How Much Does the Trojan Horse Weigh? (2008)

Excellent film, although probably not what you would expect from Machulski.

This movie is very good, but quite unlike previous Machulski's works. Machulski is a master of comedy, but this movie is not a comedy; it's rather a drama with fantasy/dream elements.

I'm afraid this movie will share the fate of Mike Judge's "Office Space" and Ślesicki's "Show". Both movies are great, but failed at the box office, because were unlike their directors previous works, and thus were not what people expected.

Anyway, "Ile waży koń trojański?" is a great movie. It's based on a "what-if" concept. A woman wishes to undo some mistakes of her youth, and she is given a chance to do it. She accidentally finds herself back in 1987, 27 years old, in communist Poland, but with knowledge of her future (which she wants to change).

Tropic Thunder (2008)

Worst "comedy" I ever watched...

As an action movie, it is OK. Visual effects, extreme cinematography, dynamic montage, dozens of explosions, hundreds of ammo fired and so on. But as a comedy, it is hopeless. Dull dialogs, probably intended to be funny, but they aren't - they are just stupid. There were only few moments in the movie which caused me to laugh, but it's not enough to call it comedy - actually, this amount of humor is typical rather for action movies (like "Lethal Weapon", or even "Boondock Saints"), but these movies don't claim to be comedies. This movie is Action - and nothing more. Bad humor, no convincing plot, no suspense.

So, if you liked "Rambo" and "Commando", you will probably enjoy this movie. But if you want watch something funny, rather avoid this movie.

Starship Troopers (1997)

I felt pain during watching the movie.

The movie is awfully stupid. Not playfully silly, as many "crazy comedies" or TROMA productions are; just awfully stupid. I don't recommend this movie to anyone.

In this movie, you will see future space soldiers, descending onto an alien planet (without prior bombarding) and then shooting to aliens with machine guns, whose capabilities are comparable to these from WWII. Don't mind any spacesuits.

I gave 2 stars, but only for tits, abundant in the movie :)

This resembles a generic B-movie except that it is high-budget (which is not an advantage here; low-budget movies can count on forbearance in certain aspects but high-budget ones do not).
