Miscarriage of Comedy
9 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This series had so much potential, but it went off the rails about half-way through, and never recovered, and ultimately, it led up to a VERY disappointing non- "ending." The plot went downhill fast. This series was basically about "The Many Hairstyles" and " The Variety of Pregnancy Stylings" of "Kaley. A podcast-within-a-mini-series is not exactly Shakespearean. The podcast is titled "Based on a True Story" because it features testimony from an "active" serial killer. With that in mind, the answer to the question is no; this show is not based on a true story. It was a true waste of a good cast.

WHAT a CAST!
13 April 2023
As long as I live, I will never forget Chloë Sevigny as the apathetic, washed-up, one-hit wonder punk rocker who refused to "jooge the turd." A dozen of the top veteran actors in Hollywood appeared in this too-short series, and each one gave a tour de force performance. Natasha Lyonne complemented each of them perfectly. Ellen Barkin was also unforgettable. Cast includes Nick Nolte, Benjamin Bratt, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tim Meadows and an unrecognizable Judith Light. Even the wide-ranging and scenic, classic American locales became characters. Poker Face is a fun streaming romp. Each episode works independently, but you know what they say about the sum of the parts...

Worth a Watch...if...

Warning: Spoilers
...IF you are a horror fan looking for fresh ideas, or at least a fresh remix... ...AND if you like to be grossed out!

Very cool and original gross-outs.

A tour-de-force by the 3 leading ladies.

Would rave, but I thought that the end was a cop-out.

A Fun Ride, if You're Not Too Critical

Great Thriller, if you don't mind the many glaring technical & script flaws. There are some very improbable moments, but Keanu powers through them all with 100% believe-ability. Excellent cast. A fun ride with a few highly unique, mind-bending moments.

Epic Waste of an Epic Cast
13 November 2017
Richard Gere had one expression and broods through the entire film. Laura Linney's character was completely devoted to a completely unlovable character. None of the relationships seemed believable. There could have been a big payoff with any number of exquisite conclusions to this film, but the ending to this film was singularly & almost devastatingly unsatisfying.
