Chasing Leprechauns (2012)
Why doesn't Hallmark make them like this anymore
I watch a lot of Hallmark movies. A few I change immediately. Most I watch and then I look up the reviews here. I'm off and surprised at the negative reviews of shows I like. Hallmark was once known for their Hall of Fame movies that were superior. Then there are movies like this that are so good I don't really want to call it cute. But the characters are so much better than most current homework movie characters. So if you want to see what homework used to be able to make this is a good one!!
Road Less Traveled (2017)
Better than others let on
I think The male actors in this did a great job all likable and lovable. The Charlene tilton character babs is the low point. But Grandma is pretty mean. The supporting actresses at first are nasty but soften with their country experience. The lead actress is beautiful, acts better than other people are saying and can sing heart-wrenchingly good. She had great chemistry with the fiance and the ex-boyfriend.
Paris, Wine & Romance (2019)
Beautiful scenery
I don't think some people understand how casting works. The movie and casting happens awhile before they film. Your actress ends up pregnant so you hide it as best you can. They ,generally are not replacing her just because she's pregnant. It happens on TV shows all the time! And she was not hugely pregnant at all. It just dawned on me part way through that maybe she had given birth recently or was newly pregnant. She isn't my favorite hallmark actress though. I find her voice a little off-putting, so sometimes I watch her movies and sometimes I don't. I really enjoyed the Paris scenery. It was a difference from the usual snowy town, cupcake shop or winery. Thank goodness it didn't take place at the winery the whole show! They need to come up with a different idea than winery movies.
In the Key of Love (2019)
It's playing while I'm doing other things
Why do they hire these actresses with squeaky annoying voices! The lead isn't to awful but all the women around her (except the bride) are terrible sounding. Absolutely makes the movie unenjoyable and unwatchable. I'm doing some of my crafting and this is playing in the background I really do not care what happens It's just noise!
Notes from Dad (2013)
From 2013 back when Hallmark still made good movies
Don't get me wrong I watch the silly Hallmark romance movies everyday. But I really miss the heartfelt quality movies they used to make. This could be one of the last one of those. Great cast, well acted, likeable characters and developed many of the characters. It's worth seeing for sure.
Love, Take Two (2019)
Better than average Hallmark movie
Unlike other reviewers I didn't think there was zero chemistry. I'm so thankful there wasn't some annoying voiced lead character, like actress Leah Renee. I'm glad to see some diversity in the actors. The male lead reminded me of Dule Hill with that smooth voice and look, That's a good thing!! Lead actress was very attractive and not Uber skinny like a lot of their actresses. It's a Hallmark movie and you never expect a lot and this was better than a lot of them.
Love, Romance & Chocolate (2019)
It's the best Lacey's look
My husband always says she reminds him of Jennifer Love Hewitt. Then I remind him they played siblings on a show. I think in most movies they underplay her beauty as if to make her look a little less attractive than she is. But this movie she looks stunning! I'm so happy to see this change for her. It's a sweet story and the setting is stunning. I enjoy most of her movies she doesn't have an annoying voice, she's not a another blonde from Hallmark's stash.
