Garbage

How in any way this is connected to the other films in the series is beyond me. The acting, effects, and plot are absolute trash disguised behind what seems like a high quality production. The creators of this film have lost the plot, quite literally. One and a half hours completely wasted, time I could have used doing absolutely anything else would have been more enjoyable.

It's movies like this that make me wish there was some form of punishment for the makers, maybe having to sit through this twice.

0.2/10 (0.2 for Otis's performance, truly hilarious)

Not Scooby Doo
19 May 2020
If you came looking for a Scooby Doo film, you won't find one. From what they did with the voice acting, to the character changes, one more little change and they would have had an entirely original film. Trying to make an Hanna Barbara universe is a great idea, and if only they put in a bit more effort without trying to change the characters to something almost unrecognisable. I am also not a fan of this animation style, but that is purely my own preference, it seemed extremely generic, like late 2000s cereal commercials. Of all the character changes, Velma annoyed me the most, they all have differences to the originals, some are good, take Fred and Daphne, updated and it works, but Velma, a complete new character, could have changed the name and wouldn't be any notice. I am disappointed they never got Mathew back for Shaggy Fun if you need something to entertain the young kids, but why not stick on the originals for them.

I Was Not Expecting This
4 January 2020
Waiting for Moffat to give us Sherlock season 5, or return Doctor Who to its glory, instead he gave us this, what I thought would be a load of Netflix crap. I was pleasantly surprised, and glad I was wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed this miniseries, and my only complaint is how short it was. I'm glad each installment was as long as they were, thinking at first it mint be a bit of a struggle to get through, but at the end of each episode, I was left wanting more. Excellent show, a must watch.

Strange for me, but I did enjoy this film.
15 December 2019
Here is how this movie's script was written. Michael Bay gathered every one involved in this film, from the most of the cast, writers, extras, producers, to even the caterers. Marched them on to a field in a large stadium, and on this field were school desks and chairs, on each desk was a notepad with exactly 374 pages, a dozen pens, and 4 grams of cocaine. In front of each row of desks stood a medium sized elastic catapult facing a giant wooden screen, and a big bucket of water. Everyone's job was to do a bunch of cocaine, and then some more cocaine, and then start writing the craziest stuff they could imagine, walk up to the catapult, roll the paper into a ball, wet it, and fire it at the screen. A few days later, after the first few funerals, and the paper had dried, Bay collected all the paper balls that has stuck, and arranged them in order from the highest to the lowest. He filled in the gaps with a few explosions, and some unnecessary slow-mows, as well as Ryan Reynolds, playing a Ryan Reynolds character. That my friends, is how the script was written. Still loved it.

Another Generic Horror Series
7 December 2019
Again we have a series with potential that falls short. Definitely better than most subpar shows in this flooded genre, with enjoyable visuals, good enough acting, but unevenly paced story telling. It reminds me of Zoo in its style, albeit with a bit more substance. It's a shame poor Adrian Holmes was dragged into this. I am looking forward to seeing where this will go, but my guess is it won't make it past two seasons.

Worst DC Animation so far.
6 November 2019
WW Bloodlines is by far the worst DC have put out so far. The only plus is the actual animation, which is pretty good. The story, pacing are terrible. It feels like they have left bits out, and the continuity from previous installments seems off. I did like the voice work for Dr Poison though.

Arrowverse is dead

I was hoping this would be The CWs comeback series. That Batwoman would bring it back to its roots. The first episode is trash. There is nothing redeeming. I really like Ruby Rose, but in this, she comes off as a D lister.

It's only the first episode, so Here's to hoping the series gets better, and I can change my review.

I tried to like this, I really did
16 August 2019
What I did like. The fight scenes were pretty good, it looks like that is where most of the effort went. The score. Probably the only thing that marks up to a big budget movie. Flash, Batman, and Apokolips. The actors did quite a good job.

The bad. Every else, the rest of the acting, the costumes. Costumes, apart from Supergirl and Apokolips, are crap, dollar store bad. Superman's costume seems to change, at one point his S emblem looks like a newspaper cutout pinned to his chest. The plot is disjointed, all over the place.

I do like these kind of films, as I think a lot of effort goes into them, but this one fails to hit it's mark.

The really really bad. Supermans acting Wonder Womans acting ( I'm not talking to you filth ) The scene where flash moves Alfred out the way Green Lantern, all of Green lantern, wow.

3/10. A point each for the music, Apokolips, and Batman (not the Bruce Wayne parts)

I'm sure things will only get better for the people who made this, and in a way, kinda looking forward to what comes next.

Could be better.

I'm a huge fan of Jimmy Carr, and Katherine Ryan, and I really enjoy panel shows. The idea is great, but where they miss the mark is the quality of guests they have on the show. Most of the guest "comedians" jokes are copied and unoriginal. If you're a fan of British panel shows, you probably won't enjoy this. Also not a fan of some of the Left jokes, they seem forced coming out of Jimmy's mouth.

Not the greatest.
12 April 2019
People calling this a rip-off of A Quiet Place need to do a bit of research, just a tiny bit. This movie is based on a book, written way before A Quiet Place was released, and filming also started back in 2017. That said, A Quiet Place is a brilliant move, and The Silence is mediocre at best. It feels rushed. The characters choices seem illogical. It has so much potential from a story point, pity it was wasted.

I Wanted to Hate This
31 October 2018
When I heard the casting, when I saw the production photo leaks, when I saw the trailer, I knew I would hate Titans. So happy I was wrong, I was hooked from the first episode. The only thing I am not liking is the character of Starfire, her personality just doesn't match up to the Starfire I know and remember, naive, sweet, and innocent, but maybe they will show this in flashbacks to when she first came to earth. One thing for everyone to note, this is not like The CW DC shows, which I do enjoy. I would like to see more mainstream DC characters in shows like this, a Batman prequel to this show, even a Starfire series set similar to Krypton. All in all, this is the kind of show I am glad we got.
