Replicas (2018)
A good "Replica"
The movie is like one of those clones featured in the story: it has all the elements of a good plot, yet, it doesn't feel like a good one. I still find the concept very interesting.
There are too many things happening in a short period of time, and there are so many plot points that require very emotional reactions. Unfortunely, Reeves's acting it's always a hit or miss, and this was definitely not a hit.
The Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson (2019)
Objectively Not as Bad
Unlike other reviews I'm not judging this movie based on whether or not I believe O.J. did it.
It's an interesting take and at least this time the focus is on Nicole and not on O.J. and the subject of race.
The Haunting of Sharon Tate (2019)
Misunderstood (A dream within a dream)
The movie starts and ends with Sharon talking to someone, we never know who (maybe God), about the dream she had, it's a fantasy. Occasionally the movie inserts real life footage to make the distiction between fantasy and reality.
It had to be exploitative in order to show us the true horror and maybe exagerate things to put us in her situation. And they gave her a proper send off.
