I Love You I Miss You I Hope I See You Before I Die (2019)
I don't know what the director wanted to show us with this film
I don't understand what the director tried to show us through this film. The discription of the film wasn't what I experienced, I didn't see a tight bond between the women. I just saw three women who looked to be struggling with life and just went through the motions without taking the proper responsibilities that come with having children. I found it tough to see the two older children, I think they were somewhere between 3 and 5, going about the neighbourhood unsupervised by their parents. I don't think that is responsible behaviour by the parents.
I also thought it was disgracefull how the one behind the camera, don't know who that was, allowed the two kids to be in life threathening situations and just kept filming instead of reacting and therefore preventing something serious. The fact that those kids didn't get hurt during the filming of this documentary is just pure luck. This is also the reason why I gave it a 3. I think that the director and the one behind the camera, posebly the same person, is just as liable as the parents in the pure neglect of these children.
It was a tough one to watch. I'm left with the feeling that I'm also in the wrong by watching the film completely. I think it makes me perhaps a bit hypocritical. I really hope that this family can turn it around for these kids.
I don't know, like I wrote, this was a tough one.
