The Mountain Between Us (2017)
Quite a surprise
I didn't expect the ending and was quite surprised in a good way.
The chemistry between the two actors is penetrating. I love the fact that the woman is very emotionally strong and the man is physically strong. So when they team together, they survive.
At the end of the scene when Kate's heart was aching....I just really love that scene. Every woman could probably experience w her at that moment.
Sein letztes Rennen (2013)
very touching and real
I was pleasantly surprised when i saw this movie on the plane. the situation of old people is real and sad, but the movie put a positive spin in it. looking at my own parents aging, i identified with the movie in so many ways. the nursing home is very nice from an architectural point of view. my favorite scene is when they went to register for the marathon, it's too late unless he met two exceptions. that scene was hilarious. the runner forgot when and the wife remember it like yesterday. the bond between the husband and wife is nicely presented....i cried over it. the wife reminded me of my own mother, like most mothers, she's loving, caring and supportive of her husband even she didn't agree with him initially.
Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor (2013)
the story just doesn't make sense
the movie was quite beautifully made, so i gave a three star and the story line was quite a surprise at the end even though everything else was very predictable.
the Judith character just doesn't make sense. i don't know what got into the mind of the story write or does/he know how a woman with ambition of her career just doesn't turn into a crack-head in a few days. why someone with that kind of ambition becomes an drug user within just a few days. if she was Ava to begin with...then the whole story line really make sense. or maybe the movie should say Judith had a bipolar disorder. the whole story line was so make believe without really understand what it takes to be successful. and who on earth would expect their career to take off after working less than 3 years? she supposedly to have a master degree, so she went to college and go straight to graduate school that's totally 6 years. 18+6= 24 years old. did the write know how long does it take to get a master degree. if she's in her mid 30s then this would have made a whole lot more sense. i am convinced the story write got no education at all.
and the billionaire - he's a billionaire so he could afford to invest in the matchmaker and Judith's career. it's not like he's buying a huge piece of land in Manhattan and build a 100 story high rise. it seems like this movie is made for someone who doesn't have any sense of how this world work or grew up in a desert island.
and why most of T.Perry's movies are about women betraying their husbands for a rich man????
