyptic genre and British TV-show like Plebs and Bad education you'll probably enjoy this one.

Highly recommended, especially if you are trying to find something a little different than the mainstream shows during the summer to watch.

Cinema Six (2012)

A really good movie

This little gem was really difficult to find, here in Europe. I just finished to watch it and I was pleasantly surprised.

It's the kind of drama comedy that feels real, all the characters where well developed without been over the top or just a boring parody.

Somehow it reminded me of movie like City Island,The Station Agent, Garden state. Those kind of movie that show us how life can be complicate, sad, strange and funny at the same time.

This is the kind of movie that I will be happy to add to my DVD collection but it seems impossible to find in DVD (at least where I live).

I just hope that movie like this get more attention, because they deserve it. A really little movie gem: well written, acted and directed.

I Highly advice anyone to check this movie out, especially to all little drama comedy lovers.

Henry (II) (2010)

A nice surprise: finally an Italian noir that deliver great atmosphere and characters.

I just watched this movie and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a modern noir, well directed and scripted.

it's nice to see some Italian director experiment a little and deliver a movie with great atmosphere and characters that felt real.

I was pleasantly surprised to watch a movie that reminded that we still have a good Cinema in Italy, despite the waste garbage produced for the theaters or TV in the last years.

Alessandro Piva (director) did it again and delivered a great story, showing us the sadness and the violence about the reality around the drug and clandestine world.

I highly recommend this movie and I hope that this type of cinema get more recognized in Italy too.

The Swiss Miss Massacre (2012)

Nice Horror\comedy little movie

The movie is really nice, especially for a Swiss movie. It's a comedy, horror and I did enjoy it.

I saw the movie at the television (RSI), dubbed in Italian. When I searched for the DVD the only language available was German. No French, English or Italian subtitles. Even if the Italian dub exist they decide that others language weren't necessary, like in a lot of other Swiss movie on DVD.

The thing that makes me mad is that we are a 4 national language Country but seems that even Swiss people don't care at all about it.

I will love to support this little movie buy buying the DVD but I don't speak German, like a lot of Swiss people and most of the rest of the world. This is just a stupid businesses move: instead of trying to promote the movie in the majority of languages and Country as possible they just release the DVD in one language (keep i mind that subtitles and other languages dub already exist for this movie!!!!).

Any way, the movie is nice, unfortunately if you don't speak German you have to find a non legit copy around the net.

Tattoos After Dark (2014– )

Not that bad

This new reality show is set in two different tattoo shop, that open during evening time. One is in Hollywood blv. the other one in Venice beach.

The show is funny and can give you a good representational of the kind of tattoo shops that made famous other reality like Tattoo nightmares and Bad ink.

The show is entertaining and can be a nice way to pass some time. Compared to Ink master, best tattoo, it show us the average tattoo artist, working in the kind of shop with low quality and sometimes a borderline ethic practice.

If you wanna see drunk, weird,funny human been get an average-bad tattoo or a piercing, this show it's for you.

War Z Day One (2013)

Not good.

Be aware, the 5 review that I read before mine are so fake. At least don't sell it like it's a Oscar movie if you do a fake a review of a mediocre/bad production.

On YouTube you can find a lot of good web-series, some about the Zombie apocalypse are really good and well made, this one, unfortunately, is not one of them.

The series it's almost bearable, at least until the last scene. The actors did a nice job, especially the paranoid kid, the reporter and the suit guy. The writing felt a little poor and rushed. Photography,makeup/fx, sound,locations, are really nice.

Too much errors in editing just let me a little bit frustrated at the end, like they didn't care at all.

------------SPOILERS:

• The police woman she is clearly visible by the others guy but they just see her at the end. - The Police woman shot the Z, he is facing the sky. (Change of visual), very different light, the woman look at the Z facing the ground.

• The last scene was the worst: You see one Z on fire walking the stairs and be one meter from the door. (change visual) some Z are walking to the house, you can see the house entrance, the Z on flames disappear and no flames at all. The visual change again and the house start to be magically on fire, no first Z around though. --------------------------------------------------------

Sometimes editing software have some problems and put some error screen in your final project. In episodes 4 for two time you can see some frame wit one error page (something like: media offline....) At least watch the final product and cut off the errors.

At the end, I've been a little negative on this web series but the fake reviews and the rushed final product didn't really help.

A beautiful documentary about music

I really enjoyed this Documentary about this particular kind of music and artistic performances from a few Japanese artist. I saw this documentary 3 years ago in Lausanne (Switzerland) during the Underground film and music festival. The audience was really enthusiastic about this movie and all the review were really positive.

After 3 years I thought to re watch this Movie but it's impossible to find it.

The sad thing is that right now you can buy this doc trough ITunes, Amazon, Vimeo, ... but it's only available for USA costumers. The movie project was made by a France group and it's impossible to buy the DVD in Europe?? this is really stupid.

Puff, Puff, Pass (2006)

I watched this movie expecting a good,stoned,funny, comedy.... but it was a disappointment. Normally i really enjoy this kind of film but not this one. It's not really bad but i really hoped that was more funny. I was a little bored during the all time, yes some laughs but nothing special. I really loved the two principal characters, the actors were good and they were perfect for the part. Some of the secondary characters were very funny and some situations absolutely hilarious. The very disappointment was the plot, nice start but without verve at the end. So, watch this movie if there is nothing better to watch..... rent or download it....

Underclassman (2005)

why this low score??????? Not as bad as people say

I was very skeptical about this movie: low rating, bad review but i really liked it!!! This is probably the most underrated movie ever!!!! I saw a lot of crappy movie made in 2005, some very bad, but they had always higher score than this!!!!!! why??? This is a nice adventure,cop, comedy movie.... OK this movie will not be a cult movie or a potential Oscar winner but it still worth watching. Absolutely not as bad as people say. So, if you are searching for a nice comedy,adv,cop,teen movie without deep plot and some laugh this is a good 90 minutes to spend in front of your TV!!! Don't believe the low rating!!!

After watch this movie I was surprised that someone had like it!!!! I think this is the worst comedy I ever seen....ever!!!! If you think you had already seen the worst comedy made wait for watch this crap!!!! Not funny at all( OK one or two laugh maybe.......but you have to be really high), the acting is terrible and the story doesn't exist. Even if you like snowboarding ( and I really do) you will hate this movie. OK, OK you can see some nice babes , some nice snowboarding tricks and some beautiful mountains but that's all!!! Watch a porno set in the mountains instead because the acting and the story line might be better!!!!! Sometimes in IMDb I read bad review about some movie and at the end they are not so awful....but this one, believe me,is pure trash!!!! Don't waste your time and money in this one.
