The Valet (2022)
I don't write reviews EVER, but.
As a 37 year old man who can hardly stand most romantic comedies, I found this one to be very watchable, with a great story as well as solid acting from both main characters. I'd seen Weaving in Nine Perfect Strangers which I really enjoyed, but I'd never seen Derbez in anything but they both worked very well together and while this film might not make a load of money or get a lot of attention, it's one I'll gladly watch again. I know I'm a terrible reviewer, but let me just say to all the guys out there who are looking for a good hearted romantic comedy they can watch with their wife or girlfriend, this is a solid one that won't make you cringe, or immediately watch Saving Private Ryan afterward.
Vh1's My True Crime Story (2021)
As a big "True Crime" fan,
This could have been just fine, it might have even been pretty good if it weren't for the absolute CRINGE narration of Remy Ma and the horrible lines she feels she has to insert into the stories. This should would be so much more enjoyable if they just told the story and didn't have the totally obnoxious dialogue from Remy Ma.
Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer (2021)
One of, if not the BEST documentaries of a Seriel Killer I've ever seen
From the very beginning until the very end of this mini series, I was glued. The episodes started out intriguing, and at the end of each of the 4 part series, I wanted to keep watching. I watched the whole thing in one day, and by the end of it, I was wiping tears from my eyes. The two top detectives working on this case, Frank Salerno and Gil Carrillo, are the definition of the word "Hero" in my eyes for the countless hours of work they put in to stop such an evil presence in the world and I have the utmost respect for them. Quoting the comedy movie "Airplane", "Some of us here, particularly me, would like to buy *them* a drink and shake their hand.
Animaniacs (2020)
Way to ruin what was once a classic cartoon.
I really looked forward to seeing this in 2020 as I grew up on the old version as a kid (and I loved it), but this is clearly a political/woke garbage fest. You don't have to push past the lyrics in their new "intro" to know where this is going. How very disappointing.
Moonbase 8 (2020)
I'm glad I didn't dismiss this based on poor ratings
If you know anything about the 3 main actors in this show, you should know what to expect, and if you like these guys and their sense of humor in their other roles, I think you'll enjoy this show. I really liked it and think it deserves better ratings than it has, but I can see how it may not be for everyone.
