The Peripheral (2022)
Reluctant to give it a chance, but glad I did
I was reluctant to give this a chance, but boy am I glad I did. I think I held me breath the entire first half of the second episode. This is probably, if not the best, one of the best shows I have seen in a very very long time. If you are reluctant, just watch the first episode. It only took one episode and a couple of cocky smiles and I was hooked. Everything about this show is perfect. I cannot think of anything wrong with it. The whole premises, every single thing about this show is exactly what I've been missing in new shows here lately. PERFECTION. It's perfect. I'll probably up the score to ten, later one, but now I am hooked.
Halloween Ends (2022)
Worst movie ever
I am so sad over how bad this movie was. The other two were okay. Halloween kills have me horrible anxiety because of the mob mentality, but I literally sat for 20 minutes after this movie was over and still cannot believe what I watched. People hate on the rob zombie remake but both of those put this movie to shame. Anyone who says it is good is flat out lying. I'm not the type to jump on bashing things bandwagons, so for me to say it was bad, is bad. So disappointed. I'll just keep my zombie remakes............. Hated it. Hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate..........., why? Just why? This is way too many characters.
Monster (2022)
At a loss for words.
I expected a charismatic, manipulative Evan Peters as the cannibalistic Jeff coming into the show. We got that, but it was portrayed in a way that took the focus from Jeff and showed the pain and chaos that were derived from his actions. It painted serial killers as they should be, monsters. Kevin and Niecey were both SPECTACULAR. Kevin's performance as Lionel Dahmer, will go down in my book as one of the best performances of my lifetime. When he walked into the room and the medical examiner pulled the cloth from Jeff's face, I BELIEVED him. When his head popped to the side and frowned, I believed he was a father who just saw their dead son's body. SUPERB.
They/Them (2022)
So disappointed.
I love both Kevin and Anna and was going into this film with an open mind. Because, like, how could something be this bad? I am not even sure it deserves the three stars i gave it. It was brutally bad. Brutal. Not only was it bad, but borderline (extremely) offensive? Just no.
The Summer I Turned Pretty (2022)
I don't understand why everyone is so angry 😂😅
This show is great. I've been teetering one the edge of boredom for a while now. Only really watching stuff that I've watched before, especially since I finished the handmaiden's tale. Now, I'm not saying this live up to that, but it's good. Especially if you love the type of story and I do. I'm team Jeremiah all the way, but I still love me some Connie. It's good acting, with some serious things hidden in the story line. I'm glad I gave it a chance.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)
Loved it
I loved it. Sigh. The goodness in the movie was special. Jude Law will forever be one of my favorites. Eddie Redmayne is a wonderful actor. I like Mads Mikkealson, I loved him in Hannibal, but I wish they hadn't have forced Depp out, it could have been so successful.
Halloween (2007)
Unpopular opinion
This is my favorite Halloween movie. I love the aspect of showing him as a child.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020)
I don't u set stand the hate
This is literally what it would be like during a zombie outbreak and kids were sheltered away from it. They're learning new stuff on their own and I kinda like it. Sure it isn't as good as the other two shows, but what can you expect? Still better than a 4.2 rating. People can be so petty.
Summer of 84 (2018)
Perfectly fine little horror flick
A lot of movies here lately aren't very good. I love the teenage clique horror genre and this was way better than I thought it would be.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992)
My dad hates this movie...
My dad hates this movie. I watched it so much as a child he literally gets angry when I bring it up. I love this movie. Everything about it. Will forever be my all time number one.
Fear Street: 1978 (2021)
Part 2 better than the first
I'm glad I decided to give part 2 a try. I didn't like part 1 very well, but 2 definitely made up for it. I love the whole summer camp person gone crazy story, even if it has been used five million times. This was pretty good.
The Handmaid's Tale (2017)
So glad I gave a second chance
I tried watching this once and never could get past the second episode. For whatever reason I decided to randomly try and watch it again and omg I am so happy I did. If Elizabeth Moss isn't the best actress in this century and the last, I'd kiss someone's booty. People will remember her for a long time.
I love the dystopia/apocalypse type stories and although this may be more mature than what I'm used to. 100% recommend.
WandaVision (2021)
Get past the first few eps.... Trust me.
If I had quit watching after the first episode and missed out on this masterpiece, it would have been a travesty. I love anything Marvel and this just gives me that little slice of heaven I needed after the last movie. I was devastated and this is beautiful.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)
Great show for MCU fans
I love both Bucky and Sam and always wished I could see more of them in the movies and this delivers beautifully. I feel like all the bad reviews are from people who literally complain over everything.... almost as if it's their job.
