This "horror" movie was freaking hilarious and terrible
16 March 2022
Totally incoherent editing and pacing make this film almost unwatchable. And the very few scenes which do make some sense are unintentionally hilarious.

And the acting was bland all around except for the lead actress Olivia ( or something idk), her acting was so laughable. She single handedly made the whole movie to a comedy.

Don't watch this movie if you value your time.

Aquaman (2018)

One of the best superhero movies of all time
20 January 2019
Aquaman is a movie you should best watch in packed houses. Then you can really enjoy all the fun of the movie. Yes, as the critics have pointed out this is a CGI fest, but that is a great plus for the movie.

The plot of the movie is simple. The real essence of the movie lies in its wonderful visuals. As you would know, the movie is set in the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. The makers have excelled at making Atlantis as beautiful as possible.

Coming to the acting, William Dafoe and Patrick Wilson were outstanding. But the biggest praise goes to Jason Momoa. Oh,how cool he was! I have become his fan now. Amber Heard was a constant source of irritation with her skin-fit and cleavage-barring outfits. But Nicole Kidman was the one who disappointed me. I was hoping a good performance from her but all I got was her walking around in skimpy costumes.

Overall, Aquaman was a hell of a fun ride. Go for it!!

The most hilariously bad SyFy movie till now
19 January 2019
What can I say about this movie? This movie is so bad that sometimes it's good. But only sometimes, and those are not worth your time. First things first, our Middle Ages heroine Belle(Estella Warren)has her cleavage on display and wears a miniskirt(yes seriously) the whole movie. And her acting is hilarious. Yes this is a B-movie and we can expect only this much from its actresses. Then there's the villain(Rhett Giles) who has the ability to keep the same expression for the whole movie. The female antagonist(Vanessa Gray)can compete for the best overacting award. The actor playing the beast was relatively good.

Now coming to the best worst part of the movie,CGI. Each time you see the CGI monster created by the witch, you can't help feeling bad for the makers of this wreck of a movie. It is so bad that you would actually stop laughing at Henry Cavill's CGI moustache memes.

If you value your time don't watch this wreck.

Another good family movie from the 90's
21 September 2018
It's no surprise that the 1990's are considered the golden age of Malayalam cinema. During this decade movies with comparatively smaller stars competed directly with movies with superstars and often the better movie became successful. This is very much in contrary to the 2000's where pretty much only superstar movies see success at the box office. 'Arjunan Pillayum Anchu Makkalum' is one of the 'average' movies from 1990's. One of those who you want to watch again and again. Yes, the 'average' movies of the 90's are much better than the best Malayalam movies in the present age. It does not have great storylines of family movies like 'Valsalyam' nor is it a comedy movie just made for dumb jokes. It manages to blend social issues and humour pretty. The plot is simple. Arjunan(Innocent) is father to 4 daughters and one son. He care a bit too much for his son Ajayan(Baiju). He marries off his elder three daughters to loving but low paid men. Simple enough, right? Well they have very well managed to turn this simple yet interesting plot to a fun filled movie with a good message at the end. You will laugh your heads off at most of the jokes. And unlike the jokes of movies nowadays, the jokes are very much in sync with the storyline. The performances are amazing. Innocent is great as the son-biased Arjunan. Jagadeesh, the de facto hero of the movie, is flawless as Uthaman. Baiju is impeccable as the spoilt Ajayan. Charmila is pretty as Jayashree, the third daughter of Arjunan and wife of Uthaman. Jagathy Sreekumar and Harisree Ashokan star are the other in-laws of Arjunan. They are the source of the majority of the film's humour and they never fail to make you laugh. Kalpana and Bindu Panicker enact their roles with perfection although they could have been used better considering their comic capability. KPAC Lalitha is very much convincing as the loving yet helpless Sharada, Arjunan's wife. We find a unique villain in C.I Paul who is funny and hateful all at the same time.

So if you want to have a good time watching a movie ,then this is the movie for you. It has flaws but it is just too much fun for anyone to notice those.
