Spartacus (2010–2013)
8/10
Strong Language, Sexual Content, Gruesome Scenes
10 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Before I start the actual review I'd like everyone to know, watching the Mini-Series BEFORE the first season is a MUST to get back story. Watching it "after" the first season (even though it was made and aired in the second year) is boring- and you already know what happens to everyone. Do not let the sub-par filming turn you off; it is worth it.

Season 1 - half of Season 2 is full of "blood spatters" that break up scenes. Probably the most annoying thing in the show + the tomato-soup looking blood- which improves as you make it half way through the second season.

Over all the concept is original, plots are ever thickening, favorite characters are NEVER "safe". With main characters dying every season, Spartacus is far from boring. The biggest downfall is that the main man that plays Spartacus dies from cancer before Season 2 is filmed- you can tell he's not the same man. I almost quit the series due to this, it was sad to know he passed. Season 1 remains the best.

Be prepared to hear c*nt and c*ck ALL the time. No kiddos in the room while viewing! Loads of nudity and sexual content / sexual abuse / rape. If you can look past these things and pay attention to plot, it is well worth it.

Not bad if you can deal with ugly "vampires"
28 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I was really skeptical of watching this show; we've got The Vampire Diaries & Buffy The Vampire Slayer to thank for romanticizing what should be evil creatures of the night. Unfortunately I feel like the outward appearance is put together quickly; fangs looking fake (why do certain vampires need outward fangs while their hidden tongue-like appendage obviously does all the work?), facial structures barely morphed- while internally the once-humans are completely changed (aside from "The Master" who is very 'special' and is more thought out).

Physical appearance put aside, the plot is fairly great- honestly though who would find the time to build a romantic relationship and have intercourse right after beheading a dozen monsters? Some things are believable while others leave you tilting your head asking "Did they really just do THAT? Why?" All in all if you're into science fiction I say GO FOR IT!

Teen Wolf (2011–2017)
6/10
I'm Still Watching
28 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I've been a loyal viewer of Teen Wolf since Season 1 but as things have progressed, what would have been 10 stars has fallen to a mere 6! So many plot turns and way TOO many strings of "good luck" have begun killing the show entirely for me since the most recent season. The once well-done show has become lazy. Visual effects are wavering, it's less about saving the town and more about who is dating who and what their relationship status will be the next episode.

They (producers) seem to be pulling at strings to keep ratings going; what once was not acceptable now is? The only reason I'm still watching is to find out who the Desert Wolf is, fingers crossed that a beloved character dies off soon to keep things interesting.

Confusing at worst and 'okay' at best.

Turkey Shoot (2014)

Horrid attempt at being original
28 July 2015
This movie gave me a migraine as you will see every single plot turn coming your way. Filmed with what I assume a low budget; rip off of The Hunger Games, Hostel, Death Race, and MANY more (excellent films comparatively). It is a run of the mill "fight for your life because you're actually innocent" plot. It's a real shame seeing Dominic Purcell go from a great actor in many fabulous films / television shows, to this cruddy script. You can do SO much better as you've proved time and again in the past.

I'm left wishing I had read the reviews prior to watching this, would have saved me a hour of thinking "What the heck were they thinking?"

Do yourself a favor and do not bother with this low- budget inferior boring movie.

Malibu Shark Attack (2009 TV Movie)
2/10
Horrid
16 March 2013
So I'm watching Malibu Shark Attack as I'm typing this up, I was so irritated by the fact that Goblin Sharks are indeed REAL, that I had to make an account on this site just to tell you how horrendous this movie is. Not only is the CGI, acting, and script complete crap but they give you false facts about an existing shark. Seriously if you wanted to make up stuff you might as well had gone the extra mile to design a fake shark too.

A Goblin Shark is in fact real, it lives in the deep oceans and was discovered off the shores of Japan. This creature is only rare due to the depths it lives at, the Goblin Shark isn't even considered endangered! The snout in the movie is far too short, its skin color should be pinkish and not gray unless It's dead. The reality of the situation is null. Another lousy Syfy attempt at creating the new "Jaws" but honestly we would have been much better off if it wasn't even made.

If you enjoy disappointment then this movie is just what you're looking for.
