The Night House (2020)
Slow Paced but Good
"The Night House" is a haunting and captivating psychological thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Starring Rebecca Hall in a tour de force performance, the film follows a widow named Beth as she struggles to come to terms with the sudden and mysterious death of her husband. As she delves deeper into her husband's past, she uncovers a series of dark secrets that threaten to unravel her own sanity.
What sets "The Night House" apart from other horror movies is its nuanced exploration of grief and trauma. The film is not just about jump scares and gore, but rather about the psychological toll that loss can take on a person. Rebecca Hall delivers an outstanding performance as Beth, capturing the character's emotional turmoil and vulnerability with incredible depth and nuance.
The cinematography and sound design in "The Night House" are also top-notch, creating a palpable sense of unease and tension throughout the film. The movie's stunning visuals and eerie atmosphere will leave you feeling unsettled long after the credits roll.
Overall, "The Night House" is a must-see for fans of psychological horror. It is a thought-provoking and deeply unsettling film that will stay with you for a long time. Rebecca Hall's powerful performance and the film's masterful storytelling make it one of the best horror movies of the year.
Antidisturbios (2020)
Spanish typical nonsense
Riot Police" is a poorly written and overly dramatized portrayal of Spain's national police force. The show's attempts at creating tense and action-packed scenes fall flat, with clunky dialogue and unconvincing acting taking away from any potential excitement. The characters are one-dimensional and lack depth, making it difficult to care about their struggles or motivations. Overall, "Riot Police" fails to deliver on its promise of a thrilling police drama and instead comes off as a cheap and forgettable series.
No ways to interact, no interest whatsoever it's just a Useless waste of precious time.
The Twin (2022)
Underrated Minor Noir
Well the acting it's pretty bad and for more than an hour you'll be boring yourself to death, but in the end this northern black (no gore so no horror!) story it's good and solid.
I would recommend to give it a try.
The Black Phone (2021)
Nope
The movie itself surely has quality, acting (the young sister with dreams), filming, atmosphere, and the central idea are quite good.
BUT as often happens with these flicks the writers didn't know how to close the story and everything goes bananas.
My advice is to see it with no expectations whatsoever because it's got a really messy, cheesy ending.
The Empty Man (2020)
Good start leads to DISAPPOINTING 2 Hrs+ flick
Really guys just watch the first 20/30' and then go ahead with your chores.
A cliché stuffed thing, no ideas whatsoever, nothing!
Just a cluster of boring already-seen after another.
The Card Counter (2021)
Assuming Nothing
We are very close to zero here. There are a couple of good visual moments but the whole thing is really disappointing. Absolutely do not waste your time unless you're a fan of predictable, cheesy movies.
The White Lotus (2021)
Absolutely brilliant
One of the best series ever, not joking.
I wonder what are people arguing about this is absolutely top class.
Atmosphere, script, acting everything is absolutely perfect
Don't miss this.
Relic (2020)
Embarrassing Story and Script
If you like 80% of dialogues (monologues better) consisting of "Mom?" and "Moooomm!!" and "MOM..." this is your flick.
If not go ahead.
Widows (2018)
Disappointing
Great cast for such a useless movie, full of cliches and bad screenwriting.
