Murder on the Orient Express (2017)
World Famous Polunin Ballet Dancer The Best
OK... so I am a ballet fan & went to see Sergei Polunin who is one of the worlds most famous male dancers (youngest dancer to be promoted to principal dancer in Royal Ballet in London many years ago). Bravo Sergei on his acting role & had great flexibility to do a quick awesome fight scene. He takes everything very seriously and branching out to acting, modeling, yet still dances. I wish he appeared more, but whatever...great cast.....loved all the costumes, makeup, mountain snow scenes.... & will watch original movie to compare, but why, to put down? So, no, think I won't watch the original, for now. Was a fun night out w/ my family.
You Were Never Really Here (2017)
You Were Never Really Here as I Hid Behind My Hands
Ok so I saw at Sundance FF last Jan. Could not wait to see Joaquin. I managed to watch the entire film after gross hammer killing scenes and walked out thinking, "What the heck just happened in the film??". So, me personally, love films that make me really question it (WTF was that all about), even though scenes were slow, dark, depressing & hard to believe. I had since forgotten about the film since Jan., till now, so w/ wanting to see how films do after Sundance, have enjoyed reading all reviews and still wonder WTF was that film all about , incest, of course, which is sick, but the real truth? Not sure, but was a fun night out. I saw it, liked the ending , but will NOT recommend to my hubby. Why, 'cause he's Mr. Blockbuster & I am into artsy/ off beat type films. I thought the acting was good. Don't think it will do well in theaters.
Deep in the Darkness (2014)
Perfect Lazy Friday Day Horror Flick
Am not one to watch horror films, but after recording it a few days before decided to watch in daytime in my home office. Was not 100% present to watching it, but if I thought I missed something, I rewound & watched again. Kind of bloody, kind of silly, kind of scary, but passed the time enough for me to want to look up all the info on this film on IMDb. Director seems to have his niche and good actors seem to have nice careers. So...bottom line.....I wonder if there will be a D in D 2 ? I doubt it, but would I watch it? Yes!
