The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard (2009)
Funny..but could have been better
I've seen a lot of posts on this site either claiming this a terrible waste of time or the funniest ever made. The truth is the people that deemed this "unwatchable" or "left after 30 mins" should never have gone in the first place. What did you expect.. seriously? The writing could have been a lot better but it was still entertaining. It's worth a watch but is not as good as Talladega Nights or Anchorman. Ed Helms and Rob Riggle stole the screen much like they did in The Hangover. However disappointing was the performance by Ken Juong, who suffered badly from the lack of creative writing. In the end, the movie "is what it is" a decent hit and miss comedy.
White Noise (2005)
White Noise is worth your money
I would compare White Noise a lot to the Sixth Sense. Both start out pretty slow. Both have surprising endings (not saying this is as shocking). Also both are much more disturbing than scary. Once this movie gets going it does provide some very chilling moments. Keaton does a great job with the script that he is given. I'm not sure what it was exacting, but the script didn't seem to be put together very well. It feels like they are providing filler between the disturbing parts. Although isn't that what we really paid to see? If you take if for what its worth you will surely enjoy this movie. The story isn't horrible but doesn't come close to Sixth Sense caliber. Still a very good movie. PS What is with the music during the closing credits? Couldn't they have chose something a little less upbeat?
