Wilderness (2023)
Need a reason to watch? Jenna Coleman
She is so amazingly believable in this show, I'm on 5/6 and it's been pretty solid throughout. Her acting above all others has been tremendous.
Eric Barbour is amazing as well and it's so great to see him working again.
Oliver Jackson is just a guy you love to hate.
This has been a very compelling ride, even when it makes you wonder, the storytelling, editing and writing and of course acting is just so very stellar.
I have 179 to go.... Can't say enough about Jenna Coleman leading this series and her incredible range and emotion.
Looking forward to 6/6.
No spoilers, I hear the ending is great but haven't read anything on it.
The Flash (2023)
Whoop there it was
Watched it... wasted $20+ bucks to buy it. It was fair, way too long, so many unnecessary scenes. It was enjoyable enough but it didn't ring true to anything that could be passable for a DCU future. The best part hands down Michael Keaton. He made this movie. He was funny, nostalgic, and just so Keaton.
Supergirl was fine. Nic Cage Superman was probably the highlight of all cameos.
I'm not sure why Jason Mamao filed that waste of an end credit scene but it did nothing but further hurt the Aquaman character.
It could have been cut down to about an hour and a half and I would have loved it. It could have included CW flash as a nod to its run and subsequent end, and it would have been better.
Ultimately it just felt like I was watching 2.5 hours of a long drawn out stoner joke that I just didn't seem to understand.
Champions (2023)
Very humbling
I really enjoyed this movie, it was a feel good movie and you could tell in the acting that everyone involved had such a wonderful time, none more so than woody harrelson, who continues to prove he is a good and kind man. The blooper track on this (presume there is one) has got to be amazing because there were so many jokes and laughs shared in my house, I can't imagine how many were shared on set.
It was a great feel good movie and it really made your heart leap for the amazing story to tell and the amazing memories the actors no doubt will treasure forever.
Give it a go, and enjoy.
I for one will be buying the dvd just to support the movie.
The Quarry (2022)
Loved it until I hated it-spoilers
Great game. Until the last 5 minutes when You try and choose the werewolf and of course I couldn't, then I used a revive to try again... still couldn't, used another revive cause kailyn is awesome and guess what... still couldn't shoot and kill the werewolf.
It was sincerely great until I was quite literally unable to save a character that I had grown fond of, and should be able to save, but couldn't multiple times.... Seriously, I love all the other games, I have bought and played all the other games, this one was so very promising and I greatly enjoyed it... until I really, really didn't... shame........to add to the pain... I was trying to save one of the characters and shooting a werewolf with silver was not the way to kill it.... I tried 3 times, I died 3 times.... I google it... something about a freezer... Then I want to restart the chapter, every time I go into the chapter it starts at this death scene and I need to go to a point before that. So I delete the chapter thinking I can restart it then but at least I can save the girl..... nope. Deleted the 17 hours I put into the game.
No Time to Die (2021)
Paloma, wonderful in theory...
But the second top billed person is in the movie for less than 10 minutes.
This movie did not have the Bond feel, if was predicable and had some sappy dialogue with new 007 requesting that Old 007 be able to use his call sign? Who cares? He's there to do a mission.
Anyways, waiting a long while to see this movie and after Nearly 3 hours, I was left disapppointed.
Moon Knight (2022)
Great cast, the rest fell flat
Having watched everything marvel has put out, this is by far the weakest and just uninteresting and confusing piece of work. The cast is amazing, they are known stars and masters of their craft, however the writing, the directing, screen plays, are all way off in a very jarring, time and space bending, way that provides little closure or explanation to the audience.
I waiting until I finished the show before commenting because I was hoping for a massive turn about, but rather found myself watching the show simply to see each episode, and the show ( now season) itself end.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
I was going to give it two...
But then the SPOILERS scene where she was in the white house against the wall, I found her very attractive and ofted to raise it two points solely based on that fact.
This movie was a watch checker. I kept checking to see when it would be over. It was goofy, not in a fun way, made very little scense and the villain, not not the madelorian Pedro Pascal, whom I adore, could save this movie. The CGI of Cheetah was terrible and her story arc was so very flawed for the 4 minutes we actually got of her.
Very dissappointed that I have to rewatch this movie with my wife, who was putting our kiddo to sleep.
It deserves to be a better movie, the actors deserved better writing and direction. The beautiful and amazingly talented Gal Gadot deserves better.
What a shame.
The Complex: Lockdown (2020)
Buy the game...why they made this a movie is beyond me.
If you're a fan of games, check this out, the complex offered a multitude of options for game play, I played them all. excited to see the movie and what choices it makes. As a movie....dang, horrible choice.
Aladdin (2019)
sadly this was a rush job or miscasting and horrible directorship
Everything felts small and Bollywood, for being the middle east. felt like I was watching a b film remake of Arabian Nights, not Aladdin from the Disney family. way to kill a childhood of mine...save your money for Lion King.
