Perfect Days (2023)

A charming urban sight.
29 April 2024
But the plot is limited to flathering scarcity, creating an imaginary world where not only one public bathroom is any dirty, stinks or is at least a bit repugnant.

Where an elderly cleaner has absolutely no problem in life, his job seems easy most of the time, and just not when it is to the public feel negatively his personal and professional situation, when suddenly some smudges appear on his uniform. Even in this occasion he openly smiles however, and then, subsequently he utters the life's biggest moral lessons: people are different and probably there will be some eccentric and happy ones.

Taking this away it was a quite cool and disguised tourism publicity for Tokyo undeniably.

Poor Things (2023)

Furiously boring.

Everyone knows that when it comes to fantasy any idiocy is possible, but why did it demand so much nonsense to talk about sexuality and women's rights?

How can someone make this matter so dubious and ridiculous, needing to mix up Frankstein with Disney princess tales that made it seem like it was written by chatGPT with the prompt: "write a movie that sells containing surrealism, sex and subliminal critique".

And it's not about the message, if there is any valuable in fact, but the pace, the script, actings, soundtrack, it's all a pain in the eyes, ears and in the brain.

It's almost impractical to give proper attention with all that explicit content for a cloudy, confusing, kind of criticism aiming to say that women must have their rights respected to have sex and to keep their clitoris..

Women's rights surely deserve better educative content.

Pedagogical.

The unfortunate occurances reported in this fictional picture are unequivocaly realistically expressed by direction and acting performances.

Screenplay flows naturaly even though all the dazed and turbulent party scenes.

It perfectly drives the message with apparently no effort, it all rolls pretty organic, the characters are deeply honest, well incorporated and feel very familiar.

In other words this work completely fulfills it's purpose, provoking feelins and inducing reflective thought about human behavior and society conventions.

This movie will probably taste bitter as much as the most of essential contents.

One more overall flop by Scorcese.

Not to call a total disaster..

But terrible script, screenplay and most evidently, the gross editing that mixed clumsy scenes like nothing and also being so slow, disconnected and unclear becoming very inarticulate and painly boring.

In this way the movie actually belittle and depreciate the promising plot and decisively spoil a nice book.

It´s even worse concerning the important historic cause that was brought to light by the original art piece.

A stellar cast and big industry names can´t make a great filme by their own, as you might see here or in "The Irishman", another absolut disappointment.

This refined work piece is just mandatory for any art lover

One of the best Brazilian documentaries of all times about art in general, not just because of it's amazing and moving story but it's extraordinary care about production in the smallest details.

It shows pronouncedly a very meticulous, sensitive and ripe work of art direction, execution, redaction, editing and finishing as well.

It goes much further than bring up a whole lot of historic documents, artistic raw media, news, photos, unique and rare collectibles, but it almost entirely digs up on Brazilian Black movement, history and culture regarding to that specific period so responsibly that it gave result to this magnificent work about the most important, popular and iconic music group in the country.

For sure they are much more than that, as it's exposed by the film.. they are opinion makers, educators, fashion creators, influencers in it's true and original concept, these guys transformed minds, worlds and culture.

If someone doesn't admire this revolutionary phenomenon called Racionais Mc's it's probably tainted by the disgrace of racism!

Educative material for white kids.

It was nice to watch the young Di Caprio and Mark Wahlberg in their effort to make it all seem really intense but they sounded quite naive as the script also does.

Despite the important theme, most parts seemed very juvenile and unrealistic.

Very stupid.

This movie was undeniably visually well produced and has a nice soundtrack.

Anne Bancroft performed brilliantly and William Daniels did a good job too.

But it simply doesn't have any substance, the plot is terrible and not remotely believable.

It's totally maniac such as the main character, it keeps rushing to nowhere and can't even be a little funny.

It's for sure an antiquated and sexist portrayal of society even for the time it was released, it entirely insults intelligence.

This artpiece is not just entertaining, it's history, although there may be some inaccuracies it brings lots of information about real life events that changed the world profoundly and can let people think, remember and understand the importance of knowing the truth in order to make any judgement about society, politics and their own lives.

Poor script.

It's valuable as a historically inspired content, and it's visually well done, actings are honest but plot and screenplay fall substantially short wasting a great opportunity.

Nothing much.

A movie about triviality which kind of banalizes the life of a hollywood famous in an attempt to show it's humanity. It's visually appealing and it flows enough to not be considered boring.

Super cool.

It could go deeper about art essencially and Basquiat's huge work and legacy, but it's great as a movie especially because it doesn't shy away from criticizing, it just spends too much time in the love and personal relations stories.

A very interesting historical movie about the artist. It gives attention to him personally and artistically in an unconventional way of footaging which makes it different and nicer.

Tipical brazilian kind of cinema and everyday story.

It's not that visually appealing or well finished but it sincerely tells, actually the poor photography and messed executing probably contributes for the overall aspect of the nasty content.

Spectacular film making and storytelling.
1 August 2022
Another film which makes justice to the great 7th art.

This movie is a pearl, greatly done in every aspects, script, footage, directing, performing. It's clearly a refined job, it's sensitive and revolting but still temperate, it can be heavy and light and tells a hard and ineluctable event that needs to be known in a very skilled way of filming.

Not a bad movie for sure, it's interesting and it shows a very particular sight and culture in a realistic and raw way but it's better indicated for teenagers.

Nicely done job, well executed, performed and directed but the plot and script are so fantasious and streched that it just can't sound natural or posible at all.

A devout tale.
22 July 2022
Undeniably well produced and executed filming and pretty inteliggent script especially considering this piece's age.

It won some oscars and the first golden globes, but the story is not more than a vulgar, tragic religious fable about miracles.

It shows since that time and much before how the powerful sectors in society manipulate and persecute people according to their interests.

Art and History being made!
19 July 2022
Greatly produced documentary about this geniously produced music event.

It's a must see for those who appreciate art, music, history. Especially brazilians!

They avoid to talk about politics in the movie or take any sides, but the truth speaks louder..

A nice movie that tells a not uncommum story about how government and conservatism act to destroy reputations and lives to reach their gruesome goals.

Maybe it's not that reliable regarding to her appearence and manners, but it importantly sheds light on this distinguished personality's life and struggle.

Frustrating.
15 July 2022
It's mostly a romantic novel inspired in a allegedly true operation.

The screenplay, production and story that should be told are fine, but main characters are very very weak plus the thin love triangle or square spoil it all.

It's an interesting and weird movie with some kind of poetry and message behind. It mixes familiar relation, friendship and a love story. It's nice because it's unusual and it makes you smile here and there and it ends with a peculiarly emotional outcome.

Massacre.
4 July 2022
It's hard to describe such aggressive content, it really makes you sick with a clear purpose of delivering a message or a lesson, the worst is that it's not fictional.

It's made for people who like the genre war, have patriotic feelings or admire any army aesthetics.

Considering it's seemingly cheap, it's still a very enjoyable piece. Direction, screenplay, footage and actings are greatly done and the plot is unusual and surprising, although threre are some gaps that could be better elucidated it's solid enough.

This movie is a terrific job, it's painful, truly breathtaking and hard to watch, sincerely.

It brings a difficult and ambiguous subject. But it's undeniably an amazing work cinematographically speaking, it's greatly written, directed and shot, the main performances are brilliant and it presents a particular and important standpoint for sure.

It's so f realistic that hurts.
