Angry Indian Goddesses (2015)
A must watch for every Indian male...
Angry Indian goddesses may be good movie for world cinema but is an important movie for Indian cinema. Though there have been movies showing difficulties faced by females in Indian society none has been so comprehensive.
Almost every other dialogue quips the hypocrisy of Indian mindset. They have been allowed to fly, but, that like a kite with everybody actively controlling their limits. With such different characters, common thread joining them all is anguish against the society venerating and denigrating females at the same time.
Nalin has given another brilliant piece of cinema with strong female characters like the ones we worship. Cinematography is enchanting using the right balance of light and dark.
Only God knows what censor board has been trying to censor when everything is so true...
Meeruthiya Gangsters (2015)
No heroes and no villains.. highly entertaining !!
A simple story of students getting little offtrack..Happy with the means, unconcerned with the end. Enjoying all along, there are no punches, but humour is as natural as it can be...
Jatin sarna is excellent as an addlehead and shadab kamal as the maverick.Mukul dev as an eccentric cop carrying all contrasting qualities. In fact all of them are brilliant.
Now the direction is a little sloppy. But for a debutant director who is an excellent scriptwriter, I wish he goes on getting better.
Overall a movie worth watching. Surely to be liked by all those engineering students in delhi NCR who have learnt more about life outside the college...
One by Two (2014)
frustration served right..worth your while!!!
i find the film wholly entertaining.abhay deol has graciously played his role of pakaoed IT freak. not necessarily every movie should present it's lead actor as an inspiration for masses. the movie is full of wittingly sarcastic remarks. the plot is unexpected all along with it's highs and lows but never boring.music is refreshingly fresh with crazy lyrics. dialogues are as in normal conversation never superfluous. sidecharacters of shashika, ACP dhawan, amit's parents and friends are fun to watch. story could be common but presentation is entirely offbeat. the movie would definitely qualify for contemporary cinema. better watch it in theatre than wait for DVD print...
