A hot dumpster fire
25 December 2022
I have watched 2 and half episodes. That's as much as I can stomach.

Writing is very poor. Acting for most parts is very poor. The show doesn't seem to have anything tying it together, there's no pulling weight in the cast nor in the story and the writing.

Witcher's magic and success was devotion to the character, but this travesty has none of it. It just falls flat. I would have a more interesting dialogue with my toilet, that's how bad it is.

I tried giving it a fair shot. I truly did, because anything Witcher excites me, but this is has none of Witcher's creativity or magic.

What I wanted to see? Proper character growth. Actors immersing in their characters. At least some resemblance of a storyline. The Witcher: Blood Origin delivers none of it.

Don't waste your time on this.

Refreshing new series with strong cast
12 September 2019
Just finished watching the season. One of the best new shows HBO has offered in a long while. The lead actress is especially good, but the cast over all is good. I think just 6 episode season was made to test the audience; if we are willing to watch it. Hoping for season two :)

Refreshing!
18 March 2013
Warning: Spoilers
*CONTAINS SPOILERS*

I find it very refreshing the show starts off with a completely different view than TWD for example. We get to step into the zombie shoes; lead actor's humanity is re-installed by medication and we follow his rehabilitation back to society. As expected, it doesn't go nice and smooth.

We get to see humanity from a perspective most of us would not think to think on our own and I believe this is one of the strong points the show has.

The cast seems great and I'm very much looking forward to the next episode.

Bad writing, even worse acting
3 October 2012
The writing of the series is bad, but it might have still cut it for me if there wasn't for the Matheson kids, especially Charlie portrayed by Tracey Spiridakos. Unfortunately Tracey just doesn't know how to act and unfortunately she is one of the main actors. Her lines are monotonic and the character lacks any depth. She looks pretty all right, but fails to bring any on screen credibility to the character. I would think even Kimi Räikkönen is more expressive.

I tried giving this a shot for as much as watching the 3rd episode since there are some gems in this cast such as Elizabeth Mitchell & Billy Burke, but even they cannot put the show together.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I wanted to like it for the great idea, but the execution is one of the worst ones for the new series I've watched 2012.
