Twisted Metal (2023– )

Peackock got it right!!

Ok, so I didn't had any expectations when I saw the announcement of this project. They got a little up when I saw the trailer, but we all know how trailers can be deceiving.

So it was great when I was pleasant surprised with this gem.

The adaption to the game was masterfuly done. The characters are great, Mackie and Beatriz are awesome, Samoa Joe as Sweet Tooth with Will Arnett's voice is my favorite so far.

This is a dark comedy with some gore action, but it's a refreshing show in a ocean of reality shows and freaking cookie cutter drama shows that are all some version of each other. So if you want laughs and don't mode a bit of gore, give this one a shot.

Special Ops: Lioness (2023– )

Another great show by Taylor Sheridan

Do not mind the naysayers, this is a great show.

The plot is solid, yes some of it is fantasy, but that is the name of entertainment, although many times reality is harder to believe than fantasy.

The cast is great, we are still knowing them, but first episode gives us Cruz backstory so we can see what motivates her.

Taylor Sheridan is to TV what Midas was to gold, his shows keep being amazing and entretaining, from Yellowstone to the Tulsa King.

I hope he keeps making this shows and seasons great, can't wait to see his new show that is in production Bass Reeves. And of course can't wait for the new seasons of all his shows to drop.

Class of '09 (2023)

A really good SiFi about AI

I think some of the reasons a lot of people didn't liked this, was because the time jumps, but unlike many confusing time jumps movies and series (seems no one is creative and everyone is doing it) this show actually situates you with a legend.

I love the permisse, the idea of an unbiased AI making cases and assisting in the fight against crime was pretty good.

Loved he cast, it was really good, it's imho one of the best science fiction I've seen in a while. It has a good pace and all three timelines converge pretty well. Also loved the ending, unlike a lot of movies and shows it brings the plot to a good ending but with an open.

Pitty more people don't like it.

The Terminal List (2022– )

Great thriller

If you like military thrillers don't miss this one.

Chris Pratt is great and there are a lot of great support cast, that helps tell this story.

I have no clue why Amazon doesn't advertise this type of series more. They did the same with Reacher.

Top Gun: Maverick (2022)

Throwback to the 80's

Great movie, I think Tony Scott would be proud of this sequel.

I was 15y when I saw To Gun and 34y later it's still one of my favorites. And I'm not a Cruise fan.

Miles Teller is one of my favorite actors and he delivers.

The Man Who Fell to Earth (2022)

Not just a great Sci Fi story...

It's kind of a sequel to David Bowie movie with the same name "The Man Who Fell to Earth - 1976" based on the Walter Tevis novel (the same guy that gave us movies like the Color of money or the Hustler, and more recently the series The Queen's Gambit.

It's well written and has a kick ass cast. If you like Sci Fi don't miss it, if you not a fan, still give it a chance out might enjoy it.

The actual ratings are really unfair and can only be explained by the usual crowd of people that see politic attacks everywhere. Ignore them.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022)

Nick Cage has been on s lot of god awful movies, but since Raising Arizona he had been one of my favorite actors. So seeing him play himself and with a awesome script was bound to be a great combo, but it was by far much better than I expected. It's a really fun movie to watch. Give it a chance.

Reacher (2022– )

The Reacher we deserved

Finally a proper Jack Reacher.

And although having Nick Santora show running this, the fact reamains it is a very good adaptation of the first Reacher Novel and it follows Lee Child vision fairly well.

I hope this is the beginning of a two digit seasons.

Old (2021)

Horrible way to progress the story

I love most M. N. Shyamalan movies. This one could have been great, but feels he just rushed this.

*Spoiler* The movie starts great, but it lost me at the beach when they start saying the kids abnormal growth is "something they ate" or it's "a virus"... Really?

Anyway I watched until the end, but couldn't get pass that.

Survive the Game (2021)

Really bad, from script to acting.

Once again I am disappointed by one of my favorite actors of all time. Bruce Willis seems to be just after any paycheck he can get.

Avoid this at all cost.

The Green Knight (2021)

If the challenge was a blow landed would be that will eventually have to let himself bend the knee and take the same blow given. So simply hit him with the hilt of the sword on the arm and be done with it.

The plot was just awful.

Cruella (2021)

Soberb adaptation of the Disney classic

The duo of Emma's is excellent. Both Emma Thompson and Emma Stone make this a fantastic movie. The story was amazing and all the cast brilliant. A special shut out to Mark Strong a underrated actor that deserves much more features in my opinion.

Army of the Dead (2021)

Tig should also been the first choice for that role, Chris D'Elia even before his demise was just wrong.

The Nevers (2021–2023)

An amazing story and cast

While I abhorre Joss, I can't fault this show.

The cast is awesome, the story is amazing. Imagine a Victorian X-Men mixed with some steampunk (as others have typed here).

Give this one a try, forget about the Joss touch of death and enjoy the show.

Superman & Lois (2021–2024)

Wow... Amazingly much better than I thought

Maybe because I had no expectations at all, after all the failed CW/DC adaptations I was expecting more of the same. Boy was i wrong. So give this a try.

I hope the next episodes are, at least, as good as the pilot.

Give it a try if you like action shows.

It's a great show. It isn't Denzel's Mccall but it's a kick ass Queen Latifah Mccall. I enjoyed it and hope it keeps the tone of this first episode.

Run Hide Fight (2020)

The Stand (2020–2021)

Great show of an awesome King novel

Nevermind the insane people coming here because of one cast member (I wonder how many of those reviews are from Depp himself *snickers*)

The adaptation isn't total faithful to the King novel, nonetheless it works very well l, judging by the first episode. Of course reviews are always based on our own opinions,but if you like apocalyptic stories, ignore the bad reviews and give this one a try. You won't regret it.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020–2021)

Disappointing

I usually do not type reviews.about shows I don't like. I don't see the point in being negative to someone's else creation or vision, but I was really looking forward to to this show. Really expected a better show. I hope it becomes.better, but for now it's subpar in my opinion. Some less than good acting, some really bad dialogues and stories.

I hope they make me.wrong and the show ends up surprising us.

He is a renaissance Big Man. He fights for all he wants and for all he got. Well done Mr. Shaquille O'Neal. He's funny and goofy, a loving father and when it his needed a serious businesses man. I hope we have another season of Shaq life. He is inspiring.

Locke & Key (2020–2022)

Lazy writing, filled with plot holes.

So I a 7? Well I like the premise and the characters, when they weren't being forcibly morons due to really bad writing. We have a bright kid that finds a door that allows him to speak to an elder Locke and he doesn't revisit him for insight or clues? He never tells this to his sister and brother!? Come on. By e10 we have a Dodge unconscious, there is a rapid mention to the Shadow crown, and that's it!? No one looks for the keys and finds it strange she has none on her and no crown? Probably she is using the face key? Again, COME ON. I hope we have a 2nd season, but please have the writers step up their game. Either they didn't want to write this show, ok then let new young creative people do it. Damn, I could have done a better job and I don't even write.

Congratulations to all involved, you managed to make a show work in the midst of a pandemic and still give it a positive vibe. Hopefully we'll all meet again in the next season.
