The Father (2020)
Straight up, a movie for old fogies.
If you are under the age of 60 save yourself 2 hours and watch something else. It was really tough to get through this. A very long, boring, and drawn out slow death of an old man with zero personality, and his family members also with zero personality. I would not even recommend this movie to the old people in my life. Hopkins did act well as always, but it didn't matter.
Pig (2021)
"Where is my pig?" *Nicolas Cage Angry Voice*
Oooh nice pig, good pig, who you? You take my pig? Where my pig? Pig? Pig? You take my pig? No you, you take my pig? Who take my pig? Here, I know secret tunnel to underground restaurant fight club, you take my pig? Oh it was you who took my pig. I break into your house and cook you a dinner so good it make you cry. Can I has Pig back now?
Raised by Wolves (2020)
Why don't we add a flying snake monster!?
Half decent until the producer who kept saying 'what this show needs is a flying snake monster' finally got his way.
The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth (2016)
A case study on the tactics of misinformation
Everything but the facts! You get the rumours, the accusations, the anecdotal evidence, and as many straw men as they can knock down in a segment. This is not a documentary. Beware.
1917 (2019)
A War Movie for Millenials
You know how you kind of hate Frodo (LOTR) for being such a wimp? Well instead of Frodo and Sam, this movie gives you Frodo and Frodo. Beta males getting the job done in WWI! An unlikely recreation, mostly because the movie is just scene after scene of two witless morons traversing across open plains, taking no caution or cover, chatting, giggling, and pulling each others hair like little girls while deep into unknown enemy territory. An incredible let down; don't waste your time.
Watchmen (2019)
Truly Shameful
A disgusting piece. Enough of this please. Just make a TV series that isn't trying to tell me how to think.
The Upside (2017)
One of the Best of the Decade
One of Brian Cranston's best performances, and Kevin Hart's best performance. Perfectly cast; amazing story. Kevin Hart was a little Kevin Harty at a few points in this film, but not enough that it would make me take a star away from this 10 star rating. Bad reviews of this movie are either soulless people or snooty fools that don't want to be seen as 'low class' for liking a remake of a popular French film. A must watch in my book. Thank you.
A.I. Rising (2018)
125mins of Pure Trash - Read for the Truth (no super spoily spoilers)
Man goes on a solo space mission to Alpha Centauri and gets to bring a robot sex slave with him. The first hour of this movie is the man having sex with the robot over and over and over again, then he finds a way to give her sentience, and with her new sentience she decides to stop having sex with him, he gets depressed about that, then the sex robot gets sad about the man being depressed, so she kills herself, end of movie. No real plot, low budget, poor set construction, poor casting, plot holes and inconsistencies galore, and an utterly misleading title. 1/10 DO NOT WATCH! Thank you for reading.
A Star Is Born (2018)
A perfect example of what music has become in the 21st century.
Dear Bradley Cooper,
It takes more than being drunk all the time to be poetic.
Dear Lady Gaga,
You have been famous so long, you obviously forgot what it was like to not be famous. Please never try acting again.
This is a sad and pathetic tale of famous people romanticizing their own shallow empty lives. If you love music, don't watch this movie. Just filth for the masses.
