The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Take the blue pill! This just a cash grab
Where to start? It's 2021 and the visual effects don't even hold a candle to the first 3. If your going to keep with a series, you gotta hold some of the guts. I love this series. But I literally just watched the movie and can't remember any of it. Well. The falling bodies scene was cool but that's about as original as this film gets. Story line sucked. Visually could not stay interested. It's John Wick 9 basically. Sad and forced. Zero originality. Total cash grab for everyone. And a huge fail for the new watchowki sister now I guess. Which sucks because I got mad respect for the roots of this flick!
The Blackwell Ghost (2017)
Of all the "goats docus" out there, this one was pretty good
I'm a huge skeptic of films capturing the paranormal, but this was actually pretty good. Is it real, who knows. But I can say this. I've watched hundreds of horror and paranormal movies. In fact it's, something of that nature is on, pretty much 24/7 at the house. This seemed believable! I don't know why it's rated this low but I give it a solid 8.
The Lords of Salem (2012)
Unfortunately, the best part of this movie, is when the credits roll...
Yes, it's true. The best part of this movie is when the credits come up. For 2 minutes the movie is wrapped up in a way that makes sense. Trust me it's no spoiler alert. It's just for us assholes that sat thru this entire piece of crap, actually aren't left feeling like such duche bags for sitting thru this thing. Actually the only reason I did was the glimmer of hope I would see Rob Zombies wife naked again.
Wow. That woman can sure make crazy look sexy. Anyways, bottom line here is simple. Do not watch this movie. We've all been so impressed with the work Rob Zombie has done for horror, by being behind the camera, but this movie was WAY off the mark! Which is surprising in all reality because those who have actually listened to interviews with Rob, he is a highly intellectual person! Listen to his Howard Stern Interviews!
It would seem that Rob only released this movie to take advantage of his fans. It's not like him to release something so shitty. He's a perfectionist and he knew for sure this movie was a failure. Hopefully the case is that he needed money to make a real good movie and this was simply funding for that, by us, the fans.
I definitely want my money back for this one!! If the movie was about how hot Sharon Moon is, it gets a 8/9 for sure! And she didn't even show "down there". But the movie is not based on that and the only thing it does have going for it, is the fact that Sharon moon is naked.
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989)
One of the best comedies & Christmas Movies Of All Time
Quite simply put this is one of the MUST WATCH Christmas movies. If you have any sort of DVD/blueray collection, this is one of those MUST HAVES for your collection.
Its a movie you can watch all year round! Kids to Adults will love this movie. They honestly just don't make comedies like this anymore. Its wholesome yet has plenty of "adult" humor in it to appeal to the masses.
Christmas Vacation runs the gammet of emotions. Laughter to crying. There are even a few tense.. **Scary** moments. Like when the door bell rings and the family is at the door. Most of us can attest to the horrors of having family over for Christmas. And that first nock at the door or doorbell ring send a horrific chill through your spine. And though many of us dread certain family members, we forge ahead in the spirit of the season and tolerate the often UN-tolerable in our family.
This movie is A+ in my book and receives an astounding 9 stars of 10!
Blues Brothers 2000 (1998)
As a 10 star fan of the original, I gave this a 3!
It is plain as day that this movie was simply made to ride the coat tails of the original and "hope" and "PRAY" that everyone who loved the original would rush out to see this. I did and this was one of only 2 movies I've EVER walked out of!
The other movie I walked out of, The re-release of 'The Original Exorcist'. The only reason I walked out of that movie was because it scared the holy hell out of me. With that said, I guess 'The Blues Brothers 2000' did as well.
I love movies. Good, bad, B movies, block busters, I give them all a chance and enjoy with an open mind. This movie was almost an insult to movie goers the world over. And the budget for the film was decent! Almost $30 mil! But turning the blues brothers into zombies? Tossing in a kid for "family appeal"? And a car that is basically like night rider?
If you watch this movie at all, do yourself a favor and fast forward to the end. THE ONLY GREAT THING ABOUT THIS MOVIE.... Is the closing Battle Of The Bands. I'm not spoiling anything here. All I will say is the music is great and seeing all those amazing musicians made watching this over again, worth it. But like I said. Just fast forward to the end. For all the amazing movies big Dan has done, he definitely regrets letting his fans down with this pile of steaming Hollywood "hey they loved the original, lets make money with a remake" flop fest.
