Istanbul Için Son Çagri (2023)
Enchanting Chemistry and Missed Opportunities
Intrigued by the palpable chemistry between Kivanc and Beren, I found myself engaged throughout the film. Their on-screen connection is undeniable, leaving me hopeful for future collaborations between the two.
While the plot held my attention, I couldn't shake the feeling that it only scratched the surface of its potential depth. It felt like a snippet from a TV show rather than a fully developed cinematic narrative. The opening scenes teased an intriguing premise, raising questions about the characters' motivations-would it be a forbidden romance or a fleeting affair?
Personally, I couldn't help but imagine a more intricate storyline involving Mehmet and a mysterious medical condition affecting his memory. Perhaps he struggled to remember Serin as his wife, leading to a poignant exploration of love, loss, and rediscovery. This alternate plotline could have added layers to the narrative, creating a more memorable viewing experience.
Despite this missed opportunity for a deeper exploration, the film is still worth a watch. The undeniable charisma between the lead actors and the initial intrigue make it an enjoyable experience. However, it falls short of leaving a lasting impression, and you may find yourself moving on to the next cinematic adventure without lingering thoughts about this particular movie.
Black Mirror: Beyond the Sea (2023)
Ending could have been better executed
Overall this episode reminded me of USS Calister, which IMO was a piece of art. I had such high hopes in the beginning and I kinda liked the direction of the story as the episode progressed.
However, I have a better idea regarding the end.
Obviously, David almost lost his mind given the fact that he is on the space and he has got important things to do for the next God knows how many months or years. We never really know anything about the mission or the length of the mission. Hence, we do not really know for how long he is going to be drifted away on the space with his partner/co-pilot. Extremely frustrating given the fact that he has lost his entire family in front of him.
And then we see David exploiting the benefits of Cliff and his wife gave him. Just as expected from the ''Black Mirror''.
At the end, we see that David murders Cliffs entire family without a blink so that they both suffers the same pain on the ship. What a selfish move.
Coming to the alternate ending, since that we see David is so selfish and a prick, he could have been stage something that would send Cliff to his nearly dead Replica back in earth which is not capable of moving, just sitting there like a statue. Not being able to transfer to his original body in the space ship, either. Stuck forever. Whereas David replacing Cliff and visiting his wife and kids, doing whatever he wants for the next months or years. He could even make love to her this way.
The Witcher: Four Marks (2019)
Stunning
I truely do not understand how this particular episode was rated below than avarage compated to other episodes. The smoothness of the timelines, Yennefer's extraordinary efforts to defend home, the spark of her long lost connection to Tissaia because of the fact that they fought side by side, and finally Gerald's final destination to old farmhouse which Ciri currectly resides. After all, ''People linked by destiny will always find each other''. The look in their eyes and the moment they hug, is just priceless.
Recep Ivedik 5 (2017)
Waste of Time
I thought this was at least going to be a pop-corn time for me and my friend but it turned out such a mistake. First of all, it is possible for you to realize the plot is nothing but a 10-minutes-work. It doesn't have any quality or whatsoever, it is written only for sitting and watching.
It was kind of funny to see the early characters in KAKA-DER(Karaambar Kamyoncular Derneği) but the plot is so cliché that you cannot enjoy the characters. Recep Ivedik 5 contains fart jokes just like the early films. I did not enjoy the film, would not recommend it.
