Six Years Gone (2022)

Creeps up on you

This film gently draws you in and you have to see it through to the end. Even that is a gentle conclusion. Leaving you wanting more but also letting you draw your own ending. The main actress portrays her part brilliantly and beautifully. No special Hollywood effects here, just a beautifully shot film. A film that has that unscripted feel to it. Let the actors grow into the characters. Two later characters manage to give you hope for an early conclusion to the main story. They arrive with not good intentions. The main character has her own challenges too, challenges to do the best for her daughter.

Amazingly easy to get into straight away. Don't worry if you're struggling a bit, lots of catch ups to be found in the s episodes that you piece together yourself. Trust No One Flynne and The Truth Is Out There saud a wise man. Kick Ass well and truly kicked way out of sight! Chloe is absolutely brilliant. The fx are pretty dam good. I haven't read the book, in fact didn't know it was from a book. So well lifted to be put onto the small screen. Brilliant. Helps in my case London a main place being used and seeing I've not long visited by accident the places filmed. A strong cast and a strong story. Stick with it. You will be glad you did.

It's just great fun. Lovely one liners. Pure fun. All the actors play along with this story. And enjoy the ride. Jokes are every where. Comic book fun.

The Domestics (2018)

Beats Quiet Place 2 hands down. Start and ending to the film. Great fun too. Entertaining. Good effects. 👍

Penance Lane (2020)

I couldn't believe or connect with any of the actors or characters. Even in the coffee shop it just wasn't believable. It was more like a read through. Guess all the cast wanted a new swimming pool and agreed to do the film. Sorry not good.

Gretel & Hansel (2020)

Strangely disturbing

A film that you can fill in the blanks from your own imagination. Loosely following the story Hansel and Gretel. The soundtrack certainly adds to the film. It's not an ott typical USA film. Using the fantastic scenery of Ireland, that can be made to be very haunting. My only criticism is sometimes the sound of dialogue is not clear enough and difficult to understand a few mumbled lines. Otherwise watchable.

Wonder Woman (2017)

If you like fun films..nothing taxing and enjoy pure hokum entertainment...this is for you. Loved it all... read some of the reports and then looked again 23 awards.... says a lot. Go open minded and enjoy

So many times in this one especially Jennifer Lawrence goes from brown to black hair ..make up to no make up walking through a door shot... plump to thin... ok 4 films but too many issues....
