True Lies (2023)
2/10
Unbearable to watch.
14 August 2023
Huge shoes to fill and I feel they didn't even try. Extremely bad casting choices, no chemistry between the two and they just didn't "fit" into their roles. Too many gadgets for me on the edge of being campy. I made it through 2.5 episodes and had to shut it off the writing and dialog was so bad and cheesy. I alway had high hopes for a TV version of the hit movie, unfortunately this was it and ruined it for anything else to come. How can Hollywood get so much so wrong with one TV show. CBS should be embarrassed and reminded this why people are only watching streaming services now. I'll be going back.

What could have been.
10 April 2022
This movie had the potential to be so much more. I barely rated it a seven. Newton is a great actress, but in this role I feel she was flat and I never felt any chemistry between her and Pine. Bad direction and casting. A definite shame, this could have been a great movie, instead it was just good.

Guy Ritchie at his best (... but)
27 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
One of Guy Ritchie's best. I won't write a whole review, other reviewers covered most it. I, personally just felt that the last few minutes was anticlimactic between Eastwood and Stratham. Otherwise a solid 8 and I highly recommend.

1970s Mini-Series?
25 January 2022
What a complete disaster. Poor casting choices. Poor set lighting. Poor set design. This feels like I'm watching a mini-series from the 1970s, production quality is awful. This should never be compared or associated with Downton Abbey.

Yawn

Beautifully filmed. Tragically executed. With such a talented cast why was the acting so one dimensional and wooden? I honestly couldn't wait until it was over. No chemistry between the two great looking leads, and very weak story arc.

Watching paint dry is more interesting than this. I thought it would never end.

What a waste of talent
15 October 2020
Complete disaster of a movie. Only reason I gave it 6 stars instead of 4 is because of the incredible (wasted) talent. Geena Davis and Common's acting was so bad it borderline cringe worthy.

Downton Abbey x10
9 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
If you liked the TV series you will love the movie. Beautifully filmed and music in phenomenal. My reasons for not giving it a 10 is, It should have been about 30 minutes longer, and I would have liked for them to explore the storyline of Branson finally finding someone. I truly hope there is another movie

Better than I expected.
14 August 2020
Much better than I expected. A very well done Hallmark movie. Although, I feel the ending was a little rushed. I feel, if done correctly, could be a Netflix series.

Beyond Boring

This movie goes absolutely nowhere, acting is mediocre at best. Kate Walsh is completely wasted in this movie. My rating of 5 Stars is even pushing it.

Jumped the shark
4 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I found the first few seasons great! Admittedly it's light entertainment, but I feel it jumped the shark when Henry goes from Professor to heading a CIA Intel group and going on covert missions. SMH I enjoyed 'Commander in Chief' and 'Polital Animals' better. Once Bebe Neuwirth left it all went downhill.

The movie that almost could...
25 July 2020
This movie could have been so much more. It failed on so many levels. Joan Cusack is completely wasted in this movie, she's Hollywood Gold and she's just basically 'there' Secondary even though the soundtrack music is good, it didn't fit the movie or feeling of the moment at all? Who ITF chose this? I found all the acting flat. Very cute movie that should have been more.

WTF just happened?
29 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This movie surprised me and I was actually enjoying it, despite the bad rating. I was ready to give it an 8.0 rating, then the ending happened WTF just happened, or didn't happen. A solid movie just ruined by a cliche ending. Only reason I'm giving this a 6.0 is because of Ramon Torres great depiction of a tormented gay man.

The Same
26 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I loved this movie and it had similarities to 'Boys' But why does every gay romantic film need to have a sad ending?
