Masters of the Air (2024)
Yankee dankee doodle
Once again Americans won the war entirely by themselves and us Brits well we just sat back as sniveling cowards. Hate all the characters absolutely nothing likeable about them. Very very poor in comparison to The Pacific and Band of Brothers. Feel like things would have been different if it was produced by HBO. As soon as I heard it was going to be made by Apple TV I knew it was going to be garbage. Apple TV hasn't produced a single good TV show (maybe Ted Lasso). Would advise people to avoid this if you have seen either Band of Brothers or The Pacific, as it just doesn't cut the mustard I'm afraid.
Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons (1967)
Unbelievable
Better than Thunderbirds, far more realistic. More adult themed, just far superior. The puppets are much more life-like. The friendship between Captains Blue and Scarlet is endearing. Captain Black is a personal favourite of mine, his rugged (crack-addict) look is very appealing. He's the true hero of this story.
It Takes Two (2021)
Unbelievable
This game made me commit war crimes. 10/10. Genocide, torture, and all within a 12 rated game. Aside from that the story is compelling, and the mini games provide a nice break from the intensity of the rest of the game.
No Time to Die (2021)
Not a Bond Film
If this was released as a standalone film then maybe my rating would be higher, but as a Bond film it's not good. Felt like it jumped about a lot and there was unnecessary use of CGI when practical effects would have been perfectly fine. Bond is not a father, I'm sorry. Just doesn't fit the character that Ian Fleming laid out and the attempts at comic relief fell real short. Honestly felt like they tried to mash every Bond film into one and it fell flat.
Baghdad Central (2020)
Interesting to say the least
The setting of this series sparked my interest - a detective drama, set in the Iraq War. Characters are interesting and keep me engaged. The plot contains enough action and edge of your seat excitement to keep you entertained whilst also allowing enough dialogue for proper character development.
